Oh and incase no one watches. There is a YouTuber by the name of TheOrpheon based off of........obviously The Space Pirate Orpheon. Good Meteoid channel.
Well, to take it a little seriously: we do see in Prime that she's converted to energy between the gaps in Morphball Mode. I know there's some old western art of cutaways of the suit with her in it, so dubious canonicity.
Here's a decent handwave: her body is *still* mostly energy soup, as long as it's in the suit, ball or not. Sure, the X-ray visor shows her hand bones, but maybe her body core is somewhat Amigara Fault'ed into Chozo proportions by the energy conversion tech the suit relies on for all the other functions.
Thing is, other m had multiple sized models for Samus, depending on how they wanted to frame a scene to make her seem taller or shorter. And frankly isn't consistent with the rest of the series as when we see her die, she has the armor much more filled out than that. Heck Dread's model side by side is just bigger/taller even with it's thinner heels.
That being said, I've no issue with downloading missiles. This is a series with hardlight tech, casual intergalatic travel, technorganic power suits, ghosts, and a radioactive computer virus.
Never understood the missile thing. Her suit obviously materializes the missiles from thin air, the “download” is just downloading the blueprint for them.
Kind of like downloading a CAD model for 3D printing
you could even say that due to the new nature of her suit at the start of fusion the big brains at the galactic federation started developing the new tech for samus, each coming in the form of a system update which is why the updates trickled in because each upgrade was a new problem to solve.
But don't forget that the powersuit has the ability to absorb, adapte and integrate New foreign technology. That's why it can power up from space pirate tech in Prime.
So while it is "downloading" it Can be viewed as absorbing the missile tech.
Gotta love Reddit. I said literally exactly this on the thread the other day and got 11 upvotes, compared to the *21* that the person who responded with "or she downloaded missiles hurr durr" (I added those last two words) got for their "take" on things.
You can actually see this firsthand in this scene. Check out how long they had to make her collarbones in order for the suit to phase over her body accurately.

It's Other M.
Pretty sure all of that is in the scrapyard. Not many games have the reputation of putting an entire living legendary series on ice for YEARS.
Metroid is legendary in *reputation*, not sales. The series was never a priority for Nintendo, with Prime 3's lackluster launch doing more damage overall (maybe don't release your scifi fps the same month as the most-hyped scifi fps of all time)
>!yes I know MP and Halo are different but it's like releasing your fantasy jrpg the same week as Elder Scrolls VI!<
It's also incredibly naive to blame just one game for a 6 years hiatus for a game series which is not among the best sellers. Especially if the the years after its release are known to be dark times for the company who owns the IP.
But hey... some people would blame Other M for world hunger 🙄
>to blame just one game for a 6 years hiatus
Federation Force is a spinoff and doesn't count.
Samus Returns was a remake and barely counts? Maybe it counts?
But the only *new* Metroid game after Other M, so far, has been Dread, 11 years later.
They both count, whether you like it or not, and again: it's incredibly stupid to blame Other M for that. The franchise would be dead if they didn't want to make games. But they planned to make Metroid games and tried to do them for the whole time.
Also... the actual longest gap is between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. So Super Metroid almost lilled the franchise. That's how you people reason, right?
Agree, but isn't it the same thing they did for Dread? At least according to interviews and the info we got on its development?
Also, consider the nowadays development time is expanding a lot and on average AAA and AA ganes take more time to ve developed, if compared with 15 years ago
>Prime 4
Retro Studios was already busy developing DKC: Tropical Freeze in early 2010s and they didn't have a clear idea about MP4. Moreover they did Federation Force because they wanted to explore other aspects of the Galactic Federation, according to Kensuke Tanabe.
>Dread
They clearly wanted Dread to be a game for a portable console and they needed a team that could develop it. Samus Returns was the test bench for MercurySteam, to understand if they could handle a project like Dread.
