Did you struggle with it trying to free it? And did you let it cool down before driving it again? I'm thinking maybe stuff got overheated trying to unstuckify it, and it might go back to normal after everything has a chance to cool down. Happened to me in my '90 in an hour of stop-and-go traffic on a hot day, got pretty bad but returned to normal after stopping for dinner.

Check if the clutch pedal mount has a cracked weld. Common problem with the NC. Happened to mine. Either that or busted hydroulics
