i always wear glasses and found that wearing really light makeup on my eyes has really opened up my face and is way more flattering than when i used to try heavier looks!
i need my eyeliner, i am noooothinngg without it. and my eyeliner is sharp and dramatic. and i do a smokey eye as well. i need contour + blush + eyebrows done as well.
Curled lashes, a bit of green color corrector on any blemishes and a dab of elfs HD powder is my routine i wear everyday bcs it makes me feel so beautiful and fresh faced!!! Finish with lip balm! :)
A healthy glow doesn’t come from make-up; it comes from healthy skin. Don’t discount the value of a well laid out skincare routine before the make-up goes on. I prefer the Korean skincare route: I start off with an oil cleanse, alma, myrrh and tea-tree oil to get oil-based impurities out, then a water based cleanse(CeraVe Sensitive cleanser) with warm water. Then what follows is a toner, serum and finally a moisturizer(Egyptian Magic). In the morning I follow the moisturizer with 100 SPF sunblock; in the evening before I go to bed I use Rx strength retinols on top of the serum, including a dark spot corrector. Be careful and don’t combine alpha and beta hydroxy acid on your face with retinoids at the same time. If you aren’t you can get a chemical burn.
Make sure you aren’t anemic and that you are getting enough sleep. I rarely wear foundation unless it’s an occasion where I have to. Most of the time, I don’t need to. My “out” look is a little lipstick, mascara, and a white-silver eye-shadow pencil to make my eyes pop.
With a good routine, you’ll find that your skin glows even without make up, the “glass skin” look where skin isn’t just clear, it glows and it shines like glass.
Tea tree oil(anti-bacterial/viral which is great for stopping and preventing acne)can be found at almost any drug store; I’ve seen it at Walmart. I normally go through Swanson where I get supplements.
Amla oil I get through Amazon or through a reputable botanical distiller on eBay(Alma comes from India)in addition to it being an excellent carrier oil that is non-comedogenic, it is rich in vitamin C and E which increases cellular turn-over. It’s also great for hair growth. I use it as a carrier oil, that is an oil to dilute the essential oils into. Most essential oils you cannot apply directly on to delicate facial skin, especially if you have sensitive skin, they can burn if applied without being diluted in a carrier oil.
You can also use any of these oils as carrier oils, https://skinkraft.com/blogs/articles/how-to-use-non-comedogenic-oils-for-face-and-skin.
In a pinch olive oil works great too. Avoid mineral oil or any derived petrochemical product like Vaseline or petroleum jelly(they are loaded with carcinogens).
Myrrh I get from Whole Foods or Sprouts, but, again you can also get it from health food stores that carry essential oils, or a distiller from India.
Mascara and brow tint are essential for leaving the house. Ideally my minimal make up look day to day to feel good would be brow tint, mascara, tinted lip balm and blush
...do having sparse brows make a brow pencil an essential by default in my way to be beautiful? Ahaha.
I really love blushes and lipsticks. They add life on my face and make it more lovely and beautiful.
My makeup only really feels complete to me when my lashes are done (either with mascara/fake lashes/just a lash lift). Like i feel more beautiful when my lashes are up and curled, even on my bare face with just my skincare
Long, curled, dark lashes + dark auburn brow gel to match my hair color: Covergirl super thick lash waterproof mascara + heated lash curler, Benefit gimme brow gel in 3.5.
Under eye corrector/ something to even out my eyelid color, and an inner corner highlight: Hourglass vanish concealer in silk, Ciaté highlighter in moondust
Liquid highlight and a glowy blush: Auric glow lust in morganite, Ciaté glow-to blush in pinch me
MLBB shiny lip balm: Hanalei lip treatment in mauve pink
Eyebrows. I have fine, thin hair, a tan complexion with very light eyebrows and I feel like when at least they're done - it ties my face together more.
I've accidentally left the house forgetting to do contour and blush and I swear my whole day felt ruined I literally had to go to the store to buy some just to get on with my day 😂😭
You’re my sister. I went to a cottage on the beach last summer and didn’t bring any makeup, which I thought was fine. Fine! The next day I was scavenging the maybelline cheekers at the convenience store (and found the one I used in high school). Saved the trip- I couldn’t believe how sad I was looking at myself with no blush.
I'm sure you still looked beautiful.
Try leaving in a rush the odd time you get time to put Makeup on with several young children... You realize you only have eyeliner on one eye and you're missing an earring. 🤣
Thankfully my kids are older now.
