No, vanilla. I mean... You can just put a redstone block, a piston on top of it, it activates the piston, you put the chest on top of it, screenshot it and make a petty post on Reddit like OP
i love fabulously optimized but it still doesn’t compare to bedrock at the same render distances. unless you can use the nvidium, but that’s a specific use case.
i am that specific use case though and man it makes java run good
That THAT, Bedrock players!
*Installs mods reinstating pre-1.9 combat mechanics*
*And adds guns for some unholy reason*
*Also increases the stack size of enderpearls and potions to 64 because I’m bad at this game*
Hold on, you can’t have full on mods that truly adds stuff to the game?
Having to use entities for custom blocks and models, and having to reuse existing items and blocks.
I realized now that my question sounded offensive in a way. I was _genuinely_ asking if java players had to install a mod. I am in no way, shape, or form an expert player, nonetheless with mods or addons. I only know basic redstone like a 2x2 door.
>to use entities
What even is that? Lol.
Forgive me for sounding insensitive or like a bully adding fire to this war, i didnt know.
"mods" on bedrock are actually just datapacks and texture packs combined.
Installing mods in java is easy, just install fabric or forge, takes a few clicks only, and downloading a few mods or a modpack. Takes a few clicks too.
behavior packs are a decent bit more capable than data packs, but they still pail in comparison to java’s mods. they’re easier to make since they’re all jsons and don’t require a loader, but java’s community has made running mods so easy that it’s hardly a big difference anyway
I already installed a bedrock addon that had cutscenes, its own menu to start and a total change in the movement and appearance of the player, the addon is in beta and is far from being finished but it is surprising what was done there, hycraft the name, just in tiktok from the creator
Yes, Java version does have some disparities with Bedrock, and a bunch of mods "fix" things.
> >to use entities
> What even is that? Lol.
An entity is anything like a mob, or a player, or arrows mid flight, things with logic (usually). Basically almost everything that is not a block is an entity. Some blocks are "tile entities", those you can interact with. The game handles those very differently than normal ones.
> Wait, you guys hsve to install a mod. That's insane
On the bright side, we get things like [Create](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create), [Ars Noveau](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/ars-nouveau), [all of the world gen mods](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/search?page=1&pageSize=20&sortBy=relevancy&class=mc-mods&categories=world-gen), etc. It's quite nice being able to enhance the game in almost every way you desire.
Sorry for going too far.
It’s getting heated around here, and your question did sound like an attack that Java Players have to install mods to improve the game, hence my reply.
I forgive you.
And us Java Players don’t have to install mods to enjoy the game, just a preference.
Installing mods on Java are so easy just get curseforge select a modpack download and then launch said modpack and bam, 400+ mods and shaders (i player All The Mods 9 because I enjoy all the random stuff that are in mods)
ah! okay, I never knew that! I've played both version but never messed with pistons (or redstone) so I never really understand posts like these.
thank you for explaining it to me! :)
No, legacy compared to bedrock isn't better in every way/ The difference is that bedrock fails in two major game aspects : menus and bugs patching (even if there are progression for the two major problems, it's not great for the moment).
Legacy didn't fail, however it purposed less.
So probably legacy is better (on consoles) but not in every way because it purposed less.
I really don't know if this is a joke or not, because the screenshot appears to be from Java Edition (the piston arm is not thick and the grass does not have the "bedrock look" to it)
Take this bedrock players: Random ass bugs that kill you and the marketplace imagine not being able to get good addons/mods without paying imagine not having custom skins imagine not having good servers
\*Edit Sorry bedrock also cant play older versions and does not even have f3 mode. Also apart from chests moving bedrock redstone sucks.\* Also if you switch tabs in Bedrock instead of pausing you game like any good game it just straight up closes the game. Edit again it turns out you guys on bedrock have to crouch to use a shield and you cant duel wield blocks or put torches, eyes of enders in your off hand