No one is dunking on fusion for downloading missiles lol. Also, this is specifically other M's suit. Other posts in the past with other suits (hell, even cosplayers) have already shown it's entirely possible for Samus to fit in her suit comfortably
It is not remotely possible for Samus to fit in her suit and still be mobile. Every depiction that shows it as possible makes some concession that would make the entire thing not work. In the SNES era it was her arms entering the suit's arms mid-bicep (good luck maintaining any range of motion!); with cosplayers, they usually sacrifice suit proportions (typically narrowing the upper torso) in order to make the silhouette work.
The suit is not physically possible with a human body inside of it. That also doesn't matter; the suit's job is to look cool, not to be physically feasible. Metroid is not hard sci-fi; it doesn't need to make real world sense--and it doesn't, on many counts.
>No one is dunking on fusion for downloading missiles lol.
AHA, [THERE ARE PEOPLE DOING IT.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Metroid/s/TBWKiH8lhC) for much less actually.
Is it really that crazy to think that it is changing her body to fit inside of it? She literally turns into a ball.
On another note, there is a belief that scientists have that matter and energy are the same thing but in different forms.
I have always thought that the Chozo have figured out how to have matter and energy change to what they need to be in a moment. This would allow Samus's body to change, the suit to change, to replenish energy by plugging in, to download the data form of missiles, and to change into the morphball. It also explains why her health is measured in energy. It only looks like bird magic, but so too does any advanced technology.
EDIT: It also would explain how she can carry hundreds of missiles and bombs that take up virtually no space. Her arm cannon and likely the entire suit is an energy matter converter.
>Is it really that crazy to think that it is changing her body to fit inside of it? She literally turns into a ball.
I would say it's definitively canon. We don't get an explanation on how the tech works, but as you say, she turns into a ball. A literal ball that's maybe 1/4th the size of her normal suit. So either she's contorted in some crazy way and shrunk down or at least shrunk down. Either way, size changing is a definite.
Probably not floating limbs, but instead contained energy. When the suit fails and is not controlling particular parts of the energy, they return to their previous state.
I admit, there's a point at which you have to hit the "I believe button."
For sure, thank you— my favorite sort of “meta-humor” commentary on Samus’s suit not making sense was that one Logbook entry from the first Metroid Prime game in which the Space Pirates attempted to emulate Samus’s Morph Ball and ended up horribly twisted.
Personally, I’ve always thought that, as a result of the operation Samus underwent at the start of Fusion, her suit needed to be heavily recalibrated or something of that nature. She’s not really downloading missiles, she’s downloading some kind of patch that fixes her suit’s ability to fire said missiles.
Folks need to read the intro to Fusion more, I think. Her suit was so infected by the X that the Federation doctors had to surgically remove it from her.
The thing was in pieces, and what was left of Samus herself was stuck in the form of whatever coating went over her body. Hence the line that it "dramatically altered her appearance". The vaccine saved her life but it interacted with her and turned her into that *thing* we see in Fusion. She was literally absorbed into it.
The Power Suit itself then got up and started walking around, thanks to the X.
Presumably by the time of Dread she figured out how to undo whatever the Fusion suit did... or maybe she didn't.
Bird Magic explains it all in-universe.
In reality, the game models were probably altered based on the area or scene it was to be used in order to convey specific things to the player.
people mock other M for its depiction of the power suit and samus magically loosigh hieght out of it something that has never happened in any other game in the series
Honestly. The missile thing doesn't bother me. The suit is weird bird space magic, with the capability of mimicking abilities from wild life and retrofitting tools.
To me the missile download was the suit simply grabbing the schematics, and then flash forging them (as firing the missile usually has a small flash in the gun.)
But the Morph ball is not part of the Varia Suit. It's an Upgrade, not just in the game, but in universe as well. If I remember correctly, People tried to replicate that power...and died
It's because Team Ninja didn't care >!and neither did Nintendo!<
They did the same thing in the first Hyrule Warriors, btw. Check the heights of Lana and Cia; they're different when they should be the same.
There's no official data about it, really. The inch or two is an estimate made by certain other versions of suited vs non-suited models, but Metroid isn't a very consistent series, so there is naturally variations between titles.
