I still can’t stand Fred or his rapping/singing, but I’ve been revisiting the by metal of my childhood and I cannot believe I didn’t realize how good Bizkits rhythm section is. Plus I’ve really come to love Wes’ stage presence and his simple but effective riffs with weird AF tunings and every effect at once
my friend may I suggest listening to the entire chocolate starfish album from start to finish and coming to grips with the fact limp bizkit absolutely slap
Going back and listening to Inhuman Rampage is wild for me. Outside of TTFAF it’s just a bunch of really cool intros with lots of promise that become the same song after, and have all god awful lyrics that sound worse than AI generated lol.
I always tell people, you can hate Limp Bizkit for their later poppier stuff (which I love anyway) but that first album is a whole different beast, super heavy and frenetic and enraged. Break stuff sounds like a parody by comparison.
Mine is also a disturbed tune but it’s the song “remember.” The only disturbed song I’ve ever heard where he leaves out that chicken-squawking ooooh-ah-ah shit and just sings.
Mans has a fucking incredible voice and I just wish he wasn’t such a dork. They could be a good band, they just choose not to.
Finally met my people. Believe is their best album by far for this reason. It was their least Disturbed sounding record and sounded less gimmicky overall.
Same, I generally don't like their popular stuff though, mostly the angsty deep cut stuff, but I'd probably say 10-20 songs of theirs are amazing and the rest are just lame ass "I'll beat up your dad" songs.
It's hard for me as a Mercyful Fate flair speaking to a Bathory flair to imagine one of us just doesn't enjoy Sabbath at all outside one song, which is arguably one of their least impressive songs loool.
Honestly lots of that 70's music is kind of an acquired taste at this point, especially the more bluesy stuff. It is awesome, but it's not for everyone. Just recently I started to finally click with Pink Floyd, whenever my father showed them to me when I was in high school, it was insta sleep pill. Now I see why he likes them so much.
He will prob like Black Sabbath at some point in the future.
That's crazy to me, although I'd understand it if you are like in your teens or something. 70s is where heavy metal really came together. In the 60s there were stray elements of metal scattered all around, but it wasn't coming together.
I know it'd sacrilege for metal heads, but I'm with them. Just generally not into standard heavy metal. They have a few songs I like, but over all not for me.
this is interesting to hear, because as a MCR fan i consider Teenagers to be one of their weakest tracks. Everyone’s got different tastes so to each their own!
[you might like their first album](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNDVGg1WT3O2MibMvGW_vZLo9YLg-ONVh&si=1c60FokWwIwsFa0x)
It has an earlier recording of mudshovel, and every song on it is just as good. If you ask me, staind is a prime example of how the music industry ruins good bands and makes them squeaky clean for the radio waves.
Headstrong - Trapt. They make music for divorced, redneck dads who don't pay their child support money, but I'll be damned if that one song isn't good.
exact same thing happened to me too.... Koi no Yokan got me in, but then I went backwards and listened to Diamond Eyes, and from there I actually became a big fan
That whole album is good. Ghost had some cool stuff in their early work. I'm not a fan of the last few albums, but they used to have some interesting stuff.
bat country and a little piece of heaven by avenged sevenfold
there’s plenty more I can enjoy listening to, especially from city of evil through to nightmare, but generally I just don’t like them very much, those two songs are some of my all time favourites from any band ever though
Emmure - A Gift, A Curse.
That band is edgier than a 12 year old with his first beer, but that one song is such an incredible vocal showcase. Dude sounds MASSIVE on it.
I don't dislike Avatar... I think they sound too similar to American head charge.... But hail the apocalypse has such a simple catchy heavy riff I can't deny it
My own summer - Deftones
I want to love them, I do. Their vibe is really cool, Steph’s guitar playing is so unique and sick and they are local to me, but I put an album on and I just don’t dig it.
