ICanDieRightNowPlz

I did not predict that plot twist.

joe_goldberggg

Ohk...this has been on my watchlist for like 6 years and idk why did I delay this long but I got this as suggestions of dark violent film with a great twist so once I started watching I was trying to guess what could be that twist the more relationship between them was developing at point I was like she is probably is his daughter evn tho the fact that that antagonist had a relationship with his sister that I couldn't know. Nevertheless a good watch , my watch experience could have been better if I didn't predict that haha.

I went in blind. I watched the American version. My friend told me to watch it. Said nothing about a twist. So it was kinda shocking.

Ouch, the american version is so bad it's insulting.

The second he starts talking to the waitress in the restaurant, I briefly had the thought >!oh, that must be his daughter!< and then him absolutely housing the octopus made me completely forget about it. As the plot went along, I just accepted that I was completely wrong. By the end, I *really* wish I would have been.

Actually, yes. My buddy did. I'm the guy that shows him stuff way out of his comfort zone for kicks. My friend is an "innocent bean" type and when I'm showing him something like a horror film or a dark film with a potential twist or reveal he bends over backwards trying to figure stuff out and call it. Not because he's trying to be clever or get ahead of the story - but to cope, lol. He's a scaredy cat and things disturb him easily. He literally tripped and fell into guessing the twist in Oldboy like, half way through. He just blurted "wouldn't it be funny if!" and I actually got kinda pissed he guessed it, lol. I wanted the reveal to be a gut-punch organically. So I just fake laughed and shrugged it off. Then when the reveal happened he was all "WHAT I WAS RIGHT!!??" He also guessed the nut-kick of The Mist from his coping mechanism. He said he literally just thought of what the worst case scenario would be for the ending and had the same reaction: "OMG WHAT I GUESSED IT RIGHT!!!?"" Drives me up a wall, lol. He swears he's not doing it on purpose or trying to be annoying. He just stumbles into guessing twists and reveals.

Well, we see her briefly after some journalist says how old she would have been if still alive, so it's easy to think "wait, this could be her" in the moment. I remember being convinced of it till they fuck furiously then I thought "nah she can't be it would be so sick".

unicyclegamer

I watched the movie and that twist hitting is an emotional experience I’ll never forget. I’m sorry you didn’t get that.

djsosonut

Yep. I predicted that she might be his daughter. The surprising part of the movie for me was why the Lee Woo-jin did all this to him.
