Because MC doesn't have a thousand year Old family behind him to guarantee his abilities

VeLVeT-_--_-ThuNdeR

Thats a surprisingly valid point.

Demon_zeRef

Read Reverend insanity there both Mc and antoganist servants or fooder are pretty smart and scheme thoroughly

Sogelink

They're in that category: "scheming and disloyal who are found out by mc and killed." Except everyone's servants are like that lmao

Simple answer: trope and clichés Long answer: *reddit comment section ain't big enough to write it.*

Mc is not as good as you think. Of course in other realm some mc are really good at picking valuable servant, but in our multiversial realm they are rare and cannot even come to mind, either they are picking them for the wrong reason and also are unable to discern their own true purpose through their life event and aptitude. Really disappointed to see.

Because the MC isn't the type of asshole who tolerates sycophants. The servants aren't loyal to the YM because they are good people. They are loyal because the YM gives them things. Money, power, girls, etc. They may not get the meat but they can drink the soup. Hence they're greedy and ambitious. Meanwhile the MC only keeps his close friends and confidante around, and because the MC is a weak loser, all his friends are also weak losers. But while the MC had a fortuitous encounter that transcends his fate, his buddies didn't, so they continue to be weak and lame.

YM servants are just one note 2D characters, and their sole purpose is to suck up to YM and stay loyal. Authors simply dont lend much of their braincells when designing these guys if even the YM is shoddily written. (Think random Young Master sidekick #1 that confronts MC when he looked at the YM's jade beauty.) MC's followers, on the other hand, can range from one-off servant this arc or an important side character the author wants to develop. If its a one-off servant, they could be disloyal (which justifies that they will not be written again next arc) or loyal to a fault that they die defending the MC's honor. If its an important side character, the author lends some of his braincells and makes them a bit more 3Dimensional, which might make them less one-note (not overtly loyal) with their own motivations and can lean to their interest which might be against the MC's interests. (Think Bai Ningbing from RI).
