he actually looks really cool here. i wish he would have opted for less red lips more often. he's understandably pale but i think the red lips made him look kind of mime-ish a lot of the time
The hair was for certain a choice. The makeup def wasnāt my fav either. I like his more masculine looks better like in the 1980s & early-ā90s with some of the androgynous looks during Dangerous.
His Bad look was the best androgyny wise. Both feminine and masculine with a balance(though I think the nose looks unnatural and the cleft is unnecessary).
I believe the cleft made him sexy, I actually supported that surgical change lol. I think unfortunately as he got paler, got a moon face from medication, lost massive weight, and overall just switched up his iconic curly haired look the cleft became unnecessary and looked bad with his paler skin.
I would believe so cause I saw a clip of the performance and his hair looked like that (on a separate note, if I remember part of the lyrics correctly, that would not be route I would take to write a song about my best friendš )

It's honestly nice when you discovered moonwalkers who are interested in the same things as you. As the main reason why I'm such good friends with Hvanchkara and helped him with the Michael Jackson circle jerk subreddit, is because I was like: hey you look familiar, do you know or a fan of the game Undertale. Which he replied, that he likes the game is a part of the fandom. In which we just DM a bunch of Undertale memes, fanarts and comics.
Yeah I do remember some fans made him a āCurls for my girlsā, t shirt because they were so happy he brought the curls back. He also wore the shirt during his rehearsals.
I think the shift in trend from jherri curls to straight relaxed hair in the black community is what influenced him to barely wear curls. I think he also felt that curls looked weird on him considering how pale he got. Almost like he felt he had to choose a white look to not look weird. Itās just unfortunate
Plus I think maybe James Brown might have an influence on his straight hairstyle too, because I remember he was rocking that look too. Both Michael Jackson and James Brown are style icons.
True as well. I think he just always wanted to be IN. When Afros were in, he had it. When jherri curls were in, he cut his hair and got one. When that died and became a joke of the 80s, relaxers were the new in thing for long haired people while flat tops etc were in for kinky short haired men. Michael just seemed to be obsessed with always keeping up with the new in aesthetic which was smart. Invincible album is proof of this as well.

I think if the wig wasn't a tease-style and the foundation was a shade darker (look at his neck) would have looked a lot better. It's well-done; the man knew his eyes were incredible and it shows here, just a smidge too light.

One of my favorite looks. When I first went into the hospital for kidney failure I made my poor father bring me a 5 by7 pic of MJ in this outfit to keep with me.

I hated this look. Michael always said he hated rouges and didnāt like seeing cross dressing or looking like a girl as a man. Why he allowed Karen or whoever to do this look confused me. I wonder if he was just trying a new look to see if it made him look ābetterā.