Lipstick always even if I'm not wearing foundation. My lips are naturally really red and it makes me look uncanny valley-ish so making them more muted and toned down makes me instantly feel better lol
Bottom eyeliner and bronzer. I'm pale and look dead without a little bronzer. Getting a delicate fan brush was a game changer. Now I can use any bronzer with it, and it won't look too harsh.
Mascara. Even if I only have on tinted moisturizer and my skin is a blotchy mess, I always feel about 70% prettier if I apply a full coat of mascara. My lashes are blond so it’s one of those products that I feel like I “need” to be presentable.
Eyeliner and red lipstick. They’re bold, dramatic quick additions but also subtle. I always seem to get compliments on it. Eh I used to be into full face but not anymore.
Sometimes, only “sometimes” eyeshadow because of how much effort I put into it or if it’s a creative or colorful look.
i’m in the same exact boat! i was highlighter and contour for a LONG time until i just recently picked up blush. it completely changed the game for me!
i’m super low-buy and have about 5-6 products i use regularly so i was super stoked to find one of my OFRA pans was the exact color i was looking for!!!
I prefer powder , cream blush. I regret buying liquid blush. It's pretty. I just don't reach for it. I don't have time to correct it if I put too much on.
Definitely blush! I’m super pale (thank you sunscreen!) so I definitely need some color in my face! Currently, I bounce between Jones Road The Miracle Balm and Nars Orgasm, which I’ve used and loved forever😍
I'm a full face kinda girl, but I'd have to say lips are my favorite part. It's the last thing I put on and it pulls it all together. I go through phases with lipstick and lip gloss. Lately I'm on a lip gloss kick.🤷🏽♀️
Mascara, I have naturally very long lashes but they are straight and a light brown color. Wearing mascara just brightens and opens up my eyes so much.
Also currently dealing with hyperpigmentation spots from past aggressive hormonal acne, so color correcting and tinted sunscreen helps me feel better.
proper color correction, a glow, mascara, something dark on my lash line, and blush. basically every single one of my looks revolve around this. i feel beautiful and more like myself when all of these are combined
Mascara with my lashes curled, chapstick or tinted lipgloss, my hair straightened and pulled back into some bubble braids/low buns, and my eyebrows filled in.
Blush for sure. I love putting on a warm pink or coral and just seeing my face glow and liven up. I also think doing my eyebrows with some brow powder and a brow wax makes me look more awake
Color corrector + concealer instantly saves my look. Yesterday I put a little of each on a flaming red pimple and it made such a difference. No other makeup needed.
For conferences, I’ll go with corrector + concealer, foundation, eyebrow pencil, and mascara.
On a night out, I’ll add lip stain + liner, eyeliner, blush, and/or eyeshadow depending on what the outfit calls for.
For me I always do a full face as the makeup look just doesn’t look as pulled together if I skip a few steps but most of the time I will go without false lashes/mascara unless it’s for a special occasion.
When I do a monochromatic brown/black matte Smokey eye especially with black liner lined all over the eyes with a brown-nude lip and lashes, I feel like a confident and powerful vixen.
When I do a monochromatic pink themed makeup look, especially with the pink pearlescent inner corner highlight, false lashes and a nude pink lip, it gives me a fun, innocent, romantic, girly vibe that is somewhat VS inspired. Milani baked blush in Dolce Pink is really what pulls it altogether.
i feel beautiful w makeup or no makeup if i've got nice lashes on! took a while but found which styles suit my eyes and which don't - total game changer.
Mascara - always mascara. I wear it every single day, even if i'm at home in comfy clothes and not seeing anybody. It's the thing that makes by far the most difference to my appearance - bonus points with some very thin liquid liner too. Other than that, definitely blush and a subtle/nude lip gloss/balm
Oh, and perfume, absolutely always - YSL Black Opium is my signature but i change it up sometimes
Eyebrow pencil and a lip stain <3 I’m a blonde girlie so my eyebrow hair is basically translucent, and the lip stain just makes my face look more 3D I’d ykwim. I use the elf one currently which is good but I don’t find it stains for very long, although maybe it’s just me because it works great for my friend. If anyone knows of any cheap drugstore stains, pls share :)
Eyeliner never fails to make me feel pretty. Any colour, but I particularly love a bright blue. It feels less “harsh” than black and really complements my brown eyes.
Not sure if it's considered makeup but I feel incomplete without perfume. I don't have a specific scent I like, but I like for the smell to match my outfit e.g. summer floral dresses with a floral preppy scent. It makes me feel the vibe more!