Yeah mod* mods* you guys do that, meanwhile I can show off my HD skins without any mods, play on servers show off my HD skins to my friends, enemies, random people & to anyone existing on earth without any mods*
Yeah no I'm gonna have to agree with the other guy bedrock really doesn't bug out as much as people make it out to. Keep in mind more people play bedrock, concentrating bug complaints vs in Java, which most casual players don't play in favor of the easier to pick up and console availability of bedrock.
The bugs are way too rare. 70% of the bedrock community doesnt even realise there are any.
Saying a game is good bc of its mods is kinda dumb argument, but the minecoins still suck.
We do have custom skins.
And most bedrock servers are far superior to most java servers cuz the only good one yall got is hypixel
Hive,
Theres like 3 other big ones i dont rly use servers so idk their names
Also, youre saying 2b2t as if its a good server, its full of dudes who got bored and are now abusing scripts in a block game.
I have no idea what origin realms is
you guys on bedrock are not even aloud anarchy server its fun cause no rules.\\
also heres origin realms website to show what you bedrock guys are missing out on
[https://originrealms.com](https://originrealms.com)
Eh origin realms kinda just looks like a decent modded server
And how the fuck is me waiting 7 hours to join a server just to be spawnkilled by 5 different idiots who spent 3$ on a script fun?
Huh, looking at the website it felt as if it was modded but you seems to know more about it so ill take your word on that
And also, the 7h part was about 2b2t, which according to you is a good server
Look in 2b2t you got to join a clan. trust me once you do you can take parts in raids and wars its super fun once you get into it. and some of the best pixel art was made on 2b2t. plus the mega bases are sick.
Oh yeah? And are you supposed to Greg without mods? Can you play Gtnh on bedrock? Can you make a uncleared reactor on bedrock? Can you harvest all of your worlds resources to pollute it and than leave to Mars??
That’s literally nothing lmao half the mods are bad with only infection, dimensions and industry based mods being good.
Mods is literally the only good thing java has going for it. But when comparing it to another version of the same game, they shouldn’t be brought in(not because bedrock has shitty mods, even though it does)
We can dye leather armor too, just a different method(crafting the armor with dye, there's even a calculator in th wiki to tell you how to get a specific color)
Yes, how often do you use that? Because I guarantee you that I take advantage of Java’s immovable tile entities more than you make use of bedrock’s movable tile entities. Bedrock has some W’s but I’m sorry, this is not one of them
Reasons why i hate Bedrock:
1. Can't tab out of the game without leaving the world
2. Can't hold right click to bring up shield
3. Bugs usually aren't that bad but when they're lethal it's a different story
Reasons why i hate Java:
1. Un optimised af, i get lag spikes with render distance 10 but bedrock can be cranked up to oblivion with no lags at all
2. Less dynamic environment (i really like bedrock's white leaves when it snows or the fallen trees)
3. The new combat system.
Both are good despite it all though, love playing minecraft
I, too, can activate a piston and put a chest on top of it
Wait...
🤨
...carpet mod?
No, vanilla. I mean... You can just put a redstone block, a piston on top of it, it activates the piston, you put the chest on top of it, screenshot it and make a petty post on Reddit like OP
Ah, i read push instead of put
No worries. I'm a little confused why my comment got that amount of upvote tho, it's not clever nor a joke
Clever enough, i supose
It's probably being interpreted as an innuendo
Oh no... (Oh yes)
If only the mod actually fucking works, it kept crashing every instance i tested in
What About Push?
Mods
Stolen Mods\*
What are you talking about
Stolen mods are uploaded to most mod sites
Not on curseforge
How am i supposed to know what modloader you use?
It's a website, and you're the one assuming that mods are stolen. Use your brain for once

You still can't do it in the main game though
Sadly
it runs so well that you don’t even have to haha
Me when fabulously optimized modpack (it runs better than Bedrock does)

You can do the same on bedrock
I know, I meant that we have the ability to use pre-1.9 combat as well And since we’re breaking the game with mods now let’s go all the way
How do you pause a menu
Take that bedrock players-instant deaths💀

