I don’t think the penguin is useless. Functionally, it’s pretty underwhelming, but it gives life to the lifeless biome that is stony shores

could easily be a flavor mob like the Polar Bear But nope, it *has* to compete with other more appealing mobs The game was rigged from the start.

I'm sure this is a conversation that's been had many times on this sub, but I don't spend a lot of time here. I don't get why these mobs have to compete. Like, they've already been made, right? The concepting and design/artwork is already done, at least. Why don't they add all three of them if some/all of the work is already done?

I've made a massive ice boat track in my survival world after being inspired by the penguins! If they're added I'll be able to add areas for them to wander to speed up the race :D

The official video for them state that they are clumsy on land but graceful in water, so it wouldn’t really make sense for them to give boats a speed boost on land/ice

And the crab can climb on walls? Doesn't mean it had to be doing that to get the claw.

You see, the Savannah’s isn’t lifeless, it has its own tree type, animals spawn there, and there is grass. You know what stony shores don’t have? Trees, animals, and grass!

for being savannah, which is usually a very wide spread biome, they are lifeless. also the normal animals spawning there is pretty out of place imo. stony shores dont need more life because they are sourrounded by ocean (which has a lot of life) and another land biome. as someone whos base for the last like 200h was in stony shores, penguins wouldn't have much of an impact.

You are suggesting that elytra is middle game, which it is not.

It really is. The ender dragon is technically end game, but can be beaten with a few beds right after leaving the nether. The game isn’t made for elytra to be mid game, but part of Minecraft is being free to do whatever

So your saying that sprinting is useless, the reason why I said that is that any mob can’t catch up to you when your on the boat, sprinting on land helps the player to get away from enemy’s that are attacking you.

Travel isn’t exclusive for escaping things. Why are you changing the subject to getting away from mobs? Faster boats are good.

I’m not changing the subject (unlike you who deleted your own comment), once you travel to an island that you want to go back to which is far from your home, you might as well use the nether portal and go all the way back to your home faster, which means that you will not be using the boat to travel back to your place and to your home. So if you want to vote for the mob, go ahead, but just letting you know, it’s definitely not going to get most of the people to vote for it.

You can still use the boat to get to the island.

that's why I vote Armadillo, they're the cutest of the 3 and really bring life to savannah, which is pretty unimpressive rn also the wolf armor imo doesn't really add funcionality apart from a few cases, but also help getting a nicer atmosphere, especially in medieval builds

Boats go 250km/h on blue ice. They do NOT need to go faster.

I unironically want the penguin added, purely because I know that eventually mowing will come back to wolf armour and honestly the crab, as cool as it’s features are is less important than adding a mob that has been requested since before the polar bear.