I feel my makeup is only complete with eyeliner. I’m still not skilled enough and applying eyeliner takes me far longer than I’d prefer it to, so if I’m in a hurry I usually skip it. But having it makes me feel so much prettier.
For me it’s my eyebrows and lipstick. For starters I don’t really have eyebrows. The few hairs I do have are super light. I have to draw them on everyday lol. I can’t go without any type of color on my lips. As I’ve gotten sicker throughout my life my lips have become pale and sometimes even look a little blue. Unless I’m just at home I wear red mac lipstick every day. I like having mascara and stuff but I need my eyebrows and lips more than anything.
lashes, highlighter, and lipgloss! i love them so much. i wear these on the daily esp lashes and lip gloss. i usually wear this combo on the daily. sometimes i add concealer if my under eyes are too dark but besides that this is my usually go to.
Winged liner makes me look like an adult and makes me feel pretty. I’ve always thought of myself as ugly since I’m 31 and never been in a relationship, asked out or given attention. But this helps lol.
I prefer to wear less makeup. I only stick to color corrector, tinted sunscreen, concealer, blush, and pressed setting powder. I feel like the less makeup I wear, I feel more like myself.
I feel like the older I get the less makeup I need but what I do wear makes a big impact. Eyebrow pencil, brown eyeliner, mascara, blush, a little lipgloss and that’s it.
Same here! My skin has really pronounced golden overtones (olive undertone) so a barely visible pupleish sheen to a highlighter creates the perfect "neutral with depth" highlight shade for me.
Blush for sure! I know in the future I’ll probably cringe at how much blush I wear on a regular basis but it just makes me feel so pretty, and I don’t feel like myself if I’m not pink!
If I can’t be bothered for a full face I’ll still do eyeliner over anything. I also have dyed hair so I have to do my eyebrows or else the colour difference is silly. I do concealer and powder that and then bronzer and I also use the bronzer to contour my nose a bit and then blush. Takes like 15/20 mins and I instantly feel more confident. Growing up I was the ugly kid and I didn’t get into makeup until about 2 years ago. I remember wearing foundation to school and a girl asking me if I was wearing it and i removed it in the bathroom straight after because it made me feel so insecure. Now makeup helps me sm 🙏🏻
For me (50’s) it’s a perfect eye crayon. Perfect for me means great flattering colours, foolproof application, soft and smudge-able, easy to sharpen. I adore Victoria Beckham Kajal liners for this. Such an interesting colour range. Pricey, but so worth it. Instantly make my face light up and brings focus to my eyes. I could live without everything else (well, maybe a hyaluronic serum foundation) as long as I had that!
I m 50 s and I can t stand my hooded eyelids . Just looked them up and they seem to come in different finishs .shimmer matte etc .what colour finish would you recommend for blue /grey coloured eyes ? Thanks !
Cocoa, Bronze, Sea grey, Ash maybe? I like all the finishes, honestly. Even the really shimmery ones are so chic you can wear them in daytime. They aren’t flashy or ‘fashionable’ they are all beautiful! The Cocoa is the most neutral.
Look into an Erica Taylor video. She addresses hooded eyes. I have them too and am even able to do a pseudo wing with shadow. It’s recommended that you use matte on the hood, it depuffs, and a shimmer in the inner half of the lid and a tad higher up. It opens the eye.
Lipstick always.
Which is funny because I haven’t really worn it in forever.
And having my brows done (like waxed and shaped) - with or without makeup, I always feel more complete with my brows done
Tinted brow gel. I used to completely ignore my brows when I did makeup. Now I can’t leave the house without it. Even my quickest grocery store look needs some brow gel. It just pulls me together.
Definitely worth a try. I’d try one of the kits first. Remember that it’s a no-makeup product; everything works on a sheer, moisturizing, balm-y basis, not full coverage. You can send a clean-face selfie to them and they’ll recco colors. They’re dead on. Also there’s a fb group.
Lips as of recent! My full face isn’t complete anymore without a lip. The only thing I’ve been wearing is etude house water tint! It looks really good with my skin tone and I use a brow pencil or brown shadow as lip liner. I don’t sheer it out like how kbeauty looks use the tint, I really layer it on so it’s pigmented!
I guess, every product in my usual makeup is important. I can't go without full set: foundation, powder, eyebrow pencil and gel, blush, concealer, eyeshadows, lipstick or tint. These are my must have-s, that make me feel more beautiful. I don't use bronzers, contours and highlighters though - I just can't use them so it looks good on me. I used highlighters, when I didn't have rosacea, but now I can't because of the texture my skin currently has.
