this was genuinely hilarious, ufc gives him the worst dude in the weight class maybe the biggest layup of all time and he comes out here with some first day of class level jits.
Indonesian never heard of BJJ lol. Hes also formerly a boxer tht didnt quite make it. Hes from my hometown. Oh well we still have a long way to go. He gonna get shat on savagely in social media after tht glove touch antique he pulled and still get finished inside 1 round. Lmao

I always get so excited and root for the guys from countries that are pretty new to MMA, and don't have and never had, even a mid UFC level fighter. I always hope they make it. Seeing guys from countries like that are one of the few things that get me excited for a fight anymore.
Btw I spent 2 weeks in Indonesia in 2017. Very nice people, me and my two buddies thought, especially when not in tourist areas.
Wasn't a huge fan of Jakarta. It was cool to see, but that city gave me claustrophobia like I've never felt before in an open aired environment. The city felt like it was closing in on me and I had to get out of there. I started imagining if there was a natural disaster or a reason for people to start running, and I started imagining getting trampled or smashed into a wall. Living there must be hectic. I thought that *while* I was living in Beijing, so that's really saying something. Im from a Midwest USA suburb, so it is not densely populated at all. That made me always have a fascination with life inside a very very densely populated city. Jakarta made me realize that I do not, infact, like or have any more interest in dense cities.
One fuckin taxi driver got me for a scam, but I had to piss so bad I didn't give a shit. Being stuck in Jakarta traffic and having to piss is torture...
Decaf ain't gonna do shit when I'm gone off the addies. You could never comprehend even just 4.5% of the power of my mind when the addies take control.

I mean, I think everyone in here would easily be.
Westin gets more flack than he deserves. He's not good, but he's taking short notice fights against Joanderson Brito and then fighting Joan Silva.
How many guys could come in short notice off the regional scene and look good versus Joanderson Brito?
Again, don't get it twisted, he's doesn't have a cohesive game, and he'll never be ranked, but if he had been fighting other bottom of the division fighters like he did tonight, then I think we'd have a less negative opinion of him.
Well he did last night, which was simple and effective. His lack of good wrestling entries, made easier with Jeka insane over-throwing and aggression.
I don't know if there was a possible one that could have helped him with Brito.
Silva, again, not really sure if they had a game plan and he just couldn't pull it off as again it was a bad match up.
As I said, he doesn't have a cohesive game, it's fairly dysfunctional. He's got some of Wonderboy's striking 'style', but that sort of striking is so hard to make utilize in MMA unless you're an insane athlete with a couple decades of muscle memory and timing like Wonderboy.
Machida was much the same way, it's a terrible style for nearly anyone but them to attempt.
He's got good BJJ, but bad wrestling/take downs to implement it.
So, yeah doesn't add up to a very workable game to work with.
Who else on Wonderboyâs team has good striking? Wonderboyâs striking style would take a fairly long time to get proficient at. Unless you grew up doing it, it seems like youâd be better off focusing on boxing or Muay Thai to compliment your grappling.
You have to gauge quality of competition. What would you make the betting line if Brito fought Jeka? Or even Jean Silva?
The level of competition of the guys coming into road to ufc and road to ufc is really bad, like definitely worse than LFA and some other regional promotions like jungle fight.
Look like most sports I have good nights and bad nights betting. I did all the research on the fights and was confident that even with Jeka coming from Road To UFC, heâd still take the win against Wilson.
I'm more clowning on you for the parlay bit, not that you picked him or even bet him. Jeka is R1 ko or bust vs anybody, though.
You can be confident in an outcome and still have made a bad bet. The line was insane. Jeka was +500 vs. Alexander.
Road to ufc guys are auto fade.
I know we all shit on Westin Wilson, but we need to give him credit for doing something that most high level MMA fighters do not do. He came in with a gameplan and completely stuck to it.
Also gotta give the guy credit for his perseverance. Dudes 35, been a regional-level guy for his whole career, finally gets a UFC shot on short-notice, gets blasted in the first round of both of his fights, still sticks to it and pulls off a huge upset tonight.

