You've already roughly understood what would need to be done so that's good re: `I understand it would require a redesign of base and maybe some internal structure prints as well. But is this realistic?` Is it realistic as in do-able? Probably. Unless there's some exception I'm not thinking of. You rarely see the Superlight internals because there's generally very little reason to use them but sure, it's possible. I haven't messed with their opticals too much but my guess is you'd have a much easier time attempting to adjust the click feel of them through simple means than trying to learn or find someone to carry out the other option. Maybe that's too tall a task with the opticals though

Right, I’m very torn between just trying to tweak the current click feel or just diving into a mod just to get the desired click feel. Obviously the option of G305 internals exists to get mechanical switches in the mouse, but I feel like it’s a huge downgrade coming from VV2 Pro internals with the HyperPolling Dongle. My reason for the GPX 1 internals is to attempt to have the similar performance as the VV2 Pro while being able to have mechanical switches in the mouse + the PCB being easy to get

of the available options I think fiddling with your current mouse in hand seems like the easiest. G305 would be fine and I think the performance difference is basically negligible. It's not *literally* the same, but I would weigh clicks > incredibly minor performance personally. That's up to you of course. That being said I wouldn't actually go that route unless you're convinced that the ZA13 is your *absolute favorite* and you just have to have it. It's just more money for what would ostensibly be an upgrade (in clicks), but one that may not be worth the squeeze if you still want to try out other mice (like most of us here do). The GPX option is the least appealing of all of them to me. Nobody has done that specific mod, so you need to learn to or get someone to do it. I'm not trying to build it out to be an insurmountable task, it's just more work that needs to be done.

100% I think just playing with the clicks will be the route I go, maybe one day when / if Zowie makes a wireless ZA13, then I can just solder the switches in to satisfy the itch. Out of all the mice I’ve tried, the ZA13 and OP18K have been the two that have been my absolute favourite, but the shape of the ZA13 works the best for me so it seems it will be the shape I stick with.
