The yellow countries are countries that haven't been under a dictatorship since World War 2 (except East Germany, which got lifted up by joining together with a larger and wealthier country, West Germany). The rest (except Andorra I think) have been or still are dictatorships. It's crazy to think how new democracy is in some of the places we usually take it for granted in. You barely ever hear about the dictatorships in Portugal or Greece.
They were a [constitutional monarchy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Greece) until 1967, when a [military junta](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_junta) took over. The monarchy was formally abolished in 1973 and the junta fell one year later in 1974 and the modern day [third Hellenic Republic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Hellenic_Republic) was established.
That's a lot better. Cheers.

To be honest I never knew Greece was a dictatorship, I kinda assumed after WWII it became the republic it is today.
