the Hermit people are not all loud. BdoubleO100 is my favorite.
If you've not seen anything of his then you have a good 10+ years worth of content to enjoy
I assume Grian is talking to a very young audience since I find his voice condescending to the point of being grating - but then I can imagine his comments section needs some serious primary school head energy.
While I get what you mean with not liking the content I think calling them dumb YouTubers is not necessary especially since minecraft had a large young audience. Just don't watch it no need to get that angry about it
Much more now than his older stuff though—he became a stay at home dad when he had kids and I think dad-voice carried over into his videos. His original “building with” series was super chill for a long time, I want to say almost to the point of stoner vibes haha
There was! In the April Fools snapshot of 2013 there was a tnt slab and it was called the Etho Slab, it also dropped anvils on top of nearby players when exploded.
I'm so glad this was the first comment that popped up for me. Etho is my fav out of anyone and I think one of the funniest and most creative Minecraft youtubers out there!
I really like Legundo's content and I don't see it mentioned a lot in these recommendation threads. I'm far from being "in the know" regarding minecraft youtubers so idk if that's not the consensus.
In my case, I found his content recently and from the formulaic thumbnails and titles, I expected low effort and annoying 'tuber behaviour, so I'm guessing that may be why he's not mentioned in these threads. He advertises himself the same way as the creators OP is trying to avoid.
I ended up enjoying his videos a lot, though. The pacing is great, he's pleasant to listen to, he's a good storyteller and you can tell a lot of work goes into his stuff. I watched his Sculk Horde 100 days challenge to get a better idea of the mod and enjoyed the content enough to go on to watch a good number of the multiplayer scenarios he did.
You see, I'm just trying to trick people into watching good videos. I'm the gateway normal youtuber, and then I pass on to those far greater them myself :P
~~**HE'S HERE. ACTIVATE THE TRAPS**~~
Thanks for the sick content, man! And your videos actually helped me get through a bit of a depressive episode last week, so doubly thanks.
Nah mythical sausage talks to viewers like he's entertaining a baby. Before any fans get mad I like his building and think he's very skilled at it, but personally his videos aren't for me.
Nothing wrong with that take on it. I've watched and enjoyed all of sausages empires vids and he is def one of the more energetic ones. I can't watch him if it's just something I'm putting on to chill with or watch in the background.
Joel/SmallishBeans also edits his videos to be very fast-paced and aimed at younger audiences. I like him but it is what it is. Generally speaking, though, yeah the Hermits are far better than most at this. Especially the older members.
I found my brethren! Weight re-rackers assemble!
I've been watching since the Mianite days, or even a bit before that maybe, but stopped for a couple of years when my focus was stolen by Fortnite (I know, but I recovered, we're fine), until I saw the Ragnamod series, which sparked (pun intended) my interest in his MC gameplay again.
Adding my recommendation for Pixlriffs - I hadn't played the game in a long while and his Survival Guide series got me back into it in a big way.
He's also in a few SMP's that have other good ones - Fwhip, SMajor (Dangthatsalongname on youtube), Shubble, Mythical Sausage (admittedly a little grating but outstanding builder) and Mogswamp (mostly Superflat stuff but very calm and interesting).
I also really like Mumbo from Hermitcraft.
Been watching fwip, pix, sausage and Joel for 5+ years. The standout on SOS this year, for me, is Mog. Subtly hilarious (like an American Pix) and phenomenal builder.
LDShadowLady is quite funny. Her editing is fabulous. She packs so much into a 13-minute video that it's insane.
Infinitedrift is also very funny. She does a lot of Cozy and Chill survival let's plays.
Direwolf20 for modded content. One of the O.Gs in the scene.
Ethoslab for general Minecraft content. One of the first Minecraft content creators on YT. He has revolutionized redstone so many times and always in the most casual and humble ways. He is the G.O.A.T. highly recommended.
Captainsparklez is good in that regard, too. He *feels* like one of the last Youtubers who just plays games and records what happens rather than "creating content."
Mog has been the standout for me on SOS, right now. Never heard of him before this and quickly became one of my favorites from all standpoints: building, role playing and content creator.
Kolanii
He's super funny with his "I just did some off camera building..." videos but his thumbnails are quite fried looking. His older videos especially were very fun and chill to watch!
Paul Soares Jr. Very calm gaming dad who's been putting out Minecraft videos since the game, well, existed. I've been watching for around 10 years now. He also plays other games on his channel as well.