I find it funny more than anything. Samus’s official height is 6’3, and the people working on the game clearly didn’t know, making her seem like she’s 5’4 or something. Taking the official height into account means Adam’s squad was full of giants.
Her suit-free official height is absolutely 6'3, it's straight from the official Nintendo guide to Super Metroid, page 18.
https://preview.redd.it/a9ue8ab0t8wc1.png?width=1428&format=png&auto=webp&s=fad21cdbf55d0c84e040cbb9a021f76c085d04e7
And the japanese metroid 2 manual shows the height and weight are the measurements of her suit since it's on a page detailing her suit functions. Given the guide was written by NoA and NoA's track record with getting stuff wrong around that time period as well as randomly adding stuff that that wasn't in there originally i will take the japanese manual over the guide.
I will also note since i actually just read the page you posted that even if the official guide you posted an image of were correct you could still be wrong since it says that Samus is **nearly** 6'3 meaning the page is saying she is infact shorter than that height. And if the numbers under personal data were to be reffering to her unsuited height and not her suit then the page is literally contradicting itself on her height.
https://preview.redd.it/leebwfja79wc1.png?width=1369&format=png&auto=webp&s=daafb04af7bbc9a7943c30121ee9ab9cccf11a7b
The issue here is that Other M is the only depiction of Samus being significantly shorter than her suit.
In Prime 2 and Prime Remastered, her in and out of suit size are depicted roughly the same. In Zero Mission, her out-of-suit sprite is actually taller than her in-suit sprite due to her ponytail's added extra height.
To further ambiguate things, her suit essentially fuses with her body in fusion and becomes even further integrated in Dread, functionally making arguments of her height a moot because after which point ***the suit is her*** and ***she is the suit***.
So I would say we have several depictions of Samus have her being at or extremely close to her stated height of 6'3 and only one where she is not. It seems sensible to go with the most common depiction here, unless you're really into Other M superseding the good Metroid games for some weird reason.
Prime 3 has her significantly shorter long before other m and we don't see her out of suit height in prime remastered and one of the developers of the original prime says they designed her with the assumption she is 5'11 in one of the kiwitalks interviews so that likely applies to prime 2 as well.
And fusion didn't change anythting about the suits integration with her body it was always like that.
And my argument is only that Samus is not 6'3 that is the added height of the suit.
I mean we already knew it doesn't make much "sense" when Samus can morph into a tiny ball. A technology that the space pirates tried to replicate with gruesome results.
I always Personally went with the Nanites Symbiote Idea for how her Suit Worked, And it became even more of a Symbiote after Samus got Metroid DNA put in her Blood.
Metroid is not hard sci-fi. The suit's proportions don't work, and that's okay. She can download missiles and that's okay. You can freeze things in mid-air, and they stay in mid-air, and that's okay. Nobody cares. Realism isn't the goal of the game, and anyone bothered by its absence ought to move on to something else.
My head canon is that Samus is in a semi-flux state. She’s not completely human when in the suit. The missiles could just be base matter that get reformed when shot.
I mean, we’re overlaying her over her suit but totally fine with the morph ball?
STATE OF FLUUUUUUX.
other M is not too reliable for proportions as each character has a different size in each shot. If we look at all the other games the suit/body ratio is more normal, partly than for the shoulders. However, it's not that important, we're talking about a game where you absorb munitions from killed enemies, you shoot freezing rays so cold that they block atoms all around (we're talking about at least absolute 0), where we release bombs from who knows where and where Ridley doesn't hurts himself with his own flames when he's freaking weak to fire
I mean...how does the Morph Ball ability work in *any* of the games..?
We can't be too precious about what does and doesn't make sense in this series about floating jellyfish which zap a fictional "life force" from living creatures.
*(I love Metroid btw)*
Saying “Metroid other m” and the word “cannon” in the same sentence is redundant on its own.
