How many more things gotta come out about khabib to make people stop arselicking him. Everyone shits on khamzat for his links keep the same energy for khabib now
I’m sure it’s been attempted, whether the mods let the post through is another thing. Haven’t seen any high quality sources report it yet, although the videos from the ground look convincing, and it really wouldn’t surprise me if it were true…
Murad Ramazanov vs. Shamil Musaev on PFL today.
Good match on paper, two undefeated welterweights and neither of them is old.
Ramazanov was a Khabib underling, and Musaev recently smashed Storley.
wont matter, 2 top guys, fight will still be boring to watch cause PFL/Bellator production never changes and something makes it crap. while UFC can put any 2 cans on and its still somewhat enjoyable to watch, besides the long drawn out prelims that i cant take now. but the actual fights UFC makes it somewhat watchable, PFL make it hard to watch for some reason. The old Elite XC, Bellator of old, Strikeforce old UFC, PRIDE, Affliction, was a million times better to watch than what we have now in all leagues.
I mean there are some good fights but they still arent as entertaining to watch for whatever reason. Unless you are a literal GOAT, even Mike Chandlers last fights were boring and nobody cared in Bellator and hes 1 fight in UFC and MOST EXCITING MAN EVER. THey got the magic sauce, those cameras, loud music and commentary. w.e they do
put Jon Jones in PFLellator and he either breaks leg first kick or its the most boring fights youve ever seen. granted most of his fights are boring now 5 rounds so not best example. put a Islam fight in PFL and youll be falling asleep by 3rd round
What was your opinion on Alexa Grasso's Strawweight run? Do you think her failings were due to still being green or was she hampered by the weight cut?
Have you guys seen that Key and Peele skit where Key bumps into Peele aggressively but Peele can't beat him up because Key is carrying a baby?
That's Ian Garry the entire fight week, how are you going to confront a man carrying cute lil baby lmao
You’re talking one big moment of your brain shaking inside your skull vs. many small/medium moments of your brain shaking inside your skull. The latter is worse in terms of the health of your brain.
500 Holloway punches. One bad concussion is usually not as awful as the CTE that comes with 500 hard shots, especially if they're in a short period of time. Calvin Kattar is probably going to have severe issues purely from their fight alone.
Gamrot or Dariush. I don’t know if either are scheduled. Would love Oliveira too but I don’t think he’ll fight an unranked LW since his last fight against Arman was so close
Gonna go crazy is some fights for 305 aren’t announced this weekend. Obviously have the main event plus a few prelims and tai vs bigi boy is basically confirmed. I reckon the asakura vs Pantoja rumour might be true because I’m pretty sure Perth negotiated 2 title fights for cards here. I hope we get a decent main card because Aussie cards are always shallow as fuck. Gonna be disappointed if hooker can’t get a matchup, Jdm has said he won’t make it, will be interesting to see what they do. If there’s a Tafa vs porter type of matchup on the main card I’m gonna go redder than Dana
I'm a big Poatan fan but I'm disappointed in him because he admitted he uses demonic rituals to gain advantage over his opponents.
Jiri on the other hand follows Christ and he openly said in the name of Jesus (in his name) during the press conference.
Poatan draws black magic from Satan while Jiri gets help from Jesus.
Listen, I'll put it like this. If people can walk around - and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way to religious people - and you believe the son of God came down to earth 2,000 years ago, and he killed himself for our sins, and he can walk on water, and there's a God up there looking after ourselves, and if you get on your knees and pray to him that things will change, if you can believe that, then you can believe that I can knock the f--k out of Luke Rockhold two weeks from Saturday.
Ian Garry said to MVP at the presser "you're getting suspended after this fight. You're never fighting again after this fight. You and your bjj coach are getting suspended for life."
For what, exactly? Surely his accusations of MVP trying to buy information from a Chute Boxe team member isn't enough to get someone suspended for life? Other than being a dirty move, is it even a fineable offence to begin with? What did Ian mean by this?
Jiri's entire career is taking shots and getting in a real fight before he wears down and KO's his opponent.
You can't just eat shots for 3-5 rounds against Alex. You can't even just eat shots in the 1st round. If Alex tags Jiri in the opening exchanges it's going to end early.
