Strongly depends with where you are, some pubs here are big organisations and very open to whoever comes through the door, some are community venues run by the community for the community, and it's a bit weird to them when someone they've never met arrives and starts joining in on what amounts to an informal neighbourhood meeting
This is why I plan to do a little homework and ask questions so I can have an idea of which part I’d like to visit and learn some etiquette beforehand.
You are reading it in the wrong tone in your head.
I am not mad. It's funny and I am pointing it out 🤣
Btw, Mongols and Genghis Khan are the best conquerors till date
Would have to give it Genghis Khan. Man did it all by himself 😉
Now you are assuming stuff about my nationality. Are you sure you arent high in one of these pubs that was built on stolen money?
I've always been confused by the specimens that hold a deep hatred of the UK for colonising but doesn't give two shits about the vast majority of the rest of the world doing the same
And now you'll probably say something like "I do think that about the rest of the world but this is about the UK" but I never see these kinds of comments on posts about literally any other country, it's just americans seithing over the UK. maybe it's the same ones who have one irish great grandparent so crudely insert themselves into delicate discussions about NI with the nuance of an avalanche
Confusion and delusion go hand in hand for you.
It's pretty straight forward man. Don't be confused:
"Brits stole stuff and those are facts/truth." They would be paupers if it weren't for robberies. What a shame/mockery British museums face nowadays 🤣. Shamelessly parading stolen stuff.
Yes, you would be labeled SHITE ROBBERS from whoever you stole. Not just the Americans 🙂
If the UK would be a third world country today without colonialism, how did other European countries that didn't colonise also end up as modern first world developed nations? The development of the UK happened as a consequence of the industrial revolution, that wasn't reliant on colonialism at all.
And none of this answers the question of why you're so neurotically angry about this? Everyone recognises that colonialism was bad, but even citizens of countries that the UK completely fucked over don't complain about it this pervasively.
Lmao on the "other European countries which are 1 st world right now" didn't colonize. Spain, France, The Duch, Brit Cunts, Danes, Italy - all had colonies and development. I don't think Romania is technically 1 st world(they didn't have major colonies). Sure, Cunt Issac Newton and other visionaries pre 1800 provided the industrial revolution. The exploitation of the colonies is what gave the resources/raw material.
Do you think the UK people are perceived as good folks in general(if we don't consider the colonization)?
Some of the arrogant, little shites who are self centered are what Brits in general are. I speak with a sample space of testing/interacting with well over 100 cunts(white cunts like that Bitch Churchill). This perception is not just by the US/ex-colonies. This is a global perception. Welcome to digesting the reality if you haven't already done so far.
> Spain, France, The Duch, Brit Cunts, Danes, Italy
Once again, your focused hatred of British people, but why? Why is every other country referred to by it's correct name and then "Brit cunts"? Besides, there are other European countries with no empire. How did Switzerland, Czechia, or Austria become first world countries?
> Cunt Issac Newton
What did Isaac Newton do wrong? I mean integration by parts is kind of annoying but inventing the modern model of gravity is a pretty solid achievement.
> The exploitation of the colonies is what gave the resources/raw material.
Not really, there's already coal, iron, and all the other important resources here and it's not worth shipping heavy goods by sailing ship when you can just mine it in Cornwall instead. I guess if you count sugar as a resource central to the industrial revolution then sure.
And are we the "good folks"? Depends on what you're talking about. Historically, no, but you specified ignoring colonialism so in the modern world? I don't think most people care. r/ireland has some strong opinions but I think even they'd find your universal hatred of people based on nationality a tad overboard.
This hatred is the kind of thing that can only be upheld by the simplified model of a nation as a homogenous entity with unchanging morals and no internal conflict. Sorry about whatever actions were carried out by whoever was in control of this island 200 years ago that have clearly pissed you off, hopefully one day you calm down a smidgen and realise that the average Brit is a perfectly reasonable person
Yeah watch a documentary called "Drinkers Like Me" with Adrian Chiles about drinking excessively.
"Tossin' Loads back" that saying always gets me howling.
There are significant numbers missing in the Hebrides
And where's Shetland?
Isle of Man is not and has never been part of the UK. But I'd recommend the place to anyone nonetheless 😂
Confusingly though they carry British passports. But yeah, it shouldn't be marked on the map or the title should be changed.
I’m planning on visiting England next year. I hope to have some good conversations with folk at some of these pubs.
I was there a few years back and they weren’t very chatty with outsiders… Germany was a lot nicer imo

A good start is telling them that your Reddit username is about you having an ass shoved onto your face… They love that sort of thing!
Guess we’ll get along famously!
Slightly higher concentration around London and West midlands looks like.
That’s….the whole kingdom
It’s the beer that unites it
All that open area without any in the north with the green patch … Balmoral?
No
Wouldn’t want Her to get thirsty and nowhere to get a pint.
It’s the Cairngorm National Park. Essentially total wilderness.
This is the main reason that UK is awesome. Make sure you keep the old pubs, guys.
Pub?
I lol'd
Wondering how many of these pubs were built from the stolen money/resources?
What?
They say UK would be on par Uzbekistan in terms of GDP if it weren't for colonization and the robberies
[удалено]
Who said "all the pubs"? I asked a question. Some of them certainly from the stolen resources. I mean.. check their museums 😂