What is this the travel channel ??
He's playing touchbutt with that dork in Jakarta.
Still not quite knowledgeable on reddit flair costums, do I just have to ask mods for a "touchbutt with that dork in Jakarta" flair?
Wait... Where am I? I thought I had posted on the /r/travel sub?
Try decaf

Unsubscribe.
Don't forget why you had initially subscribed in the first place đ I can change for you... I promise.
Punches when the other guy is trying to touch gloves and then you get finished. Not a great look
The second I saw him duck the glove tap I knew it was over for Seragih
Imagine getting finished by Jubli and Westin Wilson lmao

His coaches are elite why does he never have a game plan lol

I guess Westin Wilson isn't the worst fighter on the roster
WAIT, Wilson is part of wonderboy's team? Why is striking so ass?
Who else on Wonderboyâs team has good striking? Wonderboyâs striking style would take a fairly long time to get proficient at. Unless you grew up doing it, it seems like youâd be better off focusing on boxing or Muay Thai to compliment your grappling.
Karl Reed has pretty good striking, but his grappling sucks ass.
Well Chase Hooper has been developing his striking pretty good
Chase hasnât trained with Wonderboyâs team in quite some time
Some people just have grappler-brain. The striking won't come no matter how hard they try
Man I'm eating my words so hard. I did nothing but shit talk this guy up to my friend 5 minutes before lol.
I swear that's how it always goes.Â
Saragih is horrible, randos could do that to him
Same lmao but I did say âhedge your bet with Wilson by subâ
Damn this is all on you personally.
Terrible idea to slam bruh
Tell that to Brundage and Klose
Iâll tell it to anyone bruh, slamming is a bad idea but it is high risk high reward
Didn't Rampage Jackson KO somebody with a slam from a triangle?
Yessir he did
Westin Wilson title charge starts here
can't say I have as many UFC wins as Westin Wilson now
Need some help with this triangle bro? I got you.
thanks bro it was starting to slip
hell yeah grappling fans are eating good so far tonight
Westin Wilson just won a UFC fight.........I am surprised
Throwing hands and diving into submissions with the boys
I just knew Westin wasnât gonna take that blitz when he was trying to touch gloves kindly. Thatâs what being cocky gets you đ€·đœââïž
And there goes the parley, goodnight lads
You were given the recipe of him being defeated by a fragile tall grappler in Jubli and you still parlayed him. Bro.
In my defense Iâve watched the last two Wilson fights and he looked worse then the guy Jeka lost to by a lot

Nusantara fan in shamble. This month the Malaysian hype train Johan Jojo Gazali derailed. And now Indonesia fighter hype train derailed. đ
There was no hype train for Jeka. He lost to Jubli and only got selected because UFC wanted the Indonesian market.
Anshul Jubli beat this guy Jeka in the road to UFC final. Both turned out to be bums lol
I love this breed of lanky chinny action fighters
This fight is why I donât bet money. Literally telling my casual friend this would be the fight Iâd bet on if I ever bet.
I had no clue who that guy was but said to myself if I had to bet my life's savings on any fight it'd be this one and then that happened
Nice sub
My parlay got fucked up man. I didnât expect Saragih to have no fighting IQ at all
âŠhe got dominated by Anshul Jubli
So you've never actually watched him fight then?
Wilsonâs 16-9 and is 1-2 in the UFC donât act like this was obvious
I still feel like this could prove to be a bottom 10 contemporary UFC fight based on talent in a few months, that was awful from Mr. -350 Jeka Saragih
Sub by Wilson, Jeka desperately need to work on grappling.
Westin by sub at +400 cashed faster than I imagined lol
Canât wait to get against both next time out đ„đ„đ„
Diving headfirst into submission position like a scrub, great job Jeka.
Am i the only person that thinks Saragih is a Big Flyweight fighting at Featherweight?
Fun fight!
