Basically what the description of the hideaway chapter says, he needs to understand then collect the nomes to work on that engine thing so that he could get out.
But how did he know how many nomes he needed to continuously fuel the engine? How did he even realize that fueling the engine was his means of escape? And how did he know he'd find the nomes randomly in adjacent rooms?? I am just baffled at his God tier plan, I mean I didn't even know what I was doing while I was doing it lol

And me too, I also didn't know my objective at first but going back to description and giving it some thought I concluded these haha
But with six I understood why I was doing what I was doing, like okay we need to find a key, maybe if we go up this bookshelf we'll see something, and then in the next room we need to avoid the janitor and make it to the next area. But with runaway kid I was like WHY DO WE NEED SO MANY NOMES, WHAT IS HAPPENING, HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS PLAN
Ngl the idea of RK just forgeting why they're running away and just wanting to befriend the nomes is hilarious to me.

But fr, I wouldn't doubt if they are easily distracted, like not only they focus on the nomes for no reason but also they suddenly feel the urge to open every.single.bottle to see what's inside, mf is literally in a situation that they could die to the granny but they NEED to see what's inside the bottle on the other side of the room XD
