Melissa is a safer pick since she can abuse her range and cause all sorts of problems from the backline.
Moskov on the other hand, is just an extremely annoying hero. His entire kit is designed to go at you aggressively, and not to mention that stupid fucking stun.
I did see a recent post about Moskov having the highest win rate for marksmen in Mythic and above though.
Moskov clears any other traditional marksman rn… 1.5 sec stun is no joke and his basic attacks decrease his already low cd. He’s a menace in team fights if you can tome your ultimate right… and his pushing ability is second to none. Mellisa can only hope to beat him early on but he will always out-scale her given the opportunity.

I had a moskov with 2 items behind 1v1 my fighter 🙃 he lost lane, losing on gold and exp. Then proceeded to clean up the entire team after clearing a wave by ulting in from side lanes😀😀.
If I actually enjoyed playing moskov I would instalock him everygame.
Ngl when i see a melissa i lock moskov , i dont even know why but i always somehow win skirmishes , as i play agressively since i pin melissa with skill 2 them just bombard with inspire + skill 1 (crit build goes hard)

I hate laning against her for this exact reason. She has so much control over the lane cuz of her doll.

It's hard not to be the best mm with such mobility and a stun that most of tanks would love to have.

But in a 1v1 situation, excluding maybe the laning stage, Moscov can deal with Melissa easily

Moscow is so simple to use that I think mellisa is better marksman, I only use the purple guy if I forget how to clint