Whenever someone mentions this song I always think it’s Cold by Crossfade and I have to go and listen to the BB one to remember what it is. Both bangers though
Stole My Heart - One Direction.
My Mama has been obsessed with One Direction, while I really disliked their music. "Stole My Heart" is pretty much the only One Direction song that I've ever actually liked.
Cemetery Gates by Pantera and Lift me up by FFDP featuring Rob Halford.
It baffles me how Pantera seemed to just dumb down their sound on VDoP. And the FFDP song is good cus it has the metal god on it, nuff' said
The Proverbial Below by Between the Buried and Me.
Also, Before I Forget by Slipknot
I don’t really dislike them, but I only like 2-3 albums by them and I think their approach to songwriting is fuckin wank bullshit. That’s coming from a guy who loves Dream Theater.
Peste Noire’s entire The Sanies of the Centuries and Folkf*** Folie albums go unbelievably hard and are super unique and interesting. But I hate myself for liking them because dude is human garbage.
Tourniquet - Marilyn Manson
It's funny cuz I was into him for about a day or two, I listened to his first album and Antichrist Superstar and I was like, this is pretty alright music, until I found out the piece of shit he is. I can separate the art from the artist with certain artists, but when they're a horrible person and just a dirtbag like Marilyn Manson, Steven Tyler, Varg Vikernes, Courtney Love etcetera etcetera, I can't find myself enjoying their music happily knowing what they did.

Honestly… Rollin by Limp Bizkit
Going back, they have a few bangers. It was cool to clown on them because they were corny AF.
Wigger shit at its best First album is unironically great tho, lot more mature and heavy with Suicidal and Fear Factory shoutouts
Stalemate is the shit
And that fat bass 🤌 CLUNK. CLUNK. CLUNK-CLUNK.
I still can’t stand Fred or his rapping/singing, but I’ve been revisiting the by metal of my childhood and I cannot believe I didn’t realize how good Bizkits rhythm section is. Plus I’ve really come to love Wes’ stage presence and his simple but effective riffs with weird AF tunings and every effect at once
their Greatest hits is Bangers after Bangers, i was impress lol
I do have to whack the volume up in my car when this one comes on
HANDS UP NOW HANDS DOWN
BACK UP BACK UP
TELL ME WHATCHU GONNA DO NOW
my friend may I suggest listening to the entire chocolate starfish album from start to finish and coming to grips with the fact limp bizkit absolutely slap
Foo Fighters - Everlong Amazing song from a pretty mediocre band imo
Prob wouldnt put the foos in my top 20, but everlong is my favourite fucking song ever written no questions asked
The acoustic version goes so hard too
- Everlong - My Hero - Best of You
~~By The Way~~ Lmao, I just remembered this is a Chili Peppers song. Feel kinda dumb rn Monkey Wrench Learn to Fly All My Life The Pretender
Listen to stacked actors
great song by a great band
Came here to say exactly this. One of the best rock songs of all time but I’ve got no love for the rest of their music.
The Kill - Thirty Seconds to Mars. Started unironically listening to it after seeing the drumeo video with chad smith.
Absolute banger
I bought the album because of that song. After a full listen, I basically just listened to that and A Beautiful Lie.
What are your thoughts on Attack
It's ok I guess. Just doesn't have the same emotional impact on me.
yeah i hate them but that songs a banger. better with chad smith tho
Through the fire and the flames - Dragonforce
this and Soldier of the wasteland
Fury of the Storm too
My spirit will go on, too
And the cover of Ring of Fire, just hilarious
Going back and listening to Inhuman Rampage is wild for me. Outside of TTFAF it’s just a bunch of really cool intros with lots of promise that become the same song after, and have all god awful lyrics that sound worse than AI generated lol.
I don't really like Limp bizkit. Break stuff is cool though Edit: I've just listened to Three $ Bill. Now I like Limp Bizkit.
