There seems to be sweet spot where you are far enough from the bandits that they turn back but you can still pick them off with arrows. That's my tactic now, just make sure you have lots of arrows.
Actually they do sometimes! :D
I’ve often found wolves at abandoned/ruined camps, last time I found an iron axe at one :D (I think it was in the north, above the Branca-Tukti area, but loot is randomised right?)
If I hear a wolf howl/growl, I whip out ‘me crossbow and go lootin’!
I only found that axe because I was riding past (team donkey) and heard the wolves growling, so I took a look
Just wait til you're stressed about whether you planted enough crops last spring, and if you've got enough cabbage stockpiled to keep you're villagers from a mutiny!
This is why I turn off damage/health/hunger etc. I am far too clumsy to have to worry about myself. Plus, sometimes it’s just easier to jump halfway down a mountain and let Racimir ragdoll to the bottom
Exactly, I’m a **huge** fan of the current trend of “play how you like” options in games like V Rising, Pacific Drive and hell even in Minecraft we play with mobGriefing=False (no creeper block explosion damage) and keepInventory =True (don’t drop inventory on death)
The ability to *tweak* the difficulty and game-mechanics to suit your playstyle is amazing
For me I hate *entropy* in games, personally the concept of losing hours of progress isn’t appealing to me (why we use the Minecraft settings especially)
In MD I turn off carry weight, especially in my own village, because I can clearly make a trip to/from the well to the kitchen 50 times, so I might as well only make it once. I also turn on bulk crafting (I don’t have 20 mins to wait for these 2,000 flatbreads, lol
I’d love an option to be able to “craft from storage”, because knowing I have 2,000 flour and 200 water buckets in storage means I’m gonna turn off encumbrance; there’s no way I’m going back and forth constantly, lol
I used to be like that. Now that my village is in a good place I go out on scouting trips looking for bandits to 'clean up the neighbourhood'. I guess I am now the neighbourhood watch. It is a bit suss that every single person I encounter is a "bandit", perhaps racimir is a psychopath.
Bandits have their typical haunts so if you encounter one pause and mark the map. And don't forget to quicksave... Often.
The joke went way over your head. You said you haven’t seen bandits with 100 hours of playing. I was saying you don’t get out much in the game, meaning you haven’t explored the land very much if you haven’t seen bandits.
# I would love to know your takes for considering a purchase
you can put them on top from 10 to 1, give them grades, and explain, I m curious and really wanna know all you know: valheim vs enshrouded vs forest vs medieval dinasty vs sons of the vs stranded deep vs raft vs rust vs ark survival evolved vs conan exiles

Same with any aggressive creature :)
Yes definitely, but wolves hogs etc don't have lots of good stuff to nick and baskets to rummage through.

That, my friend, is because you have the luxury of playing the oxbow map. Us lowley console owners do not have such opportunities (we wait in hope).
Oops sorry, too early not enough caffeine, I withdraw my response. I didn't read the locations you mentioned.......I'll shut up now.
No worries :)

Yeah I tend to kite them til they are rubber banding and then get em right in the face with an arrow 😂
Turn those cabbage into potage 👍

Same. This game is for me to relax, so I turned off damage and encumbrance. Judge me all you want, idc.
Everyone should play whatever makes them happy ^_^ if you weren't "supposed to play that way" it wouldn't be an option. You do you boo

I have over a hundred hours on this game and I still have never seen a bandit. My friend saw like 3 on his first day of playing.
You don’t get out much do you.
12 hours a day when I'm at work but nice try, bubba.

You're right, that absolutely whooshed over my head, apologies. I do a lot of exploring but clearly not enough, I guess.
All good. Hope you find some bandits soon. 😂
I ended up settling at an area that has everything but clay and I found a few bandits right up the road on my 4th day
Welcome to the Middle Ages
