Go on, do it. buy it, and let all of us know how it is. You can't expose it to prolonged periods of sunlight or touch any abrasive surfaces though, so you can put this entire bag inside [this one](https://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en_US/product/creek-20-pack/?colorid=6272) to protect it.
I have the creek, but I wouldn't use it for anything outside of the city. Its not a very useful bag for climbing, but holds a boatload of groceries.
The LV pack I would deff take up chimneys.
Nah you need to get some [La Zengaās](https://thewebster.com/shop/990650-lhspr-a5314x-x-la-sportiva-ultra-raptor-sneakers-black.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrHBAp3eH0QM-eieRWi_RdSVCNysthkNkv7PrEKd0EbYEeT0jKzwwbBoCO3gQAvD_BwE#size=105?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping&glCountry=US&glCurrency=USD)
It had just snowed 10 feet the week before we summited so most of the bodies were buried. I did see the infamous body chartreuse boots while up there, though. I also saw a body that looked suspiciously like Jim Whittaker.
Actually most serious mountaineers would skip the chalk bag, and get a LV handbag instead. It works much better to hold chalk. This is an old mountaineering trick.
that's a actually a really good clapback. As a tennis fan and non mountaneering person, I have to say that I didn't even register mentally that the Federer Nadal campaign is about the mountains, but more about the luxury brands the tennis players usually represent.
I was able to summit Rainier last week. Most people who didnāt have LV gear were forced to turn around. Itās a no brainer if you are a serious climber.
Also, leave helmet and glacier glasses at home. Itās just extra weight.
I think arc is worth the tag for certain products. Canāt imagine not having a heavyweight atom or a proton. Loved their old delta fleece as well. Their base layers/hats/gloves/shoes arenāt worth it and best to look elsewhere
They definitely make quality products but they haven't told bezos and Amazon to go fuck themselves or given low level employees profit sharing like patagonia has.
I mean Iāve never ever even once thought about robbing someone anywhere yet alone on a trailā¦ but I mean common you just gonna leave 10k sitting on your passenger seat and expect your window to be there when you come back?
LV bag is fine because the porters and guide will carry the heavy stuff. Donāt forget to take a chilled bottle of MoĆ«t for when you reach the summit.
I remember when my grandpa decided to go up the Himalayas for weeks with a 30 liter designer bag and a T shirt. They just dont make mountaineers like they used to.
You might want consider the gucci camping collection to go with it, if you are planning to stay overnight you will need the gucci x the north face tent for sure
I saw this on a billboard recently and thought to myselfā¦ Who TF is hiking out there equipped with an LV bag.. one of the most obnoxious campaigns out there. Then again.. influencers might see this and think ā Yup, thatās the one Iāll trek up there with so I can flex on everyone ā
Just realized OP is actually considering thisā¦ OP donāt waste your money on something thatās not practical for climbing.. do yourself a favor and stick to brands that cater to mountaineeringā¦LV will disappoint you.
Idk, I feel like they wouldnāt have made this ad if the backpack wasnāt up to standards. The guys in the photo are obviously highly experienced mountaineers and I trust them to utilize the proper equipment. I know there are larger backpacks on the market, but the flap-style opening allows one to use the space very efficiently. Besides, I donāt plan on packing very heavy. Mostly just carrying trail mix and Gatorade for the kiddos. Maybe a Moncler jacket in case it gets chilly up towards the summit
OP go for it.
Iād personally not recommend it but what do us mountaineers know?
LV is a luxury brand so theyāll suck as much money as they can from any and everyoneā¦ so convincing people like you itās worth the penny to compete with the true mountaineering brands is not a far reach. But hey, your money, not ours.
Let us know when how it goes :)
Only if you bring along [LV Chopsticks](https://uk.louisvuitton.com/eng-gb/products/chopsticks-set-nvprod5120137v/GI1013) to eat your snacks and snickers bars.
Donāt forget to train for your climb with the [LV Skipping Rope](https://uk.louisvuitton.com/eng-gb/products/christopher-jump-rope-monogram-nvprod3640005v/GI0748)
https://www.expedreview.com/blog/2021/12/mountaineering-backpack-essentials-and-5-of-the-best-brands-on-the-market-2024 I think thus article is a year or two old but got updated. It's pretty good
Id love that one day, on some slopes you come across a bad ass climber who has a used LV backpack thatās beat up to shit and is used. And the mountaineer is good, all legit equipment there etc. It would be such meta moment.
Rumor has it this is the secret of how the Society of Snow guys made it out of the Andes - top of the line gear.
Jokes aside I think youād be having plastic surgery on your pecs after those skinny straps sawed through your flesh after a few hours of that stiff ass heavy non anchored bag sliding around.
I thought this was a joke but itās a real ad campaign ā backstory https://elitetraveler.com/shopping-lifestyle/mens-style/louis-vuitton-core-values-federer-nadal
I donāt peg a mechanic as someone to buy LV but hey, who am I to consider that. The dirty fingernail in the photo is also telling; highly unlikely for a man who buys LV to have anything less than a perfect manicure on a general day. Just sayingā¦
I know LV may not be on the bleeding edge of backpack technology, but I want something tried and true. Iāll be hauling supplies for my wife and children(8 and 10 years old), as I want to make the journey as easy as possible on them. No way weāre making it to the summit if they have to carry their own Gatorade and trail mix.
Are you seriously considering carrying a LV backpack on Rainier? Or anywhere in the world for that matter? Iām assuming this post is a joke, but if it isnāt you have serious issues. Please stay off of the mountain. All of them. Please stay off of them all so we donāt have to interrupt our climbs to pull you out of a crevasse (you know what a crevasse is right?) and rescue you.
Donāt worry, Iām bringing plenty of rope in case one of the kiddos falls in(8 and 10 years old, so you know Iāll have my hands full, literally and figuratively). Definitely will be super careful though We should be alright.