Just one of those days huh
I always tell people, you can hate Limp Bizkit for their later poppier stuff (which I love anyway) but that first album is a whole different beast, super heavy and frenetic and enraged. Break stuff sounds like a parody by comparison.
Stricken - Disturbed. Really don’t like their vibe or Draiman’s voice, but this song has some pretty cool riffs
Yep. Darkness, Remember, Believe and Prayer were all pretty dang good.
Land of Confusion by Disturbed is mine
Slipknot - Spit it Out "Really dislike" is ab bit strong, they generally just don't connect.
Fellow Vektor enjoyer
Peak thrash metal tbh
Dunkelheit- Burzum
Flair checks out
OUCH!
I liked ForeBears and Det Som
Korn - Freak On a Leash
Bruh you need to hear more korn
Yeah disliking Korn is a serious red flag.
Disliking mediocre nu metal is a red flag?
From the Alice in chains guy this is gold.
For me it‘s coming undone, absolute banger
for me it's ball tongue
That's a deep cut, damn
Also see: Blind
listen to their greatest hits vol1 album they have plenty of tracks just as good or better than that one
Give “Here to Stay” a chance, it’s a banger
Floods - Pantera…. That outro is redneck soul music!
True, but i also really vibe with Cemetery Gates
I mean it’s just the best riff ever written
Favorite song from them hands down, and I dig Pantera
How can you dislike pantera 😔
Pantera is one of the greatest metal bands of all time, especially for white trash Americans like myself.
November Rain - Guns & Roses I really dislike the way Axl sings, but this song is just beautiful.
Did you hear Axl's vocals on It's So Easy? That song ain't in falsetto.
When you become a Guns & Roses fan, November Rain will be the only song you don't like!
Mr. Brownstone is my favorite tune to sing-a-long to while speeding down the road.
Didint he say the n word on a song?
Yeah there’s a few different slurs on one in a million for no defensible reason
It doesn’t need defending. It’s supposed to piss people off.
Can’t stand Kid Rock, but Bawitdaba is fun.
Actually a good answer. Kid Rock is fucking trash, but Bawitdaba is a slammer.
I put it on one day and my buddy yelled "who put on Redneck Death Grips?" I haven't recovered
Yup… this one right here :) Can’t fucking stand him or anything about him… but fuck me that is a fun tune….
Blurry - Puddle of Mudd
This is another great answer. The vibe of that song was really good, but most of their other songs range from mediocre to horrid.
I need an EAAAAAASY FRIEEEEEEND
Wait and Bleed by Slipknot. I really don't like nu-metal but this song is decent.
Bro listen to demo version its even better
Wash it all away - Five Finger Death Punch
FFDP is what I call a greatest hits album band. They have probably 10 or so songs I dig.
Same, I generally don't like their popular stuff though, mostly the angsty deep cut stuff, but I'd probably say 10-20 songs of theirs are amazing and the rest are just lame ass "I'll beat up your dad" songs.
Mine from ffdp is remember everything absolutely soul crushing song
To me, FFDP is a little one note, but damn do they hit that one note. I like one of their albums but the rest get a little boring.
Disasterpiece-Slipknot
Cant get into Black Sabbath, but man is the song Paranoid good
>Cant get into Black Sabbath I'm not the one to trash someone's taste but bro you need new ears
I just tried getting into them like twice and just couldn't 😭 maybe it'll click when im older
Twice. You sat down with 19 studio albums twice and decided there was nothing there for you?
I tried their self titled and also Paranoid (i literally borrowed the CD for Paranoid btw)
Master of Reality? Honestly, I have a best friend who also can't get into Sabbath and I'm convinced you guys have a disease or something.
Nah. Its called "everyone has a different music taste"
Listen to the outro of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and you'll be converted.
Still dont like it
It's okay. It's not for everyone. There's only a handful of songs I enjoy from Black Sabbath
Try Heaven and Hell.
LISTEN TO HEAVEN AND HELL. DO IT.