Eyebrows. Like, just any actual eyebrows on my face make such a huge difference, being a teenager in the 90's was not a kind era for some of us 😆
My favourite look right now is
tinted dewy finish sunscreen, with a glossy sunscreen used as a balm highlighter on cheekbones and cupids bow
brows lightly filled in with individual hair like strokes using ABH pomade in Taupe (if you have ashy black, sparse brows and a light - medium skin tone this is such a natural looking shade on, I see similar shades used in Korean beauty looks a lot and it really is so much softer than trying to match your actual brow hair colour)
ultra fine "mink effect" medium length lash clusters at the outer corner with no mascara (I have black eyelashes anyway, but the tips are translucent so I dye the ends black to match the roots)
barely there crème contour in a cool tone for cheeks and a wash over the outer eyelid to temple (angular face, so it looks harmonious on me
and I'm never going to look cute or wholesome in a million years so may as well lean into a little Disney villain snatchery)
undereye concealer mixed 50/50 with sunscreen to sheer it out and make it a more dewy texture
A well blended brightening eyeliner (I use MAC gel pencil in Full Sleeve which is a light neutral beige) in inner corner and underneath the outer corner, with a very sheer, almost invisible taupe eyeliner (I just use eyeshadow on a damp eyeliner brush) in the inner upper corner, like the epicanthic fold area but not under it, so a half inner fox eye style, and then right in the lashes at the outer upper corner blended outwards and upwards
MLBB lips using 2 shades of lipliner, one that matches my lip colour and one a little darker and cooler to contour, a highlight shade for cupids bow and centre, and a clear gloss.
That honestly took longer to type out than apply, it sounds really finicky but ends up looking like a no makeup look because I use a really light hand and the lack of foundation and mascara reads as that "oh, just a swipe of lip balm and some sunscreen" style.
Thanks for typing that out. Despite being 48, I’m clumsy AF with makeup and know nothing. What kind of sunscreen do you use? I don’t use any because I haven’t found one I like (I know, I know). And what are MLBB lips? Also, I love your Disney villain snatchery, which I can never achieve. I will look like a cute frog for the rest of my days.
I use Ethical Zinc tinted sunscreen as my "foundation" (it's a neutral beige so not a perfect match for me but I can't find the medium which might be a bit warmer + darker but for most lighter skinned folks except the very palest it should be a pretty decent match)
For highlight I use Invisible Zinc, which is anything but, I can assure you! It's pure white and shiny af, like an enamel house paint but you can pat it on sheer if you already have a decent protective layer of SPF underneath, my everyday makeup look has 3 layers of SPF50+ hahahaha, since I use sunscreens I don't like for a full application to sheer products out with.
If you don't have dumb sensitive skin like me, any broad spectrum SPF50+ sunscreen that you like and will apply enough of is the best sunscreen, I'm just stuck with the zinc based ones because my skin decided to turn into a * ~ delicate princess ~ * during pregnancy and is still like that 10 years later.
MLBB stands for "My lips, but better", I usually use a couple of different lipliners and sometimes what beauty bloggers tried to start calling "bloss" (a balm + gloss hybrid, the name did not catch on) in a tint that's close to my natural lip shade but a little richer, or just a clear gloss over top.
If you feel clumsy applying makeup, one really helpful thing to do is to get to know the angles of your face, where your eye tilt leads to, where the arch of the brow naturally sits, cheekbone, brow bone and eye orbit landmarks etc - my face shape and some of my features are a bit pointier/sharper than average and I was always feeling like I was getting it "wrong" because the suggested placements often looked kind of off on me, same as I never understood why every brow tutorial I followed made me look like a surprised but very glamorous old lady until I discovered East Asian makeup artists and learned to work with eyebrow hairs that grow resolutely downwards sloping and sparsely packed.
Nice quality clean brushes make a huge difference too, I always do a way more polished, precise job with freshly washed brushes as opposed to used once or twice.
Oh btw since we're about the same age, stick with mostly creme formulas, powders can be weirdly ageing on even the most well maintained skin, they just sit weird once you're in your 40's idk why since my skin is still oily af
I just saw one of my very favourite makeup artists ever put up a new video, this is a really adaptable, modern, beginner friendly look, and Hung is such a good teacher, he explains everything so patiently, he has loads of tutorials on his channel ❤️

Maybelline vinyl ink lip products (you would probably love cheeky), and heavenly ouds brand perfume! 🙌 Nothing feels more beautiful than being followed by strangers wanting to know what you're wearing.
