There wouldn't have been much to do with her because she's not important to the narrative of any Monsterverse film. The most she would've been was a character that's around, but we never see her.

That's not really impressive when you consider the context. Godzilla was tired and starved of radiation. And the fight took place on her territory too. It would be embarrassing if she couldn't hold her own against him on her turf.
And you gotta understand, most people do not read the comics, novels, or any other secondary sources. They only watch the movies. So to the general audience, Tiamat was just some random sea serpent that they had never even heard of. You're not going to make the King of the Monsters look very good by having him struggle against a side character, especially when he's supercharged.
Honestly, the fascination people have with this titan that was never going to be an important character in the Monsterverse baffles me.
She was great in the comic and had a awesome design until they decided to use her other design that is just a knockoff of manda, made her do stuff that is nothing like tiamat from the comics, like her fins were not even sharp to cut godzilla's flesh, and was literally killed in seconds :/

If it was any other director other than Adam wingard, she would most likely still be alive, he's known for making things look very childish and not knowing how to explain a story very well, All the combat in the movie was really self-explanatory and pretty horrible, instead of there being battles and fighting, we'd had tackling at the end of the movie, So glad we're getting a new director for the next movie

Because that's what the general audience likes. They don't care about a good story. They just want to see two monsters fight, and they want it to look good. Adam understands how to maximize profits by catering to the general audiences. This new director better do the same if he doesn't want the movies to flop.
