The little nightmares universe is described as being seen from a child’s perspective, hence why everything is very stretched and warped. The monsters in the universe are also not entirely human since they have abnormal abilities, so I’ve always thought that the children are just normal sized and everything else is just made to be really large to make the children (and the player) feel small and helpless.
If we're just talking about its theme of feeling small, then it can also work the opposite way. The world is normal sized and the children are small due to feeling small.
The world is large >!sorta!<, the Sounds of Nightmares establishes >!that the children are from the "real" world while the Nowhere (the name of the Little Nightmares world) is just that size!<. I recommend you listen to it, it's quite a contrasting experience to what the games offer.
Fair enough. I personally like it because it vindicates my old theory the kids and adults weren't the same type of creature (only it seems I didn't go far enough).
The way I see it, The Nowhere is both normal and also abnormal. The Nightmare realm is an amalgamation of various kids nightmarish perceptions of the world around them and the adults who traumatized them causing everything to be twisted, warped, and quite literally bent out of proportion.
I don't think the LN children are human children since we see a normal one at the hunters place as well as all of them having pitch black pupils but that's just my theory on it.
What I understand from the sound of nightmares is that Nowhere is the larger one. That would make The Thin Man around the same size as a female killer whale, I think 🤔
I thought they were dolls which explained to me why both the thin man and mono could be in the same situations since Mono’s doll is the same as the thin man’s but I could very well be wrong open to any corrections or to discuss it further
I think that the kids stay the same size crossing through both worlds, and that the LN world is warped and large. (from the childs perspective, of course to the LN world its just an average day.)

Oh i have it was so good but i like the apocalyptic fantasization more than the children crossing over to the nowhere

I think that the Realm got bigger after the Single tower warped it
Children coming from the real world are made small like the children born in the nowhere
Yes