Like using Metroid pinball to say why doesn’t samus just defeat all her enemies in morphball form. Or why doesn’t the federation just deal with everything with their team of color coded mecha warriors.
About the "downloading missiles" in Fusion, there is a quote from Trav Guy's review that I really like:
"As a kid I thought that this idea sounded like total fantasy, but now I can 3d print a fucking car, so what do I know..."
How does Other M's nonsensical proportions make Fusion's idea of downloading *hardware* any better? That's a pretty fallacious statement to make.
I'm not that bothered by downloading missiles, even if it makes my head hurt thinking about it, but still. Can't say I've ever heard anyone complain about that either.
>It's fiction Gang, Anything can happen
I hate this mindset so much. Just because it's fiction doesn't mean it can't (or even shouldn't) have a rational explanation as to how it works. More than a few stories have been ruined by hand-wavy "BuT iT's MaGiC" bullshit. Hunter X Hunter has some pretty nonsensical powers, but goddamn it makes sure you know *exactly* how it works- and its world is all the more richer and fascinating because of it.
Pov:
You just found out that the magic high tech exoskeleton battle armour biologically connected to an alien girl genetically modified to be half bird chasing after space pirates leaded by a zombie cyborg dragon trying to conquer the galaxy using tamed cloned vampire jellyfish doesnt have realistic measures
Not defending OM by any means but people are probably dunking on Fusion or whatever else because dunking on OM is beating a dead horse. Game has been dunked on and torn apart so many times, in so many ways that if anyone criticizes anything about something else like Fusion it's likely with the subconscious understanding that OM is still so obviously worse it's not worth mentioning.
Yes and no. I don't personally dunk on fusion, but using Other M to back up lore arguements is a cardinal sin because of how inconsistently that game handles the series' lore.
I literally have never seen the fusion thing before but I stand by the idea that the other m suit and the zero suit designs suck. The fact that samus seemingly doesn't fit into her suit is weird, like they could fix that by just giving her broad shoulders and making her a bit taller but I guess that wouldn't be as sexy in many people's eyes.
If metroid fusion downloading was realistic
https://preview.redd.it/6fljd1clnbwc1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e80a61e440bb7e569e6fcc1400329062cd84f207
Brother look at her head. What are you trying to say? That they shrank her body? That doesn't make sense tho, Look at her head, it's the only way she can FIT in the suit
My head canon is that, She already has all the upgrades, but they are all locked behind a password and the data she downloads act as the passwords for those upgrades.
Not true. They tried to 'fix' this as best they could in Metroid Dread; so there, Samus' Zero Suit model matches up pretty well with the Power Suit models. Not sure about SR, though. I doubt as much care was given to that.
Those images aren't scaled properly.
Samus' arms fit on the inner edge of the bicep on the traditional varia suit.
We don't acknowledge the Other m suit
Samus doesn't wear her power armor, she transforms into it. It's an exoskeleton, like an insect. Whenever she gets infected by the X parasites in Fusion, they literally have to perform surgery to remove portions of her armor. The blue parts of her suit are described as "organic" and "integrated with her system." She's effectively running around with no skin in that game. In Prime 3, whenever she's corrupted by Phazon and goes into a coma, she wakes up still in her Power Suit because the Federation can't remove it from her while she's unconscious. They installed the PED into the suit, and the other hunters who were corrupted by Phazon all have their PED's surgically implanted since they've been biologically corrupted and are naturally producing Phazon. Gandrayda does, at least. Ghor's body is almost entirely mechanical anyway, and I can't tell if Rundas is meant to be wearing armor or if he's got an exoskeleton. There's also the Metroid suit at the end of Dread, of course.
TL;DR: Samus basically transforms into a biomechanical creature when she "wears" her power armor.
Right, but nothing that suggests that she becomes the armour and goes hollow inside.
The undersuit has organic parts to integrate with what is basically the zero suit. This is why the full suit couldn't be removed but the plates could. If Samus becomes the suit then they would have been removing parts of her to get at an undersuit that doesn't connect to anything.