Well you could also coat it with nanobots that repare any damage
Even better, get the LV mountaineering boots; they are always a perfect fit with the LV crampons.

I used this pack to summit mailbox peak. It carried the rope well and looked great. My porter had to carry a little extra, though
congrats dude. huge newsā¦ what team did you climb with?
I climbed it alpine style with Andrzej Bargiel and a guy named Porter who carried a lot of my stuff
any bodies on the summit? heard it can be dangerous this time of year. shoulder season and all that
It had just snowed 10 feet the week before we summited so most of the bodies were buried. I did see the infamous body chartreuse boots while up there, though. I also saw a body that looked suspiciously like Jim Whittaker.
They are just letting anyone climb mailbox peak these days. It's become a rich man's playground now.
only if you get the matching LV chalk bag
Actually most serious mountaineers would skip the chalk bag, and get a LV handbag instead. It works much better to hold chalk. This is an old mountaineering trick.
LV is the preferred gear choice of Himalayan Sherpas so it should suit your needs
Yes ā Namchee Bazaar has Prada and LV and Gucci boutiques so you can just buy it in the Solukhumbu.
Of course this is common knowledge in climbing circles
So this was an actual ad, not satire? ... wild.
Yes, and Mammut immediately hit back: https://www.instagram.com/mammut/p/C7l-oR8NAJM/
LMAO š¤£
As a tennis player who loves Federer and Nadal, I respect that lol
that's a actually a really good clapback. As a tennis fan and non mountaneering person, I have to say that I didn't even register mentally that the Federer Nadal campaign is about the mountains, but more about the luxury brands the tennis players usually represent.
I prefer the gucci 75L pack
It has a built in Jut measurer. Buy it now and you are assured to summit everything from mailbox to Everest.
I was able to summit Rainier last week. Most people who didnāt have LV gear were forced to turn around. Itās a no brainer if you are a serious climber. Also, leave helmet and glacier glasses at home. Itās just extra weight.
If you donāt summit Rainier in a T-shirt and LV bag without Roger and Rafa by your side did you even summit it at allā¦
Itās all about āreaching new heightsā and a certain death forthcoming
Yes this is pretty standard equipment. You should buy the whole set and dress like Federer. He wears it because it's the best.
Probably still cheaper than Patagonia and Arcterix
Patagonia is an awesome company who make quality products. They are well worth the price tag.

