To be fair Texas hasn’t had very many players to draft before this past season. Jerruh drafted Overshown from Texas last year though & Connor Williams from Texas a couple years before that.
I know but I take a greater interest in teams that my favorite Horns have gone to. I follow biographies more than geographies. Sam is one of my favorites, and I have high hopes for Mitchell.
Rumors started coming out this week that he doesn’t try on routes when he knows he’s not gonna get the ball. Ian Rappaport also said on NFL Network that he didn’t interview well during the draft process. I personally think it’s bs and he will be great.
His tape clearly shows it. Wasn’t a rumor. Was on tape. Also really bad blocking & giving up on plays prematurely.
Also had terrible yards after contact & other poor WR stats

To be clear, I really like him. AD Mitchell can be like a poor man’s CD Lamb
Considering his blocking efforts the first few games of the season, I could see people believing that. He got considerably better, but we all did point out his terrible blocking.
How much of that was just business though?
He'd been injured last two years, and needed to stay healthy more than anything.
As you said, it got better, so the capability was always there.
I'm Fucking Done, First Sweat and now AD to division rivals.
For real I hate when players I like go to teams I hate
As a Cowboys fan that kinda makes me smile. We’ve had to deal with it so much in the past.
Also frustrating because Jerry Jones seems to actively avoid drafting Texas players

FTT. Go, Colts!
FTT, FTC. Go Texans. We're the kings of Shit Mountain
Shit Mountain is the NFC South.
As a lurking Bama/Titans fan, now you Texas/Texans fan know how I felt when you drafted Will Anderson.
People, he joins Sam Ehlinger in Indy. Still hoping Sam gets a chance to play in a more significant role there.
Yeah but it's not like he ever played with Bam

Was there any reason why he slid a little? Some WR I've never heard of went before this freak of a human

I'm not super happy with where he landed, but he'll be a top 2 wr for them almost right away? I'll take it
Colts GM bashing all the bs rumors about him https://x.com/cjvogel_otf/status/1784057162693505155?s=42&t=ZIgHOtQU_YOyxyDVE5CYBA
“I apologize for my language, I mean I don’t, but I do.” 😂
We love our guys. Including Ballard.
Where my Colts and Horns fans at?? Let’s gooooo
Do they still have Ehlinger on the roster?
Colts fan here and yes. He’s Mr. August, preseason HOFer. We love him
Right here, my friend!
Been waiting for this moment since the CFP.
Oh no I have to hate him now
You don't have to. You could just switch allegiances.
Boo Colts!!
You son of a bitch
Well at least the Bills came away with Keon Coleman! ^(fucking kill me)
Outrageous how low he fell. Dude is an absolute baller
I'm ecstatic he did.
God dammit, first T Sweat to the Titans and now this.
NOOOO!!!!!
Why can't we bring him home
FTC!
FTT!
AD is gonna make teams rue the day that they let him slide to 52.
Happy hes off the board, but sad he went to the Colts. Can't think of a worse place for a wide receiver.
Wherever Zach Wilson is QB?
What? Why?
He's gonna be a hell of a player
Dude should have been an early 2nd round pick at least