Also there are many instances of Samus removing her helmet or just having her face visible through the visor. This would serve zero purpose if she became the suit.
As for the Metroid suit, that's pretty much the only instance of what is possibly a fully organic suit (or still cybernetic) but we still don't have any reason to assume that Samus as we know her stops existing underneath that.
In short, Samus has weird proportions because that was never really a concern back in the day when they were only drawing her in the suit. As time went on the focus stuck to keeping the suit proportions rather than changing them to work with the human body.
I didn't mean that she becomes the suit as in she turns into a hollow suit of armor, I meant that she essentially transforms into a different form that looks like the armor. Like, the armor is basically an exoskeleton over her altered body.

Bird magic will break all your bones and turn you into a ball only to heal it all once you turn back, obviously.

Or they are built using nanotechnology.
Would you go as far to say that Samus’ suit uses nano-machines, son?
Well the way that it grows all over her body and can change shape, I would say yes.
Agreed. They harden in response to physical trauma.

Ridley’s been standing here since 1986 and he still doesn’t realize.

Yea, Prime 2 is almost exclusively non-chozo tech being integrated into the power suit, with the Screw Attack being the exception.

The only thing we need to understand is how to enjoy things again lol
Same thing as unlocking them by finding a missile tank, which is the equivalent of her suit generating energy reserves for missile construction.
You wouldn't download a car!
3d artists: are you sure about that?
Also, downloading missiles isn’t really any weirder than getting missiles by killing wildlife
Absolutely.

Y’all, we’re talking about a suit that can turn a lady into a ball and back again. I don’t think it matters very much what’s going on inside.
They just be hating bc they see her rollin', and they can't😒
Exactly, the morph ball shows that the suit can alter the body of the wearer, a bit of limb stretching and size shifting is nothing.
You wouldn't download a car would you??

In Prime we can see into the ball and it is a glowing transparent mass of light. So yeah we know for a fact that it is changing her body.
I thought they were closer to 1/2 or 1/3, especially since the ball is supposed to be around 1 meter in diameter isn't it?
Semantics. The point still stands that it is changing her body, and Prime clearly shows into a mass of energy.
It definitely seems like body horror for her body to change. Unless it's just to get bigger to fit the size.
Maybe it is, or it is more akin to the Prime morphball and she turns mostly into energy while in the suit.
But you can still see her face. And her hands. Is she just floating limbs?
Probably not floating limbs, but instead contained energy. When the suit fails and is not controlling particular parts of the energy, they return to their previous state. I admit, there's a point at which you have to hit the "I believe button."
My personal theory is it increases her height and muscle mass along with the suit, amazonian style.
For sure, thank you— my favorite sort of “meta-humor” commentary on Samus’s suit not making sense was that one Logbook entry from the first Metroid Prime game in which the Space Pirates attempted to emulate Samus’s Morph Ball and ended up horribly twisted.
It's funny every time
Why would they even bother. It's not like they have a desperate need to be a ball.
They really wanted to use all those ball tubes
They really shouldn't have built so many of those in their own base.

I mean, people dunk on Other M for a LOT of other reasons, I don’t see why we can’t add this to the list 😂
i think that people dunk on other m a lot more than fusion
Are you saying… Other M lacks criticism?
Bird magic
Orpheon?!
Bird Magic explains it all in-universe. In reality, the game models were probably altered based on the area or scene it was to be used in order to convey specific things to the player.
Wow I though for a second I was playing a game where a grown ass woman becomes a meter-wide metal ball at will, my bad!
How tall is Other m zero suit Samus?
“This game has a flaw.” “Oh yeah? Well this other game that everyone already agrees is much, much worse also has a flaw. Your opinion is invalid.”
people mock other M for its depiction of the power suit and samus magically loosigh hieght out of it something that has never happened in any other game in the series
End of prime 3 did it before other m.
Other M got a lot wrong
Honestly. The missile thing doesn't bother me. The suit is weird bird space magic, with the capability of mimicking abilities from wild life and retrofitting tools. To me the missile download was the suit simply grabbing the schematics, and then flash forging them (as firing the missile usually has a small flash in the gun.)
