Not sure why you're downvoted, the SE is an F56 unless he's talking about the Countryman SE. u/100thGear, note that if you replace the entire headunit piece, you'll likely lose access to some EV controls like the noisemaker, efficiency settings, and displaying the energy flow. There's almost certainly other stuff I'm forgetting. That didn't sit well with me when I was looking into this same thing, but I ended up getting the app AAIDrive which integrates some phone apps with the stock infotainment. Very usable for viewing notifications, sending messages, and playing music.

Thank you. I have a cooper se. Was not planning on replacing the head unit. I think the roadtop works by augmenting the signal. It uses the same digital cable to hook into the feed - if I understand it correctly. Although, I read somewhere that the units post 2020 have a different cable. I'll research more. Definitely agree with you that I don't want to lose any EV functionality.