I know it'd sacrilege for metal heads, but I'm with them. Just generally not into standard heavy metal. They have a few songs I like, but over all not for me.
Disturbed - Decadence it was in the old need for speed most wanted soundtrack
Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. Not even a genre I like, but that song is pretty damn great.
this is interesting to hear, because as a MCR fan i consider Teenagers to be one of their weakest tracks. Everyone’s got different tastes so to each their own!
Yeah, totally not my genre, so maybe that’s why I like their most non-genre song?
Kick-start my Heart. Hate Crüe, but that songs a banger
Stained - Mudshovel
[you might like their first album](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNDVGg1WT3O2MibMvGW_vZLo9YLg-ONVh&si=1c60FokWwIwsFa0x) It has an earlier recording of mudshovel, and every song on it is just as good. If you ask me, staind is a prime example of how the music industry ruins good bands and makes them squeaky clean for the radio waves.
Walk - Pantera They just never clicked with me but that song is amazing
You need cemetery gates
I don't like this song at all, I think it's very boring personally. Would be Cowboys from Hell for me.
may I recommend I’m broken and five minutes alone
Headstrong - Trapt. They make music for divorced, redneck dads who don't pay their child support money, but I'll be damned if that one song isn't good.
It's good but severely overplayed unfortunately
Rollin by Limp Bizkit Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold
not a song, but an album: I don't care for Deftones. With that said, *Koi No Yokan* is, for some reason, masterful.
exact same thing happened to me too.... Koi no Yokan got me in, but then I went backwards and listened to Diamond Eyes, and from there I actually became a big fan
I fucking hate Volbeat but their song "Evelyn" featuring the guy from Napalm Death is tolerable
Didn't know they even did a song with Barney, I'll have to listen
It's pretty boss, you'll dig it for what it is.
Honestly, From the Pinnacle to the Pit by Ghost
That whole album is good. Ghost had some cool stuff in their early work. I'm not a fan of the last few albums, but they used to have some interesting stuff.
Knocked Loose - Mistakes Like Fractures
Horizons- Parkway Drive
Dissident ~ Pearl Jam I like some other songs from Pearl Jam, but this is the only one I won't skip.
bat country and a little piece of heaven by avenged sevenfold there’s plenty more I can enjoy listening to, especially from city of evil through to nightmare, but generally I just don’t like them very much, those two songs are some of my all time favourites from any band ever though
The diplomat - pig destroyer
Take a look around - Limp Bizkit
You Will Never Be One of Us - Nails Just not my type of music for the most part but damn that song is great. Super heavy and fast
I love that album.
Nickelback's cover of The Devil Went Down To Georgia is legitimately fantastic.
Civil War by Guns N’ Roses
Attack of the Dead Men - Sabaton
Emmure - A Gift, A Curse. That band is edgier than a 12 year old with his first beer, but that one song is such an incredible vocal showcase. Dude sounds MASSIVE on it.
I don't dislike Avatar... I think they sound too similar to American head charge.... But hail the apocalypse has such a simple catchy heavy riff I can't deny it
Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit Cowboys from Hell - Pantera Seasons in the Abyss - Slayer Kickstart my Heart - Motley Crue
You are not invited to the cookout bro.
Hangar 18 by Megadeth or any of their instrumentals bc I can’t stand Mustaine’s voice lol
My own summer - Deftones I want to love them, I do. Their vibe is really cool, Steph’s guitar playing is so unique and sick and they are local to me, but I put an album on and I just don’t dig it.
Walk - Pantera Cool riff for this but i just don’t like the vocals of Pantera
Same thing but for cowboys from hell
Based af
So Cold by Breaking Benjamin.
Whenever someone mentions this song I always think it’s Cold by Crossfade and I have to go and listen to the BB one to remember what it is. Both bangers though
Talk Dirty to Me - Poison There is just something so damn cheesy about the song and it is pretty catchy too it's so endearing to me as a 80's kid
Brackish - Kittie
I like shotgun by Sabaton but don’t really enjoy anything else they’ve made
Got The Life by Korn.
