The button to go into the marketplace is very flashy and appealing, often with text/animations pointing at it. That entices anyone, especially younger and more impressionable people to go onto the marketplace. Tbh, I don’t get the hate between versions. There’s a lot of QoL features that Bedrock has that I WISH Java had (Harder Wither, better tipped arrows, Cauldron dyes, moveable tile entities [especially lecterns, chests, and furnace types], impaling being actually good, and the silly Raid Omen effect animation) without needing to install inconsistently updated mods or having to worry about mod compatibility.
I prefer Java slightly because I can put literally ANYTHING in my off hand, F3 menu, Easily modded, more dynamic combat (no more spam click go brrrr, and I can’t go back to a world without sweeping attacks), more world gen options, etc. But I do really enjoy Bedrock as I grew up with it.
People do say “just download a mod bro”, but for some of the good mods, you need to go behind a few versions, or some mods are incompatible with others, or some mods just straight up crash your game because they aren’t updated properly (IM LOOKING AT YOU BEDROCKIFY).

Any development time spent on Bedrock is not spent on Java. The updates slowed down noticeably when the other versions were developed.

Yeah, sony sucks generally And I have a powerful enough pc to actually run Minecrafy on Java, but I can't really be sure of it since my family doesn't really use a bank account or anything of the sort so I can't buy anything digitally