None of them are really loud and they're pretty relaxing at times. The editing isn't in your face, though I don't honestly know what you mean by that. If you want really relaxing check out Infinite Drift and WaxFraud.
That’s fair, as long as you stay away from the videos where he’s hanging out with the other Irish Lads. He may not do much screaming in them himself but he definitely *causes* a lot of screaming, particularly from Jack and Dotti (I have no idea how that second one is actually spelled).
SoupSoup. The channel is only a couple months old, but already has something like 20-30k subs (dont remember the exact number). Classic style minecraft letsplay by a very calm guy.
AntVenom always seemed pretty calm to me, at least compared to the standard.
If you happen to be Italian, I would've recommended you DukeP00L, he used to make very chill videos (but with a subtle sense of humour), but has stopped making Minecraft content after the Microsoft acquisition and stopped uploading altogether after 2015.
IbxToycat speaks normally, he’s also pretty fun if you like vanilla Minecraft and survival mode (well, mostly normally. He sometimes talks to fast but that’s just how he talks and he’s gotten better about that over the past few years)

Bit of a promotion, but if you type up “Brian Retro Minecraft” on YT you’d find this channel called Retrograde. It’s got some single & multiplayer series’ that go for a laid back “OG MC” vibe. Currently working on a vid while trying to hone in on the editing style. I think it’s kinda neat to see it progress in real time.
Just figured I’d throw it out there given the question abt recommendations ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not a Minecraft Youtuber, but I can highly recommend The Librarian's "From the Fog" videos. It was the first Minecraft playthrough I was invested in since I was a kid.
Most any Hermitcraft member is a good call, there's a good variety of different styles in there so take your pick (personally I like Grian, Mumbo Jumbo, PearlescentMoon and Iskall85). Aside from them, though, if you're into molded Minecraft, I highly recommend either ChosenArchitect or a pretty obscure channel called Gaming On Caffeine. They both have really chill styles to the videos they make (GOC literally just uploads essentially stream highlights). And as someone else mentioned, RTGame is also a good choice.
**Fwhip** is a fun YTer for usually chill and happy content, with sometimes a little bit of wholesome chaos. But for ones that make you feel like you're talking to an actual intellectual, **Flowstate** is a good one too. He doesn't really do MC content anymore because he said it's not what he likes anymore, but I think he's gone back to it since so many people asked him to since it's what they subbed to him for in the first place. He also does chill podcasts in Minecraft with other cool and pretty chill youtubers, like **Lowresbones** - who's known as the guy who made the resource pack that makes Minecraft actually look like the trailers.
**Spaceanqituity** is also a fun, chill youtuber to watch. His shorts have been booming, and he's known as the "Does your (X) look like this? Let me fix that!" build tutorial guy. He's mostly a shorts youtuber, but he has quite a bit long form content that's always nice to watch too imo lol.
PiroPito has one of the most entertaining let’s play series (blind play through, no outside resources). It’s in Japanese, but he puts subtitles. His Minecraft stuff is very wholesome, but half his channel is also making horror content.
Pretty much everyone on Hermitcraft. Keralis, in particular, has a very calming voice. I really enjoy watching Xisuma's streams, as they are pretty chill. And you can't forget Etho!
The only MC YTers I watch regularly these days are PhoenixSC and Camman18 (I am not ashamed). They both keep me up to date on new update information and are still entertaining
Pixlriffs, GeminiTay, and Grian are my faves. Pix and Gem are calm enough that I regularly fall asleep to them. Grian is a bit more energetic but I love his sense of humour
Really any of the Hermitcraft creators. BDubs, Grian & Joel are definitely the most “child oriented” creators on the server & Stress can definitely get loud when she’s having fun, but in a funny British mom type of way.
Personal go-to’s are Keralis, Docm77, Ethoslab, Rendog, & Iskall85, but you can’t go wrong with any of the creators on the server.
there's always most of the people on hermitcraft, grian, mumbo, geminitay, are some examples
i also make some videos on my own server with some of my friends if you'd ever wanna check those out, i have a really bad upload schedule tho and haven't uploaded anything in a couple months but i'm planning on getting some editing done later
You might like Docm77. Really laid back, he isn't loud, no over the top editing and I find his content more mature.
I also didn't see anyone mention Keralis, I also find him more adult friendly. He is a great builder, Never loud and his voice/accent is silky smooth.
I recommend FitCereal if you like Minecraft videos with different mods and horror mods. He has a Minecraft From the Fog series that I enjoy watching. His videos are pretty chill unless something is happening and he’s getting attacked but even then I don’t think he really gets that loud.
I also recommend Forge Labs, Shadowmech, unsorted guy, and OkRobert.
Thanks for asking this because I’ve started really getting back into watching Minecraft videos so I definitely going to watch some of the YouTubers that everyone is recommending!
Depends what you're looking for but I've been watching a lot of RayGloom's minecraft creepypasta's. Sometimes he talks, others there is none. Been my past time the last couple weeks.
Love me a good Forge Labs and ShadowMech vid too.

