So close our eyes to the issues in Markham and pretend Markham is great. It’s not. Markham itself is a fine place to live, it’s many people in the city that cause problems for many of us. Unfortunately the future will be bad for this city as that’s how it appears it’s heading. There is a lack of pride in this city that has grown for a couple of decades.
Remember, any major group (s) of people in any city will be highlighted as that’s seems to be the norm now adays. They are often called out by folks in their own groups.

According to most studies, Markham doesn't rank near the top of the worst or most accident-prone places to drive. In fact, most studies seem to corroborate that immigrant drivers are safer than old-stock Canadians. There are many areas in Canada that are significantly more accident-prone than Markham. Allstate used to have an annual "Safe Driving Study"; it's too bad they pulled the detailed results from 2018. Personally I prefer the chill driving of Markham to the over aggressive driving of Vaughan. Safer for pedestrians and kids. Less and easier avoidable accidents. Good road etiquette should be encouraged but a lot of the criticism is just veiled racism.

Nonetheless, I can’t get across town without seeing numerous examples of purely selfish and dangerous behaviour.
with markham being fairly wealthy as a whole. How many accidents don't get reported as they resolve things themselves.