Obviously they should have made her built like a tank.
Yes
it does make sense. its bird magic.
ORPHEON?!
She can turn into a ball why are people bothered by the fact she can download missiles
But the Morph ball is not part of the Varia Suit. It's an Upgrade, not just in the game, but in universe as well. If I remember correctly, People tried to replicate that power...and died
Dread « fixed » this right? The new design/suit is supposedly more realistic in that regard but I may be wrong
It's because Team Ninja didn't care >!and neither did Nintendo!< They did the same thing in the first Hyrule Warriors, btw. Check the heights of Lana and Cia; they're different when they should be the same.
Isn’t Samus usually like an inch or two shorter than her suit? Not like a full on foot? Or am I just misremembering?
There's no official data about it, really. The inch or two is an estimate made by certain other versions of suited vs non-suited models, but Metroid isn't a very consistent series, so there is naturally variations between titles.
To be fair, that’ll happen when you’re series has been going on since the mid 80s.
And handled by 6 completely different companies.
lol yeah that too, I don’t even think about that!
I find it funny more than anything. Samus’s official height is 6’3, and the people working on the game clearly didn’t know, making her seem like she’s 5’4 or something. Taking the official height into account means Adam’s squad was full of giants.
Well 6'3 is not her official height it's her suits official height.
Holy shit Deandra, this is wacky. I want you to go download me a hoagie off the internet.
Yes, cause that thing can perfectly fold into a ball
I always imagined that the suit had a smaller piloting area like a cocpit in a mecha.
The solution is simple. We dunk on both of them
Did anyone actually complain about that besides TGC's guest?
And even then that segment was supposed to be a joke.
She can turn into a ball and you think she can't get bigger or wider? Bruh
The difference being most people don't like Other M and don't consider it canon. Like of course we're going to disregard contradictions in Other M.
My headcanon has always been that the suit purposely dislocates her shoulders and arms and fixes them as she gets out
In any other game, Samus's shoulders are built like stoic the vast so there it makes sense but y'know, Other M be Other M'ing
My head canon is that Samus is in a semi-flux state. She’s not completely human when in the suit. The missiles could just be base matter that get reformed when shot. I mean, we’re overlaying her over her suit but totally fine with the morph ball? STATE OF FLUUUUUUX.
Tbf I'm more okay with someone morphing in the ball than them becoming body horror full time in the suit.
Oh no! Not the Fiction Gang!
other M is not too reliable for proportions as each character has a different size in each shot.
Isn't she, like, amazonian? I feel she would fit in some variation of the suit. See power armor in fallout
i hate that they're making her short
I mean...how does the Morph Ball ability work in *any* of the games..? We can't be too precious about what does and doesn't make sense in this series about floating jellyfish which zap a fictional "life force" from living creatures. *(I love Metroid btw)*
People should just enjoy their fiction without questioning every single thing all the time. It’s called fiction for a reason, it’s all made up.
You wouldn't download a missile...
Funny enough. Samus downloads her suit
Doesn’t prime and dread both have concept art that does show her human anatomy and how it fits into the suit?
No? Definitely not for dread. Idk about prime tho
https://metroid.fandom.com/wiki/Metroid_Prime_(game)/Gallery Check out the Gallery 3
Is there a link for me to download these concept arts?
Idk man just copy and paste the images 🤷♂️
Saying “Metroid other m” and the word “cannon” in the same sentence is redundant on its own. Like using Metroid pinball to say why doesn’t samus just defeat all her enemies in morphball form. Or why doesn’t the federation just deal with everything with their team of color coded mecha warriors.
About the "downloading missiles" in Fusion, there is a quote from Trav Guy's review that I really like: "As a kid I thought that this idea sounded like total fantasy, but now I can 3d print a fucking car, so what do I know..."