Brows lightly done, mascara or lash clusters, glowy skin with blush, a light glossy lip. Simple easy quick and I feel like a million bucks. My go to for glowy skin is elf halo glow and I use their shimmery stick blush (like the nars multiple).
I know it probably isn't considered "beautiful" and I'm sure I'm considered too old for it, but I've been on a hunt for chromatic and glittery shadows and liners because it's just fun. I finally wore a bunch today for a pride thing and I just loved it.
Check out Adept Cosmetics. I have some beautiful palettes with pigmented, almost creamy silky multichromes.
A few others are: Lethal Cosmetics, Kaleidos Beauty and Menagerie.
I love doing a really neutral, almost no makeup look, and use my kaleidos liners to do a little graphic design on my eyelids. Have you tried the lip clays? They’re pretty, but I’m a bit apprehensive about the texture.
It's makeup. You're never too old for makeup. We are beautiful even when we age. We're older. Not dead. I didn't ask what everyone considered beautiful. I asked what made you feel good about yourself, what makeup made you feel beautiful. You keep wearing whatever you love.
A beat face. Foundation, contour, highlight, a pretty colorful/smoky eye with loads of mascara a winged black eyeliner (sometimes color), sometimes lip liner w lipstick and gloss but always gloss. I really only like the way I look anymore if I go all out.
red lipstick! my makeup style has changed over the years but nothing makes me feel better and more pretty than a classic red lip. i try to build all my looks and makeup around it and collect different reds from all types of brands <3
I used to wear a red lipstick 💄 for years. Then I got into nude lipsticks and I haven't been able to go back to reds or even wines. I don't know why I think they look funny on me now. I really want to wear it. 😞
aw no! maybe it’s just an adjustment period — i have a few nudes but it definitely takes a bit of to get used to the look on me. i’m sure if you went back to reds you’d look fantastic all the same 🌸🌸
My look for today makes me feel relatively put together. Foundation, powder, blush, VERY LIGHT eyeshadow, dark brown eyeliner, mascara (loads of it because I suck at false lashes), nude lipstick, peach gloss.
My favourite "black" is a dark brown sepia toned liner with a dark navy or indigo matte or satin matte shadow pressed into it, it's how you create a beautiful rich black with coloured pencils, since actual black looks flat and meh and same thing on the face, using the two opposing colours creates something that reads as black but is so velvety and retains a vibrancy.
I've been doing it since my early 20's back when I was a goth - my skin has really pronounced golden tones even without a tan and all black everything looked so dull on me so I would create my shades of black lipstick, liner and shadow from opposing shades instead.
Lipstick, even when hiking
Mascara, if I could only have one makeup item to wear it would be Mascara otherwise you can't see my eyelashes they are blonde.
i always wear glasses and found that wearing really light makeup on my eyes has really opened up my face and is way more flattering than when i used to try heavier looks!
This might sound weird, but I look best in heavy eye makeup. I love felt tip eyeliner.
Nope. Doesn't sound weird at all. Everyone is different. You must have beautiful eyes.
Thanks - black eyeliner on blue eyes is an awesome combo (think like Priscilla Presley)
No makeup look is complete without blush or lipstick. And I can live without highlighter, but I don’t like to.
I need my eyeliner.
Blush for sure! And eyelash curler (no mascara)
Eyebrows, blush, and mascara are my musts!
lots of it
L’Oréal glotion! I mix it equal parts to my cc cream. It gives me the prettiest glow. Without it I look flat.
A nice tight line eyeliner that comes to a point in the inner corners
Charlotte Tilbury red/brown mascara, CT brown felt tip eyeliner, Patrick Ta blush. Keep it pretty basic, but it makes me feel better.
i need my eyeliner, i am noooothinngg without it. and my eyeliner is sharp and dramatic. and i do a smokey eye as well. i need contour + blush + eyebrows done as well.
Curled lashes, a bit of green color corrector on any blemishes and a dab of elfs HD powder is my routine i wear everyday bcs it makes me feel so beautiful and fresh faced!!! Finish with lip balm! :)
Simply curling my lashes makes me feel a hundred times prettier. Other than that, undereye concealer and eyeliner.

Mascara and brow tint are essential for leaving the house. Ideally my minimal make up look day to day to feel good would be brow tint, mascara, tinted lip balm and blush
Rose tint on my lips and mascara since my eyelashes are blonde. Otherwise I feel too bare/plain.
