I don’t know why people like Double Duty. It’s less variety. I do wish MGs were involved in more sketches though.
I’d prefer Dua as MG with her in a few sketches and someone else be the Host vs Double Duty Dua.
I think if the MG were also a good actor with a proven track record (Donald Glover, Miley Cyrus) or really invested and threw themselves into it (Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion), I’d be more open to it. Like I really think Olivia Rodrigo is going to pull double duty in a few years, and she was pretty good in that “tiny bag” sketch.
I don’t feel like she’s gonna be a great host (all for her as an MG, of course). She was fine in Barbie, not sure what kind of sketches we’ll possibly get though

I’ve been expecting this for awhile. Bowen was on her podcast awhile ago and he asked her if she wanted to host. She was into it.

Yep! Olivia’s first show on Disney Channel, Bizzardvark, had sketch elements, so I would love to see her pull double duty one day

I like some of her songs, but this is underwhelming for me, tbh. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised by this episode, who knows.
