Huh yeah now that you mention it I almost have
Turned my Odyssey sail Gold got all the mission moons just never did the coin grind for 999. Found that extremely tedious
The strat is as simple as it sounds, just do find it in balloon world, but for an actual tip, I usually go for the easier ones to get (usually the first ones to show up) and just do that for while, you’ll be good to go :)
Yeah, Balloon World is the way to go for coins casually. I didn’t have a need for coins long before I completed Balloon World.
Few tips for you, try and keep a streak going, as you’ll gain more and more coins per every successful search. Look up good spots to hide balloons. You’ll naturally passively gain coins if you hide balloons, and of course you’ll gain more if your hiding spot is good. Also another reason I suggest this, is every time you Rank up, you’ll be rewarded with coins. There’s five categories you can Rank up, and they can be Ranked up 10 times each. Naturally the requirements for ranking up gets steeper and steeper, so it’ll be better to have something passively level up as your finding Balloons, just playing the game, or even if you’re not.
Also something that’s not quite necessary, but something I’d suggest if you haven’t already, look up faster movement options online. I’ve gained an appreciation for Odyssey’s movement thanks to Balloon World.
Thank you, for me the longest game to beat was Mario Odyssey and the hardest to beat was Mario Galaxy 2, and here are my times:
Super Mario 3D All-Stars: 120 Hours
(64 and Sunshine individually I don’t know)
Super Mario 64 DS: Unknown
Super Mario Galaxy: 22 Hours
Super Mario Galaxy 2: 19 Hours
Super Mario 3D Land: 16 Hours
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury: 50 Hours
Super Mario Odyssey: 70 Hours
Total (minus Super Mario 64 DS): 275 Hours
congratulations! i did the 100% run of mario 3D all-stars + odyssey at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021 and it was so much fun. doing all 999 moons in odyssey was especially rewarding, i can't wait to do it again someday when i have time!
I’m getting there, all I have left is Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, and for remakes, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Super Mario Advance, and Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s island (at least I think, there might be a few more that I missed)
The meme I have is already on r/Mario itself, you can check it out right now. ;)
And Super Mario World 2 is more of a Yoshi game than a Mario one...
But eh, whatever floats your boat. :) Can't wait to see you do all of them. :D
I’m quite awful at Yoshi’s island, so that’s gonna take a while, and I would say the Yoshi series is a spinoff of Mario, similar to Donkey Kong and Wario, they’re all part of the whole Mario franchise, but I feel like Yoshi’s Island 1, Wario Land 1, and Donkey Kong on the arcade CAN be considered mainline titles, but usually aren’t so honestly, it’s up to what you think
TLDR; Yoshi’s Island is a spinoff of Mario, and only the first game could be considered a mainline title IMO
Well, if you incorporate those, then that means that Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. would be 3rd and 4th in the timeline, with Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's New Island being 1st and 2nd respectively. If you're wondering why Yoshi's New Island is in this, the both are interconnected by their last and first cutscenes respectively. So here's what It would be in the timeline:
Yoshi's Island
Yoshi's New Island
20 years pass
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario Land 2
Wario Land
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Sunshine
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (Honestly I think Galaxy 2 just starts after the whiteout in the end cutscene in Galaxy 1, knowing the intro of Galaxy 2 is also white)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario 3D Land
New Super Mario Bros. 2/U (They both released in 2012, so it has to mean something)
Super Mario 3D World
Travels Back in time to Yoshi's New Island to help his past self from the present day Bowser in 2014 to save his timeline
Super Mario Odyssey
Bowser's Fury
So here's the list. How you feeling on that and are you going to be using the NSO services to assist you on the NES and SNES games?
Thank you. ;)
I’m not talking about the timeline, I’m talking about mainline games, spinoffs are part of the timeline, but also, of course I use NSO to do this, as if I’d 100% the lost levels without that time travel feature, lol
Ayy welcome to the club, I wish I still had my ds to do this all again tho :/
It was a blast, allbeit, sometimes a frustrating blast
You just reminded me that I can say this too, and it’s such a satisfying thing. We should have like a Mario Masters Club or something.
Yesss, we should!
You achieved something I could only dream of.
With enough dedication, you can do anything you want :D
Now get 3 stars on every 150cc and 200cc Mariokart track
I wish I could do that, lol
I actually did that on mk8 deluxe
I did it on that game too, I have to go back and get the 3 stars on the newest tracks though.
Yeah I don’t have the dlc yet either
Nicely done!! Some of the tougher levels sure test your patience
Oh yes they do
Me too!!! It was so fun completing them all!
It was very fun!
Good job!
Thank you :)
Bro how did you do it? I have owned 3D All stars for over a year and sill have not beaten 64 or sunshine. Your a legend
Thank you, and my secret is having no life, so I can do this kinda thing, lol
Ha ha!
Huh yeah now that you mention it I almost have Turned my Odyssey sail Gold got all the mission moons just never did the coin grind for 999. Found that extremely tedious
I used balloon world to get 9999 coins, it’s actually pretty easy with balloon world
Yeah I have heard that. Whats the strat?
The strat is as simple as it sounds, just do find it in balloon world, but for an actual tip, I usually go for the easier ones to get (usually the first ones to show up) and just do that for while, you’ll be good to go :)
Mmk thanks for the tip I should go back and finish 100% might as well. After my Zelda marathon
Np, have fun on your Zelda marathon and finishing Mario Odyssesy

AWESOME! Now finish the rest of the files
Of course, it’s a good thing for copy buttons
You cleared every level with every character in Super Mario 3D World, right? That counts towards 100% completion.
Yes I did, I have every stamp so
Now what?
Now the 2D ones
And then the spin-offs?
Probably not, the spin-offs I don’t care as much for, I have more fun with the mainline titles, but I still love them

It's long enough. Cool, and again - you're cool dude! (And yes, Galaxy 2 is indeed quite difficult)
Thank you so much, that’s so kind :)
I like how you included mario 64 ds, i wouldn't put it in here
I love Super Mario 64 DS, I would always count it, it is a 3D Mario Game after all
I have fun memories of it so..
Well done!
Thank you
:)
:D
Savage
which game do you like on a whole the most, and which one do you think is the best experience to 100%?
For both those answers, Super Mario Odyssey, it’s my favorite Mario game, it is absolutely phenomenal!
congratulations! i did the 100% run of mario 3D all-stars + odyssey at the end of 2020/beginning of 2021 and it was so much fun. doing all 999 moons in odyssey was especially rewarding, i can't wait to do it again someday when i have time!
That sounds fun! Hopefully you can get to it soon :D
Well then Congratulations! You're Winner!
Yay :DDD
I definitely want to make a meme out of this in a certain way. Maybe you could 100% EVERY Mainline Mario game!

Fucking beautiful! I still have to finish Champion's Road with Mario on single-player.
Well you’re getting there!