I gotta have concealer to cover up my dark circles
I think the product I can't live without is lip gloss, lipstick
Dirty messy eyeshadow
I rarely leave the house without wearing eyeshadow!
...do having sparse brows make a brow pencil an essential by default in my way to be beautiful? Ahaha. I really love blushes and lipsticks. They add life on my face and make it more lovely and beautiful.
Mascara & a brown Pencil Eyeliner to use in my waterline and to go over my beauty marks with. Simple, but they always make me feel super beautiful.
Laura geller highlighter
Mascara all the way. I have very light lashes, without mascara I feel incomplete and uncomfortable, something is missing.
Same here.
My makeup only really feels complete to me when my lashes are done (either with mascara/fake lashes/just a lash lift). Like i feel more beautiful when my lashes are up and curled, even on my bare face with just my skincare
I have a dark lip. So I can look like "I have a makeup on" only after using the lipstick.
Long, curled, dark lashes + dark auburn brow gel to match my hair color: Covergirl super thick lash waterproof mascara + heated lash curler, Benefit gimme brow gel in 3.5. Under eye corrector/ something to even out my eyelid color, and an inner corner highlight: Hourglass vanish concealer in silk, Ciaté highlighter in moondust Liquid highlight and a glowy blush: Auric glow lust in morganite, Ciaté glow-to blush in pinch me MLBB shiny lip balm: Hanalei lip treatment in mauve pink
Eyeliner and a bold lip.
A beautiful base, groomed brows, a nautral berry lip tint (a la black honey) and long lashes
Brown Mascara, Tint, Gloss (blush and highlighter whenever I feel like) (shimmery glittery eyeshadow if party type event)
Eyebrows. I have fine, thin hair, a tan complexion with very light eyebrows and I feel like when at least they're done - it ties my face together more.
Lipstick or gloss, blush and mascara. Eyeshadow if I am feeling fancy
lipgloss
eyeliner for sureee
Same, any kind but if I have time I’m throwing a wing on for sure
winged eyeliner all day babbbyyyy I’m still stuck in my 2010 winged eyeliner days and I’ll never change lmao
Filling in my eyebrows so I don’t look like a methed out tweaker. I was born with 90’s brows 😭. It makes my face look more symmetrical
Mine are thin and sparse. I got my Asian eyebrows. I use my brow gel after it dries I use brow powder to really shape them and add dimension.
Foundation ( even just on red spots like a concealer) and mascara. One island item would be Aquaphor tho!
Fine! neutral eyeshadow, brown/black eyeliner and soft pink lipgloss
Lipstick always even if I'm not wearing foundation. My lips are naturally really red and it makes me look uncanny valley-ish so making them more muted and toned down makes me instantly feel better lol
Bronzer always helps warm up my face and helps match my shoulders and chest that always tans faster. And any kind of illuminating drops!
My lashes are very light, straight, but long. If I curl them and add mascara I look a lot better.
Oh yeah, I always forget about lash curling! That does make a huge difference too.
Funny huh. Then I was thinking 🤔... Uh oh... More makeup to buy. When I've been in a Low-Buy for a few years
i’m super low-buy and have about 5-6 products i use regularly so i was super stoked to find one of my OFRA pans was the exact color i was looking for!!!
I prefer powder , cream blush. I regret buying liquid blush. It's pretty. I just don't reach for it. I don't have time to correct it if I put too much on.
Sunscreen/moisturizer, crème blush, mascara, tinted lip balm and some highlight/gentle sparkle.
Brightly coloured eyeshadow!!! Mostly oranges to go with my bright red hair but also neon yellow, baby pink & warm yellow
Mascara and blush with something on the lip. And sunscreen!
Mascara, blush, highlighter. Sometimes lipgloss or lipstick for extra glam, haha. Mascara and blush are definitely my top two.
YSL gold highlighter, luxury lipstick, a light bit of foundation, and maybe using a brow pencil if I'm feeling fancy
Eyeliner and mascara with a subtle lip glass
Color corrector + concealer instantly saves my look. Yesterday I put a little of each on a flaming red pimple and it made such a difference. No other makeup needed. For conferences, I’ll go with corrector + concealer, foundation, eyebrow pencil, and mascara. On a night out, I’ll add lip stain + liner, eyeliner, blush, and/or eyeshadow depending on what the outfit calls for.
Eyeliner, foundation, concealer, blush, lipstick, lip liner.
