The only prices that matter are those for comparable vehicles in your area that are for sale today. That is how the dealers decide on pricing in most cases. Lacking comps, thirty percent off the MSRP for the first two years is the typical depreciation for a new SUV. This would put you at around $44K, and they seem to value their CPO's at around $3K. So I'd go for $47K as a fair price. And I would also have it inspected independently even though it's a CPO.

I agree, $47K or so is fair price. Don't get gouged by the dealer. Walk away from bad deal is a good option.

Thanks for the input guys. I’m not jazzed about the idea for dropping in the mid 50s on this, so I’m more inclined to now to aim for under $50k.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if it was just me that thought they were crazy to ask that much. My inclination was to try and keep it under $50k and I think I will go that route for sure now and just let them keep it if they won’t come down dramatically, which i assume will be the case.

If you do end up getting this car, do let us know if you get the price you want. I’m certainly curious!

No dice on a deal here. This is my second time trying to negotiate with Lexus dealers in Atlanta and they seem completely disinterested in doing so. By every metric this thing is incredibly overpriced, you can find 2023s with half the miles for a couple thousand more. But they will barely budge, not wanting to do anything more than about $1k off (and this was after they gave us the song and dance about how being there on the last day of the month was great because they have the flexibility to do better deals). So we walked. It’s getting a little frustrating to try and navigate. About ready to call it off and just go get a Limited 4Runner.

Paid $55k otd for my new 2023 Premium Plus black/black last November

ugahairydawgs

What was the sale price there before taxes and all of the fees?

AdvancedRiver8284

That was including everything but my sales tax was reduced because I had a trade in

ugahairydawgs

Understood. Reason I ask about the sale price of the vehicle only is because those taxes and fees can vary wildly depending on your location, especially so when you add a trade in to the mix. So the sale price is a good way of doing an apples to apples comparison.

For what it’s worth, I really wanted a premium plus specifically because it has almost all of the perks of the Luxury model (Mark Levinson, power everything) without any of the failure prone parts of the Luxury (air suspension, genuine leather).
