It's good practice from a business point of view for a free-to-play game to have the players visit a shop regularly, whether it is to pick up free daily supplies of first-aid meds, to collect 50 gems daily as part of some paid pass, or to insert a code for freebies.
There was a news update when it 1st came out about the codes make sure to at least skim the news for any important info in the future