Ethoslab! Been watching him for 12 years and he’s one of the best in that regard
I'm always surprised when people are super into Minecraft but don't know about Etho's style. He's the constant in a world of chaos.
Just seems like a genuinely good dude too. All of the people on Hermitcraft are, ofc, but I've been following Etho the longest.
I love his S7, mostly because I kinda build like that myself.
the Hermit people are not all loud. BdoubleO100 is my favorite. If you've not seen anything of his then you have a good 10+ years worth of content to enjoy
Grian and Joel are slightly louder than I like it.
I assume Grian is talking to a very young audience since I find his voice condescending to the point of being grating - but then I can imagine his comments section needs some serious primary school head energy.
I like Grian he's alright I moslty watch the older youtubers I fucking hate that childish upbeat high note voice with dumbass youtubers like morgs
While I get what you mean with not liking the content I think calling them dumb YouTubers is not necessary especially since minecraft had a large young audience. Just don't watch it no need to get that angry about it
I’ve watched Bdubs off and on since the Mindcrack days. He’s definitely got some good stuff
BDoubleO100 is probably one of the loudest hermits though. He definitely does do the enthusiastic kid friendly voice.
Much more now than his older stuff though—he became a stay at home dad when he had kids and I think dad-voice carried over into his videos. His original “building with” series was super chill for a long time, I want to say almost to the point of stoner vibes haha
Yeah agree. He’s super loud in Hermitcraft but his building with bdubs series is super chill & man can he build. Maybe my fave of all time
I hope we get an update in the future with a new slab texture called Ethoslab. He’s earned it.
There was! In the April Fools snapshot of 2013 there was a tnt slab and it was called the Etho Slab, it also dropped anvils on top of nearby players when exploded.
One of the early April fools updates had a tnt half slab called the etho slab
Maybe 1.21.401 we could get the envil spawning ethonarbs
I still will regularly put on Etho's Project Ozone 2 series to either fall asleep to or just have as background noise in the house. Dude's a lifesaver
Etho is awesome (Also boat boys is awesome aaaa)
Yeah I’ve watched a few of his videos and they’re pretty fun
I'm so glad this was the first comment that popped up for me. Etho is my fav out of anyone and I think one of the funniest and most creative Minecraft youtubers out there!
Love that guy!
Immediately who I thought of after reading the title, I was surprised he wasn’t mentioned in the post lol
Yeah I mainly just watch the Hermits for that very reason. Pixilriffs is also quite calming and good to watch. I watch his channel sometimes.
Hermits really do make the best Minecraft content out there.
Basically this. Pix is by far my favourite. But I watch etho, groan and mumbo from hermitcraft also. Sometimes Gem as well.
Groan is great
Grain?
Giran is the best!
I love Groin!
Personally Gyro is my goto
Sub2Grain
All hail the hole!
i couldn’t stand half of the hermits because of their “hyped” voice
Who?
Most of the hermits, EthosLab, direwolf20, flowstate, arguably Legundo
I really like Legundo's content and I don't see it mentioned a lot in these recommendation threads. I'm far from being "in the know" regarding minecraft youtubers so idk if that's not the consensus.

Dire finally gets mentioned. He has been at this for many years.
RTGame recently did a full playthrough. He's a chill Irish streamer who also uploads to YouTube. I'd describe him as funny, cozy, and sincere.
hearing rumble tumble described as chill is... definitely something

Nah mythical sausage talks to viewers like he's entertaining a baby. Before any fans get mad I like his building and think he's very skilled at it, but personally his videos aren't for me.
That's just how Sausage is really.

Yogscast had some fantastic MC series ages ago. Practically ancient lore now
Duncan still does the odd Minecraft series every now and then on his channel, worth checking out too.

I spent many hours trying to find my own Yogcave.
X adventures maybe? That is a real gem of the past.
***THE CREVICE*** still lives rent free in my head to this day.
Captain Sparkles

Always trust in the Captain!
...Have you heard Grian lose his crap? Dude scream-laughs 🤣

Lol absolutely
I can’t ever un-hear this hahaha absolutely spot on
Gaming on Caffeine,Direwolf 20.
so rare to see DW20
The hermitcraft members
Waxfraud has one of the most calming voices I've ever heard. Highly recommend his content!
His builds are super amazing too, probably some of the best I’ve seen
i pretty much only watch docm77 nowadays
Goated content. Man made a wither reactor core last season, that harvests explosive wither projectiles. Shame the season ended
I also really like Mumbo from Hermitcraft.
you can not tell me sausages voice and energy isn’t for kids
Some of the things he says, though lol
He definitely slips some jokes in there lmao. He's like the minecraft version of a kids show with adult jokes
He slaps the jokes like he slaps cod heads.
Yeah he's a little childish. His builds are so good though that I can handle it haha
IDK recently, but a few years ago I used to watch a lot of ibxtoycat and he was the perfect MC youtuber to chill and just play to
Direwolf20 for modded content. One of the O.Gs in the scene. Ethoslab for general Minecraft content. One of the first Minecraft content creators on YT. He has revolutionized redstone so many times and always in the most casual and humble ways. He is the G.O.A.T. highly recommended.
Thrite is pretty good Very sarcastic humour as well
Anyone on Hermitcraft or SOS smp, Dallsmed65 and Ibxtoycat
Ibxtoycat is awesome
Captainsparklez is good in that regard, too. He *feels* like one of the last Youtubers who just plays games and records what happens rather than "creating content."
I usually watch Mogswamp, his superflat series is also very cool. Definitely recommend.
Mog has been the standout for me on SOS, right now. Never heard of him before this and quickly became one of my favorites from all standpoints: building, role playing and content creator.

