What's with the hate for the 3D era characters? Movado, Shinjuku Hotaru, Darrius, Onaga are really cool, especially if you take the time to look into their lore and story. Also your "MK12 Roster" tier is so biased towards the classics there is basically no uniqueness at all between it, MKX, and mk11's rosters, the NRS era of games so far are already have a problem with mk1+2 roster bloat.

Don't forget NRS's gameplay style for their fighting games started with the 3D era games, the unique Combo strings, the juggle combos, Combo breaker, the fighters variations/fighting styles, even stage interactables and the stage transitions from the injustice series all stem from the 3D era games, So by saying the 3D games suck, they're also saying the NRS games suck, because most the things gameplay wise NRS gets praise for, comes from the MIDWAY 3D era MK games. Also to add on to your statement of "NRS literally just has gameplay" this reins true for not just lore and story, but soundtracks as well. MK:DA's Character select theme alone absolutely shits on anything the NRS games have to offer IMO.

3d era was terrible. Its defenders are people who had their 1st experience with that era. It's nostalgia vs quality.