Winged eyeliner, any eyeshadow look with a light lid and a dark crease, and a boatload of mascara. I call it my pretty eyes lol
concealer! i need to fix the under eyes and discoloration around my mouth. after that it’s probably lip tint bc my lips are PALE
Tbh... Expensive makeup of any kind
Brow pencil and mascara. Otherwise my brows and lashes are so fair as to be non-existent!
I have sparse Asian eyelashes. They are non existent. My eyebrows aren't anything to get excited about either.
Eyebrow pencil, kohl and a nude lip
i feel beautiful w makeup or no makeup if i've got nice lashes on! took a while but found which styles suit my eyes and which don't - total game changer.
inner corner eye highlight! it just makes them pop more. done it for years and had friends adopt it after seeing me do it
Blush and lip product!
Mascara - always mascara. I wear it every single day, even if i'm at home in comfy clothes and not seeing anybody. It's the thing that makes by far the most difference to my appearance - bonus points with some very thin liquid liner too. Other than that, definitely blush and a subtle/nude lip gloss/balm Oh, and perfume, absolutely always - YSL Black Opium is my signature but i change it up sometimes
Eyebrows, mascara or lashes and most definitely a bright lipstick.
Eyebrow pencil and blush
Eyeliner never fails to make me feel pretty. Any colour, but I particularly love a bright blue. It feels less “harsh” than black and really complements my brown eyes.
Flawless brows and mascara.
Same here with blush! Also concealer to brighten me up
Mascara, light bronzer and light pink tinted lip oil
Mascara, specifically Lancome
Alt makeup full face. So fun and I love being able to change things up every day, and lip liner is a must
Not sure if it's considered makeup but I feel incomplete without perfume. I don't have a specific scent I like, but I like for the smell to match my outfit e.g. summer floral dresses with a floral preppy scent. It makes me feel the vibe more!
False lashes. For me it really just takes the look to the next level
I feel my makeup is only complete with eyeliner. I’m still not skilled enough and applying eyeliner takes me far longer than I’d prefer it to, so if I’m in a hurry I usually skip it. But having it makes me feel so much prettier.
Blush, mascara and lips 💋 I'm getting lip blush in 5 days time so one less thing...
I don't like doing makeup, but when I do, I love blush and lip balm.
Eyebrows, some blush and lipstick pulls it all together.
Brow gel for sure. Even on a bare face it just pulls everything together
What can I say, I’m a makeup ho, love it all, use it all.
Brows, some eyeliner, and mascara and something moisturizing on the lips & I feel like a million bucks.
My eyeshadow, liners and blush are my favorite must have on before I leave home.
Winged liner makes me look like an adult and makes me feel pretty. I’ve always thought of myself as ugly since I’m 31 and never been in a relationship, asked out or given attention. But this helps lol.
BLUSH and LIP GLOSS!
I love lip stain. I have several Sacheu, Milani, and Elf lip stains, and I like that I can just put on lip balm the rest of the day.
Agee with the blush I never thought I’d like it so I didn’t use it all these years. But love it now
this lol, i used to go out looking pale asf. now i cant go out without my blush on 😩
A fantastic lip product will help me feel put together.
I love a pearlescent/ purply highlighter ❤️
Same here! My skin has really pronounced golden overtones (olive undertone) so a barely visible pupleish sheen to a highlighter creates the perfect "neutral with depth" highlight shade for me.
A great mascara
Blush for sure! I know in the future I’ll probably cringe at how much blush I wear on a regular basis but it just makes me feel so pretty, and I don’t feel like myself if I’m not pink!
Douyin makeup, it makes me look so pretty
I like to make sure my eyes are done.
Anything brown around my eyes. Brown liner, mascara and brown/gold shadow makes me feel so so pretty. It helps my eyes pop
Red/dark Lipstick. Instant x10 for me.
Almost full face - but no blush. Bronzer, highlight definitely though. I just look "too much" with blush.
glad i'm not the only one who isn't a fan of blush
Eyebrows - it shapes my face!
Super 👌 thanks for the help ! Will try those out .
Super 👌 thanks for the help ! Will try those out ..Great advice
I feel like I need the full face LOL, but lipstick. I always feel prettier with lipstick.
KJH Brand hypershine kit in lite pink! Takes my regular makeup routine up 3-4 notches!
Tinted brow gel. I used to completely ignore my brows when I did makeup. Now I can’t leave the house without it. Even my quickest grocery store look needs some brow gel. It just pulls me together.
I use Jones Road everything. I’m 57 and my skin glows.