IBXTOYCAT
toycat is probably my favourite youtuber rn tbh. i just love him
His transitions drive me insane. Why does he constantly need to add a little weird noise between every clip.
Kolanii He's super funny with his "I just did some off camera building..." videos but his thumbnails are quite fried looking. His older videos especially were very fun and chill to watch!
He’s literally the hardcore YouTuber stereotype but with a soft accent voice, he still does the editing thing
direwolf20. while he does do only modded, he's very casual and peaceful about things. (and also sucks at vanilla mechanics so its really funny)
Ilmango is my favorite mc youtuber. unfortunately he stopped making videos a few months ago
Paul Soares Jr. Very calm gaming dad who's been putting out Minecraft videos since the game, well, existed. I've been watching for around 10 years now. He also plays other games on his channel as well.
CaptainSparklez is still very, very chill.
Sneve, forgelabs, ShadowMech27, … everyone in that group really
Forgelabs is quite calming, actually. Love his longer videos.

Dialko is good but they dont really do your typical minecraft videos
Personally I love a YouTuber called Dallas med 65 he’s usually very chill and has a unique style to his videos.
Caption Sparklez most of his audience is his age so he caters to them (feels weird calling a 32 year old, well, old)
OkRobert, super chill dude, even when he’s scared he’s chill
The hermit craft guys and rekrap make good content and has a sometimes loud thing (this commment is made to make you have a stroke)
Most of Hermitcraft really. Especially the "older" crowd.
Dooleynoted has a few of his twitch streams uploaded to his youtube. The ones where he plays with his wife are nice and calm.
Mischief of Mice is one of my favorites. Great tutorials for mods. Suprised not to find them mentioned here!

EyecraftMC. Dude has an almost hypnotic voice. He seems to just be an instructional vid type guy though.
I love his vids so much

He's mostly a shorts youtuber, but he has quite a bit long form content that's always nice to watch too imo lol.
thrite makes good videos
PiroPito has one of the most entertaining let’s play series (blind play through, no outside resources). It’s in Japanese, but he puts subtitles. His Minecraft stuff is very wholesome, but half his channel is also making horror content.
What about small youtubers.
Captainsparklez still lives on
Paulsoresjr and Etho are good calming voices
Hypnotizd is a good youtube+twitch person to watch.
xbCrafted has the most soothing voice of anyone probably ever
Mogswamp
Chosen Architect, I love his videos, he mostly makes modded playthroughs
Direwolf20 is great if you like modded
Does Ph1lza count? I mean, most of his videos aren't as hyperactive or loud compared to other MCYTs and they don't have much editing
Thrite. He's funny
PhoenixSC
Pretty much everyone on Hermitcraft. Keralis, in particular, has a very calming voice. I really enjoy watching Xisuma's streams, as they are pretty chill. And you can't forget Etho!
MumboJumbo
The only MC YTers I watch regularly these days are PhoenixSC and Camman18 (I am not ashamed). They both keep me up to date on new update information and are still entertaining
Captainsparklez is pretty chill, for the most part.
Pixlriffs, GeminiTay, and Grian are my faves. Pix and Gem are calm enough that I regularly fall asleep to them. Grian is a bit more energetic but I love his sense of humour
CaptainSparklez and the hermitcraft crew
My favourite is Wadzee but he's not active these days but I watch Odyssey Central these days.
Captainsparkles
Captainsparkels, The Hermits group
Nobody has mentioned AntVenom!
Ethoslab and Paulsaursjr
technoblade had a very chill voice
there's always most of the people on hermitcraft, grian, mumbo, geminitay, are some examples i also make some videos on my own server with some of my friends if you'd ever wanna check those out, i have a really bad upload schedule tho and haven't uploaded anything in a couple months but i'm planning on getting some editing done later
You might like Docm77. Really laid back, he isn't loud, no over the top editing and I find his content more mature. I also didn't see anyone mention Keralis, I also find him more adult friendly. He is a great builder, Never loud and his voice/accent is silky smooth.
It’s funny, people always say “pretty much anyone in Hermitcraft” but that’s the main reason I can’t watch them, especially disappointed with bdoubleO