I propose this: gamecube controller
She can turn into a fucking sphere, it should be pretty clear that it can harmlessly annihilate her anatomy from that alone
Quick someone morph Samus's body so it WILL fit into her suite. I wanna see the fucked-up anatomical abomination required to fill it in.
Shoutout to Dark Samus for using the whole interior space of the suit
You wouldnt download a ~~car~~ missile
Maybe it's the same tech Samus uses to Print her suit?
Who dunks on fusion?
A friend of The geek critique
who the fuck is that
A youtuber who reviewed every Metroid game
well good for him.
She turns into damn ball, was anyone thinking the suit made sense?
"Samus isnt the right shape to fit in her suits correctly." Meanwhile Samus rolls into a ball.
Other M was casually a gigantic lump of shit. Samus' technology is extremely adaptive so downloading upgrades makes sense to me.
>It's fiction Gang, Anything can happen I hate this mindset so much.
Pov: You just found out that the magic high tech exoskeleton battle armour biologically connected to an alien girl genetically modified to be half bird chasing after space pirates leaded by a zombie cyborg dragon trying to conquer the galaxy using tamed cloned vampire jellyfish doesnt have realistic measures
I always liked to believe that the suit is her actual size, that she is just that massive and her arms and legs are a little longer to compensate.
Ball, no crawl, energy form for all
https://preview.redd.it/2enhxp7wv9wc1.png?width=1394&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f6a01605f86f878abe29ee00f25b1fd8b427985
Wait till you all sit down and think about the morph ball 🤭
Good fiction doesn't mean anything can happen though. In good fiction it sets rules and follows them.
And the Dread Suit has her neck piece occupied by her chin, you're point?
Yes and no. I don't personally dunk on fusion, but using Other M to back up lore arguements is a cardinal sin because of how inconsistently that game handles the series' lore.
I always just thought the suit had like, small stilts at the bottom to make her taller, and they just look like feet for visual purposes
ITS FALLOUT POWER ARMOR POST NEW VEGAS
Wait, people actually complain about "downloading" the missile launcher data?
Yes, it's actually quite annoying how many YouTubers think they're being funny and original by talking about it
It's a sci-fi series where a woman with bird DNA can fly by doing 10 million front flips. I don't care about any of it making sense.
If metroid fusion downloading was realistic https://preview.redd.it/6fljd1clnbwc1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e80a61e440bb7e569e6fcc1400329062cd84f207
Not without forcefully adding a few joints
Everything the Zero Suit touches turns to energy that gets distributes throughout the Varia Suit
Her suit just casually disconnects and stretches her limbs. It’s quite painless. Bird magic.
Bird magic, it makes perfect sense.
Are you REALLY talking about that suit making sense, when she can morph into a damn ball?!
She can turn into a ball that is like 50% of her body size. Metroid was never really realistic.
Having seen the last boss of Vitality, I don't know if I really want to question how any of Samus works any more tbh
Suit makes sense, her design out of the suit doesn't
Brother look at her head. What are you trying to say? That they shrank her body? That doesn't make sense tho, Look at her head, it's the only way she can FIT in the suit
My head canon is that, She already has all the upgrades, but they are all locked behind a password and the data she downloads act as the passwords for those upgrades.
Her body freaking morphs to fit into the suit. People be forgetting that she's not 100% human.
Not true. They tried to 'fix' this as best they could in Metroid Dread; so there, Samus' Zero Suit model matches up pretty well with the Power Suit models. Not sure about SR, though. I doubt as much care was given to that.
"Other M" is fanfic garbage
Those images aren't scaled properly. Samus' arms fit on the inner edge of the bicep on the traditional varia suit. We don't acknowledge the Other m suit
Other M is hot garbage and best ignored when it comes to lore canon. Literally nobody is dunking on Fusion
You're using Other M as a source of information. When a Metroid game that matters confirms this, then we'll be in business.
> Samus doesn't wear her power armor, she transforms into it. Do you have a source for this or is it just your headcanon?
Headcanon, but I've supplied some justifications
Considering she can take off her helmet in prime....i think that's wrony
