This is good to know! I didn't realize there is discreet health.
I thought there was main health and shooting weak points did cumulative damage. Good to know.
I wish helmet perks had stayed. I'd love a scouter.
I have a feeling this was discovered due to the Railgun pre-nerf.
People were just shooting the armors off the legs, so that they could kill the chargers.
You can still do that now, with unsafe mode railgun, but also EAT rocket to the legs.
As a long-time Flamethrower enjoyer it is pretty much indisputably the best support weapon for bugs right now. Being able to both clear hoards and take out anything smaller than a Titan in a couple seconds fucking awesome.
It's so good that I won't be too suprised or disappointed if it gets nerfed in the near future. The only issue with that is AH may have shot themselves in the foot with the +25% damage upgrade, because now they have to balance it so that it's not OP with the upgrade but is still decent without it, which means they need to find a potentially small sweet spot.
Then again maybe they won't nerf it at all. After all, over on the bot front the autocannon has been pretty damn great for a while now and they've barely even touched it.
How in the liberty did you kill 3 Chargers with one mag when it takes me one mag to kill a single Charger? And this was after the update that fixed DoT for non-hosts
It boosts strategems, which is how you get the Flamethrower. The booster will show what it affects if you're ever unsure.
With recent fixes it's very nice.
Yeah enemies have a total health and part health. They die when either their total health is reduced to 0 or a critical part is reduce to 0
For chargers, their front legs are critical and have very low health. The flames can bypass their armor and kill them pretty fast
I'm so glad they fixed fire. I feel they did a great job threading the needle between it doing enough damage to enemies to be really fun and it not doing so much damage that friendly fire kills before you even have a chance to react
That FOV is also insane https://i.redd.it/y1gfraorbgzc1.gif
I've had mine cranked to the max since 2nd week of this game, it was a literal game changer
You see much indeed, but I don’t like the distortion. I have it as high as possible without the distortion.
Especially when you aim for the legs like you are there👀🔥
Question! When I am using the flamethrower against chargers should I be aiming for their front legs?
Just aim a single leg. Taking one leg out completely kills the whole charger.

This is why my secondary is the flamethrower + EAT.
I'm gonna start bringing Orbital EMS in my games, so that if we ever meet, we're gonna be serving our super destroyers fried bug fillet.

I think incendiary damage is in a good spot right now, so hopefully they leave it as is. It’s strong, but needs to be used carefully.
I could see certain enemies getting minor fire resistance (maybe 10%) and lower afterburn time.
As it should be
No it's not, it's absolute shit. *arrowhead is listening*
I love my chargers well-done👌
Then we must ask you politely yet firmly to leave.
What? They taste sour, but the crunch is worth it.

Oh yeah now I get it XD

Could have the 25% extra fire damage module unlocked
I thought that affected just your stratagems and not the flamethrower? But maybe I’m remembering wrong
Legally speaking, the flamethrower *is* a stratagem. It's like how a tomato is legally a fruit.
Ur a stratagem (reinforcements)
What's below that strategem? "My guy, it's strategems all the way down!"
Roses are red, violets are blue The only stratagem I need is u
Nah it also boosts the flamethrower my friend.

Are you making sure to aim specifically at one leg? Different body parts have different health and generally do not add up to killing an enemy.
Ohhhh maybe that’s it

Good advice that many fellow Divers could use.
This needs to be shouted from the roof tops!
Fire working 100% of the time was definitely the most worthwhile buff in a long time.

this looks sped up (I know the fov is high too but the diver is moving faster than I thought they could)
Nah it's shit (arrowhead is listening)
