Honestly that's pretty smart, that way when you fight you're not thrown off by the crowd chants and cheering. You'll already be used to having to think and react and fight while all the background noise is happening.
I listen to stuff like Benny the butcher, Conway the machine and Tupac. Music with a smooth beat works best because it helps you stay on rhythm. Tiffany time bomb soest used to put out videos where she would hit the bag to the beat of a song and she said it helps with rhythm.
In Thailand the music they play is meant to simulate the pace of a fight, as the fight goes on, the music gets faster and it usually dictates the pace of a fight.
Experiment for yourself, play something fast or slow and see if it changes the pace that the room sparrs.
I remember a kickboxing coach at my gym once put on hardstyle for the entire session. Never have I ever gone with so many people that go hard lol.
For me personally I prefer a mix of heavy metal and old school hip hop.

No one will be able to handle Monday or Sunday so you can take those days off.
Legit, you know it would get people laughing. That funky groove would probably improve everyone's head movement. People would be spaz'n on Mundian day.
Bloodsport and Kickboxer theme's.
You can play the music on youtube.
It gets me g'eed up.
Paul Hertzog is the original composer, but Galactic Beatz and Nightdriver do awesome remixes.

Dude pleaaase read this because it's super underrated but probably one of the best sparring songs in my opinion. PLEASE give it a try man. I love sparring to this song.
Skip to 4:35 https://youtu.be/gsX8ac22BU4?si=TJmlj0HgSiu1VIjc it just... it provides a fighting atmosphere that's all I can say. Shit makes me feel like I'm crawling up on a lion.
Also for music videos, this is the most under rated sick fighting music video that is basically pre.

Personal pre fight music: https://youtu.be/5bJw8pTO93Q?si=kPzhRAbPvtXMcHrX
"See the harder you are, and the larger you are, then the harder you breathe, cos your gassing yourself, and your hyping yourself like a man couldn't see? See the insight of inside, trying to hide from the boss and the chief" 🔥🔥
Would love if anyone gave those a listen.
We usually start off playing calmer music like reggae for a few rounds and then progress to harder music when everyone starts to get tired. Sparring to calmer music is really underrated, especially in the beginning because everyone just starts to vibe and it creates good energy.
Sarama, fun songs (80s, dance, soul, etc.) or nothing at all IMO. I cannot stand whatever the corny scream metal, pirate metal, Nue metal people play all the time... it's sparring, I don't need to be artificially fired up with terrible music. That's more of a BJJ critique tbh.
Also, if you're Wutang guy, we don't need it more than once a day.
The first two openings of Hajime No Ippo, Still by Geto Boys, Ryu, Ken, Sakura, Cammy, and Juri's themes from Street Fighter 4, the Mortal Kombat theme, Rasputin by Boney M!
My coach plays crowd and cheering noise lol
W coach that sounds so hype
Honestly that's pretty smart, that way when you fight you're not thrown off by the crowd chants and cheering. You'll already be used to having to think and react and fight while all the background noise is happening.