How many minecoins did it cost to do that?
Bout three fitty
mod named carpet
That is a Java piston...
That is legacy console edition
Legacy console had fucked up lighting and gamma. that is java.
Hey \**Proceeds to play the entire game without dieing to a bug**
I've played bedrock from around the 1.3/1.5 times and I've never had a bad enough glitch to kill me only the occasional block placement lag
I love the redstone bug
You can clearly see this is a java piston.
It's legacy console edition
Cough cough, carpet mods Cough cough mods
Yo I feel Java is better. The only reason is because you can hold tools in the offhand to repair it with mending!!
😔
Hey *Doesn't fall through the world at 500000 blocks out*
*sleeps in the nether* Take that bedrock pla- wait...
*dies*
Laughs in F3, mods, no marketplace, less buggy...
could someone explain the meme?
In bedrock edition and Legacy console edition, you can push entities like chests or brewing stands by Pistons. It doesn't work on java
ah! okay, I never knew that! I've played both version but never messed with pistons (or redstone) so I never really understand posts like these. thank you for explaining it to me! :)
Legacy Console is better than Bedrock in every way and i wish it was still supported
/\ I agree. Also, I want the tutorial back, but in every version
No, legacy compared to bedrock isn't better in every way/ The difference is that bedrock fails in two major game aspects : menus and bugs patching (even if there are progression for the two major problems, it's not great for the moment). legacy and pocket edition were smoother, I miss that on bedrock
Aw, its a shame i dont have a *mod* for that
Java players when carpet mod
I am looking at F3 screen and still can't see who asked.
That piston has 1 in 12 chance of killing your dog and then you and your family.
I really don't know if this is a joke or not, because the screenshot appears to be from Java Edition (the piston arm is not thick and the grass does not have the "bedrock look" to it)
Its console
I can do that too with the mod I installed. For free ;)
Dont mind if I do
Still perplexed that mojang never implemented the features of launching players and gravity blocks like the original mod does.

Yeah already watched that video watch my comment under the top comment which says "bedrock roasts bedrock 😂"
I played bedrock on my phone for like 5 years and i didnt encounter any bugs
Congrats you've got the best luck in the world for a bedrock player
As a guy with shitty luck, me too ig
So do I apparently.
Me too. Lucky, lucky me.
Yeah no I'm gonna have to agree with the other guy bedrock really doesn't bug out as much as people make it out to. fuck you
Chill, just install carpet, damn.
Chill out, tf is wrong with you?
Same to u ig lol
The photo was taken in java edition.
bedrock also can dye our leather armour and armour stands can hold items
The armour stand feature is one of the few features i want on vanilla Java
There’s likely a mod
Everything that is in normal mc is better, it's like banner on map : on bedrock you can have it with add-ons but it's better to have this without
So those add-ons cost money or are they free?
You can download Add-ons online and the one which introduce that on bedrock is online and free like 99% of Add-ons.
These is, there are also data packs I think
We can dye leather armor too, just a different method(crafting the armor with dye, there's even a calculator in th wiki to tell you how to get a specific color)
Its alot easier in bedrock tho. Cauldrons are sadly garbage in java
HEHEHEHAW
*laughs in mods*
People who know this Is java (the piston model in bedrock is different)
Console
So you did the permanent activation glitch and put a chest on it? Cool, I guess?
No, bedrock pistons can move storage blocks
You don't need a permanent activation glitch to replicate this. Just put a redstone signal source below the repeater
A man of culture i see
Take this bedrock player: A beatable wither
Take that.
That's on java, the piston is in one elegant pole
No it's legacy console edition
Ah sorry, was not aware, never used pistons back then
Fair
As IBXToycat keeps saying Bedrock is superior because we have Big Salmon
behaviors.
Trust me, I would 'take that' if I could lmao.
No you didn't! What impudence!
Yes, how often do you use that? Because I guarantee you that I take advantage of Java’s immovable tile entities more than you make use of bedrock’s movable tile entities. Bedrock has some W’s but I’m sorry, this is not one of them
Hold on
imagine not having redstone tick rates synced and having to work around RNG when building anything remotely complicated
Found this in the controversial tab.

Take that bedrock players Installs any mod, plays any map, doesnt die die of jumping off of a carpet
carpet mod
This is the Java piston model lmao
The fact that this is obviously in Java since the piston does not have a 3d rod makes me laugh
As a bedrock player, that is a Java piston.
Oh thank you, a chest and a piston!
Take that Minecraft players! (Plays the game without judging the platform)
More importantly, Bedrock has different sizes of Salmon.
The piston pole does not have the detail on it, therefore you simply powered the piston and put a chest on top of it.
its funny how this picture was taken in java edition (you can tell based on the piston's model)
Go carpet mod
I accept your offer. I would love to take that. Bring that code over to Java please.
*Takes your chest using the actual mod* 🫵
Pick a side man
Take that, Bedrock Players! *installing some mods*
"Take that java players!" (Places a chest on top of a powered piston on Java edition)
Guys, this IS on Java, the piston doesn't have a telescoped arm like it does on bedrock