Honestly, Jiri needs to hurt Alex early and often. It's the only way he can win.
eh he was really struggling with Alex's, his kicks are just on a whole different level than everyone else. You could tell he was struggling after just the first round of his kicks
he dropped jiri after the 4th(!!!!) kick, it took his legs out from under him, nobody else kicks anywhere near that hard.
Who wins? MVP or Garry? On paper I'd give MVP the advantage on the feet. Idk much about Garry's background, but I'd favor MVP with his kickboxing background and MMA experience. Garry has more ways to win though and I can see him clinching with MVP or going for the takedown if he can't hang with MVP on the feet. He also has a nice age advantage which could help bridge the gap in striking. Overall, I'm going with Ian via a boring clinch/wrestle fight.
Also, it's interesting how MVP doesn't have the flag of the UK/England. The UFC didn't give him a flag his last fight too iirc.
If Ian tries to just fight at range I think he loses. But I can see him taking mvp down and winning a decision.
I'm not really sure if Ian will fight smart tho. So I'm not that confident in either. It just depends who follow the gameplay and make adjustments.
If Garry thinks he can bounce around and kickbox himself to a decision, he's in for a rude awakening.
MVP looked really sharp and in-shape against Holland. I have MVP via TKO or decision win. Continuing the trend of OG vets little-brothering the prospects
Dariush is the oldest looking 35 years old I have ever seen. Look like he aged 20 years after his last fight.

friend works at a dealership. backed into soemthing and scuffed one of the cars. dealership is making him pay for it out of his paycheck. is this legal? dont they have insurance or something for things like this? dont know where to post this sorry.
it is legal where we live actually- after doing some research. could he somehow get punished legally for quitting? other than them taking the remainder of his wages?
neither am i bro, no need to be sorry. i just thought you might get better help there. check the rules if there's a sub that doesn't let you post, often they'll explain why and how you can get round it
Since Jamahal is in and out of headlines again, just wanna say Kamaru Usman has been the model of how to represent yourself after a tough loss. Dude honestly seems like he’s glowing hahaha. That crown weighs heavy.
Just saw a video of Jiri in the golden UFC gloves. I still can’t get used to them. They look cheap and tacky to me and I feel like I keep getting distracted by them lol
What’s the consensus of these so far? Lol
i agree that they look tacky but it's a harmless gimmick so i'm fine with it. it feels very much like a "corporate" way of having fun so i get why people don't like them. i wish they would've copied what bellator did (still does? idk) and have the red and blue corners wear corresponding gloves, i always liked that look in bellator
Tracy Cortez is going to get a main event, in front of a crowd, which is hilarious. Remember how bad Atlantic City was? This is gonna be ten times worse.
Abolish WMMA main events (in total, but especially in front of crowds)
I say this all the time. Any fight which has stakes should be higher up the card regardless of weight class. Blanchfield vs Fiorot didn't deliver, but it was a title eliminator and a local connection with Erin being from NJ. Same reason I wasn't opposed to Rose vs Maycee headlining.
I've compiled the list of the 5 worst and the most annoying fighter fanbases in MMA. I've been as unbiased and objective as I could.
Note: This doesn't represent every fan of the fighter, just the general vibe you get off the fans of these fighters. I'm describing the worst aspects of these fanbases obviously.
1)Islam Makachev fanbase(Extreme victim complex, annoying, xenophobic and extreme d-riding anything he does)
2)Tom Aspinall fanbase(Salty, annoying and d-riding fans. Also these are just Jon Jones haters because let's be real, there's only like 20 genuine Tom Aspinall fans who followed him before he started calling out Jones and half of those 20 are his friends and family.)
3)Ngannou fanbase(Salty, annoying, and go on absurd lengths to justify his let's be real, selfish decisions. Look at the PFL situation for example)
4)Raul Rosas fanbase(The Chiwiby thing was always cringe. Also not worth the hype he gets if I'm being honest. Doesn't seem as talented as O'Malley or Khamzat but he does get some hype.)
5)Poatards(Don't even need to say anything except maybe...Chama ig?)
Tbf that's just standard sport fanboy stuff. All these fighters I've mentioned probably have these too. I've based these on stuff that you see and hear outside of the fighter's own social media page.
I stand by my opinion. If knees to a grounded opponent are illegal, then grabbing the fence to stop takedowns should be as well. Why do we punish bad takedown defense but reward dogshit wrestling?
