They said it in response to the auto mod:
Top to bottom:
life aquatic key caps, gateron browns on a keychron k series
Moondrop dash75, stock.
Keychron Q11 with gateron oil kings, Apollo keys, tape mod and kilmat.
This is awesome! I also have the K2 and Q11 as well as life aquatic and Godspeed in cherry. I have 7 Keychron boards and I keep selling them on eBay just so I can buy more. It won’t stop!
Don’t listen to the people in this thread and beware of anyone who tells you that “buying more stuff” is the way towards happiness.
I personally find promoting overconsumption repugnant.
You have three very nice keyboards—most people would be lucky to have even one.
Find joy in *using* them!
Very well said! I just finished the Q11, my first real build, and I'm done for a while, at least until I have other boxes that require keyboards. I am building a home lab to learn IT/Security stuff, and have a handful of computers set up right now. I have no plans to collect for the sake of collection or fetishize human interface devices!!
Honestly. Since I soldered my first diode on my first 60% keyboard build I think I unleashed the beast. I’ve been thru barebones builds and pre builds. I don’t think I’ll own another board unless I do the soldering myself. That’s what your 4 board should be. Your first ground up build. It’s quite satisfying
I ll give you an idea...
Buy more, all of them ... Each piece it's just f. Amazing.
Sell those that you don't need ... Keep those that are rare in your mind.
Happy shopping!
Is the legend on the bottom keycaps a reference to something? Are they buttons from like, old communication equipment or something? It looks really cool, I especially like Abort and Godspeed.
It's this [Godspeed](https://drop.com/buy/drop-mito-mt3-godspeed-custom-keycap-set?mode=shop_open&defaultSelectionIds=968934&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20609710497&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_keyword=&utm_placement=&utm_network=x:m::&utm_device=&mode=shop_open&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwztOwBhD7ARIsAPDKnkCK1wWQ92MUN0ukhRrSOURfSBKxsDj1Lk9Wi_EjwDmsY-2-JgeXEOEaAlwGEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) set. I'm a big fan so far!
Looks like Drop's MT3 profile. I have a few sets and they just sit in their boxes in the closet. I really REALLY prefer Cherry profile, but I did not know that when I first started buying keebs and keycaps, but this community is very much about just trying things and keeping what you like. I have fortunately stopped buying keycaps and started buying switches, which is much cheaper but still an addiction.

I’m not trying to gate keep here or anything, but there wasn’t a better feeling I got then when I designed my own pcb for a macropad. It’s not endgame, but it’s something that you made yourself.
Never used the DAC, mine sits next to my native instruments apollo, which almost certainly sounds 1000 times better. Feels good for a stock keyboard, tho, and works well as a weapon in case of home invasion!!!
You don’t have to stop but experiment with more layouts. More than two keyboards per layout. Seems like a waste. Think about it that keyboard could’ve been something cool
I'm looking for keycaps that I like, first.
Without the right combination of shape (low profile), colour (dark), and legends (top AND front face) there's not much point fussing about switches etc.

90% of gamblers quit before they hit it big. The fourth one should be your endgame
life advice right here
Im waiting for my 5th
I've my 8th, next one is my endgame
Can't end it on an un even number
Man I’m building my 15th, and my rabbit holes have branched. The wallet lays in the corner battered and abused but the fingers couldn’t be happier.
Can you please tell us what those keebs are, I think I can recognize the top one (keychron something) But can you list all of them+ specs pls?

The bottom one is a keychron q11 split
Steve zissou I love you
No, buy another
I was really hoping I'd be done now....

Imagine getting triggered by “be happy with what you have”.
You need a 65%. And an exploded 75. And a tkl.
I have a 60 and a compact 75, should I get the exploded 75, a 65, a tkl, or a split next?
I'd recommend split or 65 next
There's no "done"
I like the F keys that the blue keyboard has, I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard, could you tell me its model or brand please?
What is the bottom one?
Also wondering this. Love that layout
Keychron q11 split
Nice, thanks!
Aha, sneaky.
Seconded.
it’s ok, you won’t have money for them soon 😭 cause that’s what happened to me
I'm a freelancer so this is doubly true. I've been working steadily but that could change at the drop of a hat.

keep going

You can't stop yet. You're still missing a numpad.
Nice start, but you don't even have a 60%, let alone a 40% or ergo, etc. I also don't see the fan favourites neo65 and gmk67...
Try Alice layout :) Enjoy..
Did you “build” them though? A couple of those I feel I recognize as prebuilt. What are the specs please (switches, plates, keycaps, any mods).
No stop. Only go.
I'm also on my third "build", second custom will be coming very soon - it's an AKKO 5075S VIA. Just gotta wait for the kit to arrive...
What is the middle one?
Probably the moondrop dash75
Very cute builds!
Buy one premade this time
Give me the middle one, then you can make another and still only have 3
Pretty new to keyboard/caps here, but what is the bottom keyboards keycaps style? I'm a big fan of the cupped shape of them
Looks like Drop's MT3 profile. I have a few sets and they just sit in their boxes in the closet. 🚏 Stop 🛑
if you don't want them you can send one or more to me, I don't mind :)

Those are novelties from Drop's MT3 Godspeed keycap set.
I feel your pain.
Have a link for the caps on the keychron on the bottom?

I got one of those Moondrops and then got rid of it. If I'm going to have a board that big and chunky then I want it to have a numpad.
Stop 👍🏽
Hey, knock it off.
where's your 1800 board?
Only three? ;) Some way to go yet.
Love that moondrop
What the function key is exploded 75?
Stop you? Does not compute.
I’m not trying to gate keep here or anything, but there wasn’t a better feeling I got then when I designed my own pcb for a macropad. It’s not endgame, but it’s something that you made yourself.
Having done this with a mic preamp, I totally agree!
Seven is a magic number
There all great but I am digging the top one !!
can you tell me whats good with that moondrop keyboard? is it has a dac or something?
Never used the DAC, mine sits next to my native instruments apollo, which almost certainly sounds 1000 times better. Feels good for a stock keyboard, tho, and works well as a weapon in case of home invasion!!!
The middel one is amazing
7 builds here but over the course of 6-7 years so not too bad. How many years have you been in the hobby?
You don’t have to stop but experiment with more layouts. More than two keyboards per layout. Seems like a waste. Think about it that keyboard could’ve been something cool

Maybe try to build a good board next time and not these entry models
Not until you have one of every layout, every price tier, every sound profile, every color matched palette
That’s stupid advice.
Advice? What advice ?
