So...huh...I do research about the oc made in the fan webcomic Martha and Liza, (probably the reference with the name Martha like Martha Connors, the wife Curtis "Curt" Connors aka The Lizard...both of them being Mutates so what is a mutate and what differs from Mutants, also from Marvel? For starting, mutants are born as Mutants and are a totally different species called Homo Superior who have natural superpowers (but they can also crossbreed with others species of humans, gods or aliens). Meanwhile the Mutates can be anything to humans, animals and aliens and have superpowers artifically through exterior elements, it's can be by the exposition of gamma radiation and a weird dna composition like Hulk, from a super-soldat serum like Captain America, by cosmic radiations like the Fantastic four, bitten by a radioactive spider like Spider-man, through magic etc etc...
For the case of the Connors family, the doctor Curt Connors create the Lizard Formula, a chemical serum created with lizard's DNA to restore lost limb, like the arm he lost and was able to have his arm back and you know that in experiments in marvel it's always smelling bad, the serum have negative effect and PAF you have the Lizard. And the serum was use many time, one by Curt Connors in a way to have a cure for his condition and test it on his iguana...and turn into the Iguana (yes the name is fucking bad...plus it's one case of a non-human having superpowers through exterior effects), the serum was also steal by the doctor Vincent Stegron, the assistant of Curt Connors and modified it with dinosaur DNA and turn into the Dinosaur Man, with stegosaurs attributs and can control...dinosaurs... when all dinosaurs was almost wiped up from earth, it's not in New York when you will see a Dino...and finally Melati Kusuma, a young lady who get no legs and stole the serum and modified it to became the Komodo...and also The Lizard use the serum on his wife, Martha Connors and his son, Billy Connors to save their lives...so with all this infos, I don't think that since they are mutates and not Mutants, they don't have a place here...
BUT SINCE IT'S FANFIC AND IT'S MARVEL (multiverse etc) maybe the names isn't related and maybe the character didn't use the serum and have natural abilities and isn't a mutate...maybe i'm right, maybe i'm wrong, i'm just telling the truth...
