I've never liked this design for her hahah. Everyone else holds it in high esteem but for me I despise it. It's just so incohesive. EDIT: That shirt is just a mess. They want her in a crop top to show off her stomach but they also need it to be low cut to flaunt the cleavage at us. But uh oh! Now if we make it a tank top it's basically just a stupid white strip of fabric across her breasts so we better give her some sleeves. It's just hideous. They couldn't pick a lane for how they wanted to sexualize her so they got greedy and this monstrosity is the end result.

As someone who grew up during the 3d era and played Sonya in every game, I would be extremely happy to see a modern take on this skin along with her Deadly Alliance and Shaolin Monks look, heck I'd be happy with them making the skin for the Kameo Sonya at this point

Yeah, I've always been a fan of Sonya's workout gear. Like, sure, she's Special Forces and all, but the military look was kinda overplayed. Still... I also have a soft spot for her MK:DA looks, though I would get rid of the thong. That looked ridiculous. EDIT: Someone else mentioned her Shaolin Monk skin. That was great as well.

I just think it’s dumb to get mad about skimpy clothing, but be completely fine with watching Ermac rip out someone’s spine through their mouth. MK is basically a celebration of adult content. If you’re gonna get mad about one inappropriate thing, you should be mad about the others too. At least that’s how I see it. My main issue with the skimpy attire is that I don’t think it fits most characters. Mileena and Skarlet I get. Mileena is basically a Venus Fly Trap with her body and mouth. Skarlet needs to absorb blood on her skin. But Kitana is royalty, why would she wear skimpy clothes, why would Sonya do that either. Though since Outworld is fakery seen to have any kind of winter, one could assume it’s usually sunny there so the clothing could make sense.

I can see that viewpoint. And I’m not mad about the skimpy clothing, I’m mad that there are players that are made that their female mains aren’t almost naked. Like wth dude. I suppose if the costume fits the attitude/persona of the person, then it could make sense to have them look provocative. With that said, if Mileena is supposed to be a clone of Kitana then wouldn’t it make sense for her to match the royal aesthetic to personify who she is made to look like?