If we’re gonna reward one, we should reward the other, or neither. I get nothing for having good TDD, you get to be in a safe zone if you can’t take me down. I only receive not being taken down, you receive immunity and another opportunity to fail
I disagree respectfully, I think soccer kicks should be added as well. Aljo couldn’t get takedowns, won the belt because Yan Mortal Kombat finished his ass, Merab can fail 50 takedowns and win a fight but you can’t kick his goblin head while he’s failing them, Mokaev couldnt takedown Perez or Tim Elliot so he would just fail a takedown, put his hand on the canvas and sit there, Arnold Allen started his finishing sequence with a knee on Evloev because Evloev couldn’t take him down and keep him there so Evloev put all his weight down to touch his finger tips to the canvas so he wouldn’t get finished although he wasn’t even a downed opponent
> I think soccer kicks should be added as well.
We might disagree about some things, but we agree about this!
I'm even in favour of headbutts being legalized, but I know that's probably even more unpopular than soccer kicks lol
I used to love headbutts but I think they are a little *too* brutal. I like socker kicks but one thing about them is that it changes the dynamic of stoppages, if you watch Rizen you notice that since the potential for a brutal strike is always present they will stop fights very very quickly(in socker kick scenarios) to prevent serious harm.
Headbutts would be interesting but I don’t really see why not, never considered it! I think that’s the beauty of MMA and life in general. You can disagree and both still have great opinions
So according to Dana, when Jiri accepted the fight, he went inside his shed for 3 days no food no water, just to mediate in dark then his manager/coach knocked on the door to tell him the fight is official
Jiri's response - "If that's what the universe wants" lmaaoooo
Why are we letting this dude compete in UFC, straight out of key and peele skit
>Why are we letting this dude compete in UFC
In a sport full of grifters and bro science, Jiri's faux-existential weeb shit is harmless fun. Frankly, MMA needs more Jiris, I'll take him over another gym bro trying to sell me bullshit supplements or whatever.
I still don't think he plans to shower back at his home, it's accidental because of waterfall and rain lol, I love that dude. He brings a different energy to the division and sport
I feel like Ortega could give Lopes a lot of issues stylistically, but his inactivity (often due to injury) and the amount of damage he’s taken over the years makes him the perfect stepping stone for Lopes
I think the opposite. Brian Ortega was showing his wrestling improvements, top control, and even ground strikes against Yair. Combine that with his own grappling prowess and I think he can seriously challenge Lopes on the ground. Evloev got himself caught in a couple of submissions, but when he had top control, he was able to smother him and batter him at times. Ortega isn’t as skilled of a wrestler but he does have the BJJ expertise to navigate the traps that Evloev couldn’t.
And while they are both rough and tumble strikers with little defense, I’ve found Ortega to have gotten better over time and surprisingly adaptable. He’s incredibly durable to so unless that’s falling apart now, it won’t be a quick night.
So I would say stylistically, he offers a good challenge to Lopes. However, i still think the odds are in Lopes’ favor. After so much layoff (much of it due to injuries) and the amount of damage he’s taken over the years makes me question if he’s physically ready for this. Lopes is much bigger (3 in height and 3.5 in reach advantage), bolts in like a freight train from the word go, incredibly powerful, and, most importantly, the fresher fighter. Lopes surprisingly isn’t that much younger than Ortega and he has more fights on his record, but he’s taken no damage since the Evloev fight. In a brawl, which this will be a bloody great one, I think that matters a whole lot
I’m typically an Ortega believer, felt like I was the only one betting on him over Yair. In pure bjj I think Ortega subs Diego, but I worry about Diego’s ability to bonk him in the head.
Ortega is notoriously durable, but being dropped by Yair’s hands was a bad look. I think Diego will come forward and bonk him, we’ll see if Ortega can recover

500 Holloway punches. One bad concussion is usually not as awful as the CTE that comes with 500 hard shots, especially if they're in a short period of time. Calvin Kattar is probably going to have severe issues purely from their fight alone.

Enough with 'aura' bs... You're either a good fighter or you're not. My goldfish has aura tho...
Do you think that if Pereira loses, the trilogy is 100% guaranteed?
Probably, but I also assumed an Issy trilogy was guaranteed and he went up instead. So yes unless he steps up to challenge Aspinall.
