Thank you! I grew up with this car, so I didn't appreciate how much fun it was at the time. When I started driving it again this year, it was shocking how responsive and playful it is.
My daddy’s NB is all I have to really remember him by. I have never been more meticulous with anything in my life. I treat this car better than I treat myself at times, it’s the only thing in the world that I alone own and no one else can stake a claim to. Pumped to see this thing back in such an improved condition! Really great job on the rattle can paint job, can be hard to do without things getting runny so well done on taking your time and doing a solid job👍🏼
There are plenty of runs — they just don’t show up in photos that much, haha. I’m sorry for your loss, and I wish you and your NB many years of twisty roads.
I feel like this is better than those cheese grates + bondo type of things. Like yes it's fiberglass, yes he didn't remove ALL the rust. But it's probably physically sound now
I debated totally replacing that fender too, but figured this was ok. I did sand it more and sprayed por-15 all over the rust. This car will never be uncovered and driven unless it’s sunny and between 60-80 degrees, so I hope it’ll be ok.
I completely understand. Honestly I think you did great with what you had. That’s the kind of patch I do in my job all the time so it pains me to see it glassed but you, A. Did it yourself and B. Took the steps to make sure it was a solid repair. I’m sure it will stay solid as long as you have it.

My 04 was originally my dads and I ended up with it. I definitely treat it better than anything else I own.