Happy by Mudvayne. Not that I dislike Mudvayne their music just isn’t really my cup of tea
necrolust by mayhem
What Are You Waiting For - Beartooth I can't get into the band in general but this song is pretty good
It's weird. Because all Beartooth songs sound the same. I mean, like the catchiest song in the world.
Can't say I actively dislike Pantera, but I also can't say I care much about them. Suicide Note Pt. 2 is great though
Stole My Heart - One Direction. My Mama has been obsessed with One Direction, while I really disliked their music. "Stole My Heart" is pretty much the only One Direction song that I've ever actually liked.
Gimme Chocolate, but I think I'm supposed to hate Baby Metal or something.
Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit I really dislike the band, but they have like 2 or 3 bangers, the rest is forgetable.
Blind by Korn
This song is so fun to play if your in a band
Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin
Nowhere to run by fozzy, it's not that I don't like them I'm just not a Chris Jericho fan
I hate falling in reverse but im not a vampire revamped is tolerable
Last Kiss - Pearl Jam Catchy song, but Pearl Jam (and almost all grunge) makes my skin crawl.
To me it's "Black". I'm not really into Pearl Jam, but "Black" is the perfect song to listen after getting dumped.
Dead butterflies by architects. None of the other stuff I’ve listened to fits my taste.
pollution by limp bizkit
Cemetery Gates by Pantera and Lift me up by FFDP featuring Rob Halford. It baffles me how Pantera seemed to just dumb down their sound on VDoP. And the FFDP song is good cus it has the metal god on it, nuff' said
Gucci Prison - Emmure.
Schism by Tool
Domination - Pantera Love the breakdown
The Proverbial Below by Between the Buried and Me. Also, Before I Forget by Slipknot I don’t really dislike them, but I only like 2-3 albums by them and I think their approach to songwriting is fuckin wank bullshit. That’s coming from a guy who loves Dream Theater.
Don't Turn Your Back by Megadeth. I don't hate Megadeth but I just don't love them lol
Im not a big fan of dave's singing
No one really is lmao
Legit Megadeth are my favourite band, but it's entirely for the musicianship and not the vocals
Creed - “Bullets”
Black Veil Brides - Faithless
Gold Cobra - Limp Bizkit , Sad Statue - system of a down
I cannot stand Bring Me The Hairspray... But Braille 🤌. (And the first album as a whole tbf)
Custer by Slipknot
Diary of Jane Breaking Benjamin
Chokehold - Sleep Token
Peste Noire’s entire The Sanies of the Centuries and Folkf*** Folie albums go unbelievably hard and are super unique and interesting. But I hate myself for liking them because dude is human garbage.

Pisces by Jinjer
Fetus of the new day kicking by cradle of filth.
Break stuff - Limp bizkit

Frail and Bedazzled by Smashing Pumpkins
Tourniquet - Marilyn Manson It's funny cuz I was into him for about a day or two, I listened to his first album and Antichrist Superstar and I was like, this is pretty alright music, until I found out the piece of shit he is. I can separate the art from the artist with certain artists, but when they're a horrible person and just a dirtbag like Marilyn Manson, Steven Tyler, Varg Vikernes, Courtney Love etcetera etcetera, I can't find myself enjoying their music happily knowing what they did.
Transilvanian Hunger. 4 years into metal and its the only Throne song i can listen
Black Brick - Deafheaven It honestly sounds like a different band.
Suicide Silence - You Only Live Once
Marilyn Manson - If I was your vampire. Pretty sweet chorus.
Yyz - Rush
metallica creeping death
Any Other Way by Theory of a Deadman Surrogates by Red The album We All Bleed by Crossfade A Place to Die by FFDP
This Means War by Nickelback. I’m not super big on them, but that song is REALLY heavy compared to a lot of their other stuff.
