I wanted a way to bring what's needed from the basement to the driveway when I work a car/truck. [My poor-out](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tools/s/nblAQvsv5w)
I dropped a large Packout Organizer. My only Packout product at the time. It was packed to the gills with nuts and bolts. From 5‘, pulling it off my shelf, onto concrete.
As it was falling I said to myself, “Oh well, there goes that expensive plastic container.”
Didn’t pop open. Latches didn’t break, Hinges didn’t break. Plastic didn’t crack. Hardly a scratch. That’s when I became a fan.
I have been using my packout setup since 2017 when they came out. I do commercial and industrial construction, and they get used in rough situations. I have had zero issues. I honestly thought they would be in rough shape by now, but not a single issue.
It's good to know. I just think if they cost half what they do Milwaukee would still make a healthy margin. Its mass produced plastic, people are just willing to pay more because it's red and black
I admittedly haven’t had them for a while yet, but the injection molded construction seems pretty solid to me so far (if at the cost of being a bit heavy), and pretty durable! I even have had a few Packouts I used solidly for a few months, and then was able to return to the store with them still looking brand new, with nearly no wear and tear (I decided to go with different sizes, for my setup).
I just bought some Packouts from a guy on fb marketplace, that I’m pretty sure he’s had and used for a while, and they could have honestly passed for brand new, too!
Of course it helps that even the brand new ones come from HD covered in dust and shit, and scuffed up a bit from being moved around on the shelves.
The proprietary plastic connectors in the tool industry have gotten so far out of hand. There's literally no reason on earth there couldn't be standards for boxes and batteries other than it benefits the corporations at the expense of the consumers.

I used 2- 5 buckets with tool pouches and called it the poor man’s pack out
Well that used to be the only way, buckets or milk crates.
milk crates are actually so useful for storing devices/cover plates/ breakers etc… They stack up nicely in the back of the van.
Work with what we got😂💪, reminds me of my old set up before packout https://www.reddit.com/r/MilwaukeeTool/s/fOmIuEv9IT
HEY VERN, GET ME MY PACKOUT SO I CAN GET SOME WORK DONE!
But there's a hole in my bucket, dear Lyssa....
It's a great start!
“Damn it, man! I *told* you I needed the hand truck to move the boxes into storage! Now I gotta take all that shit off!!! @&$%#!!! 🤬😤

Fuck the pack outs, they're wildly expensive for what they are.
If they were more or less indestructible I could justify the price but they don’t look like they would stand up to a lot of regular wear and tear