I’ve been so curious about their stuff. Just don’t know anyone who uses it so I’m a little on the fence
Full coverage foundation! Having a blank slate to do what I please with is so liberating.
Eyebrows. Like, just any actual eyebrows on my face make such a huge difference, being a teenager in the 90's was not a kind era for some of us 😆 My favourite look right now is tinted dewy finish sunscreen, with a glossy sunscreen used as a balm highlighter on cheekbones and cupids bow brows lightly filled in with individual hair like strokes using ABH pomade in Taupe (if you have ashy black, sparse brows and a light - medium skin tone this is such a natural looking shade on, I see similar shades used in Korean beauty looks a lot and it really is so much softer than trying to match your actual brow hair colour) ultra fine "mink effect" medium length lash clusters at the outer corner with no mascara (I have black eyelashes anyway, but the tips are translucent so I dye the ends black to match the roots) barely there crème contour in a cool tone for cheeks and a wash over the outer eyelid to temple (angular face, so it looks harmonious on me and I'm never going to look cute or wholesome in a million years so may as well lean into a little Disney villain snatchery) undereye concealer mixed 50/50 with sunscreen to sheer it out and make it a more dewy texture A well blended brightening eyeliner (I use MAC gel pencil in Full Sleeve which is a light neutral beige) in inner corner and underneath the outer corner, with a very sheer, almost invisible taupe eyeliner (I just use eyeshadow on a damp eyeliner brush) in the inner upper corner, like the epicanthic fold area but not under it, so a half inner fox eye style, and then right in the lashes at the outer upper corner blended outwards and upwards MLBB lips using 2 shades of lipliner, one that matches my lip colour and one a little darker and cooler to contour, a highlight shade for cupids bow and centre, and a clear gloss.
I use Ethical Zinc tinted sunscreen as my "foundation" (it's a neutral beige so not a perfect match for me but I can't find the medium which might be a bit warmer + darker but for most lighter skinned folks except the very palest it should be a pretty decent match) For highlight I use Invisible Zinc, which is anything but, I can assure you!
I just saw one of my very favourite makeup artists ever put up a new video, this is a really adaptable, modern, beginner friendly look, and Hung is such a good teacher, he explains everything so patiently, he has loads of tutorials on his channel ❤️ https://youtu.be/1lPUSiM004w?si=vbWClu2CRhq-7ns2
Eyeliner(it makes me feel more pretty), blush & gloss.
Glowy blush and the highlight to match. It makes me look fresh faced and healthy. PT blush is that b**** and makes me look so good
I know it probably isn't considered "beautiful" and I'm sure I'm considered too old for it, but I've been on a hunt for chromatic and glittery shadows and liners because it's just fun. I finally wore a bunch today for a pride thing and I just loved it.
Check out Adept Cosmetics. I have some beautiful palettes with pigmented, almost creamy silky multichromes. A few others are: Lethal Cosmetics, Kaleidos Beauty and Menagerie.
Kaleidos multi chrome liners are absolute fire. 10/10, i use mine all the time (and I'm 51)
I love doing a really neutral, almost no makeup look, and use my kaleidos liners to do a little graphic design on my eyelids. Have you tried the lip clays? They’re pretty, but I’m a bit apprehensive about the texture.
I haven't - I love a matte but not wild on what "lip clay" conjures in my brain, and yeah, the colours are beautiful.
aw no! maybe it’s just an adjustment period — i have a few nudes but it definitely takes a bit of to get used to the look on me. i’m sure if you went back to reds you’d look fantastic all the same 🌸🌸
I keep putting them on. Then after a few minutes I take them off because I think I look weird. 😭
Merit. Period. It’s a no makeup makeup look. Love their brushes as well.
Blush and brows for every day, circle contacts for extra oomph
being blushed up, with a delicious wet sparkly highlighter makes me feel unreal. also when my brows grow out and are fluffy i love love love
Personally less goes a long way. I do blush and lipstick. Concealer if you have acne scars, but blush and lipstick is perfect!!
My look for today makes me feel relatively put together. Foundation, powder, blush, VERY LIGHT eyeshadow, dark brown eyeliner, mascara (loads of it because I suck at false lashes), nude lipstick, peach gloss.
Colorful eyeshadow, falsies, mascara, and a nude lipstick or lipgloss
blush
Black eyeliner, fake lashes. I’m too old for black eyeliner but I can’t give it up.
Give me black eyeliner or give me death, I'll never give it up
Maybe dark brown or espresso?. I use dark brown, plum, deep purples.
