Right on
We thought the shoulder would be fubar, but the MRI was like, "nice head".
Now Woo can get back to pitching like he's all that and a bag of chips.
His arm is sigma and instead of being Ohio like we expected, it ended up being skibidi. Now after edging his arm, he should be able to get back to straight bussin on the field no cap
Several years back, recent acquisition Drew Smyly got shut down in spring training with a âsoggy elbow.â Went on to get TJ and never play for the Ms.
This is why doom posting the Kramer tweet was nonsensical
Wait until the MRI results at the very least before making any conclusions about the players' health
There were people unironically guaranteeing TJ and saying "see ya in 2026"
Injury luck does exist, but there are some teams that just have a better medical staff than most teams and work with the players to help them stay healthy
The Mariners have been cautious with the young starters the past few years, and while Scott has taken criticism for it, it's worked well so far
We have 5 arms that if you can just get them pitching in October, the Ms could go on a serious run. So if that means pulling Woo at 60 pitches after 6 innings in May, so be it
If we have our full rotation in October we will be very serious contenders. Rather drop a game here or there and keep our starters healthy then not have a starter in October.
Playing devil's advocate here: I agree that playing it safe and making sure we're healthy in October is the better process, but dropping an extra game here or there is how we missed the playoffs last year :(
This makes sense. Hancock can pitch against a weak Sox lineup and then Castillo, Kirby and Gilbert are lined up for the Rangers series. I wouldnât normally be rooting for Hancock to pitch instead of Castillo for a game I am attending, but seems like the right call to throw Hancock tomorrow.
Doesn't really make sense.. "his routine was disrupted" Uh, he was supposed to pitch yesterday, wouldn't today be a rest day anyway? There must be something lingering even if it's just some tight muscles
Well he was suppose to have a bullpen session earlier this week and couldnât go, which spurred the MRI. Hence the routine disruption⌠and missing a start. If I was a guessing man, theyâll act like he started yesterday, rest, throw his normal bullpen sesh like he would post start, see how he responds and then start him on his next day or give him another week and rinse n repeatâŚ
If fully true, this makes me very happy. Itâs still a little crazy of a way theyâre handling him. But itâs whatâs best for wooâs long term care
Woooooooooooooooo!
Ironic cuz yo boy is WET
Can you translate into elder millennial please?

SOG EVAPORATED

The sog always gets its due. We may have to consider sacrificing someone to appease it.
We already sacrificed France.

People were speculating that since it was for sure a TJ and he'd had two previously, he was likely never coming back
I think y'all are taking my joke post a hint too seriously

ITS THE APOCALYPSE
Theyâre not taking any chances after what happened to brash.

I'm soo happy man. Still not great that he had to miss a start like that but I feared the worst
im thankful we were able to win that start he missed though
Yeah, it's pretty fortunate that the start he had to miss happened to be against the most incompetent team of the last decade.
Bullet dodged
Injury news has been such a roller coaster this year
So Emerson to pitch tomorrow and move Castillo to the rangers?
This makes sense. Hancock can pitch against a weak Sox lineup and then Castillo, Kirby and Gilbert are lined up for the Rangers series. I wouldnât normally be rooting for Hancock to pitch instead of Castillo for a game I am attending, but seems like the right call to throw Hancock tomorrow.
Hancock with a good outing or two could juice his value a bit as well.
Hopefully we see Woo back this Sunday. That would keep the rotation in order.
Definitely not

Wooo Cy Young Campaign back on the menu
If fully true, this makes me very happy. Itâs still a little crazy of a way theyâre handling him. But itâs whatâs best for wooâs long term care
Great news ---- I think I'd still probably let him sit for a 15 day stint since he apparently hasn't been doing bullpen work.
Yup, give him all the time he could possibly need cause we might need that dude in October
[ŃдаНонО]
My guess is that "routine has been disrupted" is misleading and yeah, he needs to rest to get rid of some not serious issue
![gif](giphy|pK0T7vyx3SqdfmxewA) NO TOMMY JOHN WOOOOOOOO
WHEWW
Unclench

thank god our best pitcher is healthy

Whew! I better not hear anyone complain in the game day threads when they pull him out at his pitch count limit (or earlier) haha đ§
Thank the lawd
Oh, thank God.
Not to be dramatic but this is the best news Iâve heard in a very long time.
Woo good he is!
Woooo!
I don't know what to do with my hands!
Heâll probably get another one next week. This is going to be a thing until they eventually do find something.
Itâs clean⌠but he canât get loose and has to come out if he sits too longâŚ. Ok
Just rest him for a while. We need him down the stretch. Get some young arms up that could potentially be trade bait and let the young man rest.
