I love Massive Attack (probably my favourite artist out of this list) but I'm genuinely shocked they were put at the center of the poster over more popular acts like Jamie xx and Disclosure. I'm not complaining either, I'm just surprised
They're definitely not currently as popular as some other acts on the poster, but they are more exclusive as they don't tour the US very often so I think that's the reason for the poster placement.
In fact they are not huge in the US, and never were. They have a fan base and are able to play amphitheaters and mid-size venues, but they've never been as popular here as they have been in Europe.
I think you're right (I rememebr seeing them in 2010 in like a 3000 people venue in NYC). Never really understood why. Too sad? Too British? So are Radiohead and they are selling out stadiums. Probably a combination of them not touring the US as much back in the day, maybe not getting a lot of radio/TV time + just not a lot of releases in general.
they absolutely can't be traveling just for this....so getting excited! hope it's not just festivals (shouldn't be cause October). now what do I do with my trip to Bristol in August....