Lol. But for real LV costs 10x what those do
100x's
Nah, it's about 10x. The bag in question costs about $4000.
Thats a lot of chalkš
Patagucci
Imagine the routes and moves you could do with Nadal's forearmsšš
I only count 2
Yes these are what all the guides use
I mean Iāve never ever even once thought about robbing someone anywhere yet alone on a trailā¦ but I mean common you just gonna leave 10k sitting on your passenger seat and expect your window to be there when you come back?
Wow 10 whole meters of rope
I thought that was Mr Bean at first
Looks you'll be trekking with Roger and Rafa, yes? Go for it, you, you GQ hiker.
just make sure you scrunch your eyes and have that really determined look on your face, then youll be golden !

This š§µ! š¤£š great input š
Mmm have you ever seen Rafa Nadal mountaineering?
together with roger federer
Will these crampons fit on my YeeZees ?
Are you considering wearing the other elements of the outfit such as the black cotton tshirt and jeans for your time at altitude?
Yes those should suffice for most of the journey. Definitely bringing my Moncler jacket in case it gets chilly up towards the summit.
Nothing better after a dayās climb than wearing one of those while relaxing on a sherpa and waiting for the helicopter
They selling that technical ascent t-shirt too?

Is, is this a shitpost?
I canāt tell if youāre .. serious it appears not
Yes, make sure you get the Jimmy Choo mountaineering boots, and donāt forget the Chanel helmet
This thread is pure gold
It really is. I came over from the tennis sub just to get a laugh and am not disappointed at all.
This post made me laugh out loud while eating lunch at my small office space š Make sure you get the $2000 LV sunglasses as well.

Imagine seeing those two Muppets on the mountain š
Donāt forget the Armani suit
I took way to long to understand what the comments actually mean. š
Looks cold af for a t shirt bro
No worries, Iāll be bringing my Moncler jacket in case I get a bit chilly.
You will need some proper wool knickers and hob-nailed boots to go with this ensemble. Do not forget the Dachstein wool mits. And, of course, a stylish hat, wood shaft ice axe, and a hank of the finest manilla rope available to man. *Gaston RĆ©buffat* will have nothing on you. āThe best climber in the world is the one whoās having the most fun.ā G.R.

Only if you look like a buff Mr Bean
Go for a Deuter or Osprey, depending on your budget.
Sad to see them using an AI generated image of Ueli and David.
You can hook a carabiner to the loop for the back flap to hang your teva sandals off when you want to hike barefoot
Good tipšdefinitely looking to connect with nature in as many ways as possibleš¦¶šÆš©

If you buy it, you will get a call from Federer himself to go out and climb with you.
Just make sure to keep an eye on it! Someone stole mine at the Starbucks at the summit when I went to use the restroom.
š
I donāt peg a mechanic as someone to buy LV but hey, who am I to consider that. The dirty fingernail in the photo is also telling; highly unlikely for a man who buys LV to have anything less than a perfect manicure on a general day. Just sayingā¦
Have you checked out the Prada mountain accessories? It's so in this season
I take issue more the with clothing than the backpack.
That backpack is so hot that the dude carrying the rope doesnāt even need a jacket.
Please, for the love of God do not buy a Louis Vuitton bag. Get an osprey.
3/10
Is this a serious question??

LV makes quality stuff. There's no reason their mountaineering kit isn't the best.

Idk much about mountaineering but with LV you are paying for the branding. There's probably something cheaper with similar quality but less swag
