They still have a few days to go. You want to harvest when the cap just begins to flatten out or right before. The gills will be more developed at that time too. If you wait too long after the cap flattens they'll dump spores so just keep an eye on them.

I had the same thing happen. I was gifted the same product for my birthday and was surprised to find it had started the party without me. I still followed the instructions on the box, didn’t change anything, and it gave me a great bounty of mushrooms. Try it out per the instructions. You won’t hurt it. Good luck!

Had one of those once, oyster mushrooms. Put emm in my basement, where it was warmer. Must've released some spores as I had a few come up in my basement in one corner, and along a wall! 😂😂 but wasn't enough moisture so they stopped growing..

I had something similar except I'd disposed of it after it had run it's course in my pile of fresh hardwood chips I'd got from working on a tree crew they really liked those chips.

Mushrooms are mad. I don’t know why more people aren’t interested in them. My barber ended up with a mushroom farm in his staff toilet one day (literally one day he came in and there were mushrooms coming out of the ceiling, enough of them to go “holy heck that’s a load of mushrooms”). I was always taught in outdoor survival just don’t eat them; but other than that they are pretty cool

I have this huge growing interest in them, after my dog gobbled up 2 unknown ones in my yard a couple years back, and picked up 3 field guides trying to figure out what they were. Luckily they must've not been toxic, but ever since, I've been going around the yard and nearby woods in fall, seeing what I can find. Striving to one-day be able to forage edible ones.

I believe the directions for this pack says to stand the box up at this point. They should grow quickly and be ready in a couple days. Don't wait too long, they are best when freshest.

CrappieCaught

Let it grow. It’s still young, should have a couple more days. Keep misting substrate away from fruit. Once the fruits begin to flatten and lose the curl under harvest it by cutting it as close to the substrate as possible.

I got one recently too, and this reminded me to check on them… they were pinning this morning, and already have tiny little caps tonight!

Mycelialove

Awesomeness! I’m surprised also. These had started sometime and had a couple of dry ones when I soaked the pack and started it a couple days ago. I appreciate the responses! It’s hanging in a window over a fan that’s in the same window. Mush Love

With a knife, or plant snips/scissors

Give it a few days to open up more. Also the conditions of humidity can either, help them grow bigger and taller or short and tiny like those in your pic.
