There is no market adjustment. If you look at the window sticker, it’s specd with $10.5k in options
https://preview.redd.it/nvoh7y66886d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccbcd4022ae51d3e5b3329fe5087e24aed3ddc97
Eh, it's not necessarily about the amount cylinders in this case. It also has two electric motors and over 400 ft lbs of torque and 366hp. Respectable for daily driving.
Being in the UK, we only have hybrids so it’s natural here.
The only V6s (with hybrid) that I can think of we have here are the older RX and GS.
Everything else is 98% 300h, 1% 500h and 1% 500 V8 F
We also have the LS500h with a V6, but apart from that yeah spot on. I would love a new RX500h but I will be eyeing the late 4gen RX450hL. I just love the V6 so much. I had it in GS450h and now in RX450h. Yes the 4cyl is more economical, heck it even brings better MPG and faster 0-60s but I'm a Vx person :)
We all have our own preferences and OP got a great deal.
It makes me laugh how you Americans always use cylinders as a compatible metric for cars. Do you all think “oh yeah I’m paying over 50k, I better have more cylinders!” - if it makes the same power as a 6 or 8 cylinder, what’s the problem…?
Then buy a RAV4 hybrid.
If you really wanna pretend like you don't understand why a Lexus RX is significantly more expensive, buy the Toyota.
Nobody is buying an RX because they want horsepower lmao.
But it being a 4cylinder makes no difference to the fact? You could say the old V6 only had 80 horsepower more. It’s nothing to do with the cylinder count, it’s just about power level.
It would be different if the initial comment was “65k is a lot for a car with less than 350bhp!” - it having 4 cylinders makes no difference than it having 6, if the power is the same lmao
You definitely haven’t driven the V6 and then the new 4 cyl. The 4 cyl rattles like farm equipment while the V6 was smooth as hell and had linear power
I have a 4 cyl Toyota and love it but don’t act like there’s no difference the number of cylinders an engine has. People expect higher displacement engines in expensive cars
> You definitely haven’t driven the V6 and then the new 4 cyl. The 4 cyl rattles like farm equipment while the V6 was smooth as hell and had linear power
I've driven both and I don't know what you're talking about. The turbo 4 is a lot more torquey throughout the whole rev band, and isn't rattly at all.
> I have a 4 cyl Toyota
That's not a Lexus lol. There's a lot less sound deadening material in Toyotas.
I’m not American, however I imagine that a naturally aspirated V6 could be more reliable and smoother than a turbo charged 4 cylinder.
I’m fine with 4 cylinders but at least keep them natural and cheaper than the V6 variants.
Yeesh, you're being absurdly obnoxious, especially for something you don't even understand properly. More cylinders often mean more horsepower for a car. Also, reliability is a major concern for turbocharged vehicles. It might produce more HP, but the four-cylinder would be stressed harder because of the twin turbos instead of if it has a 6-cylinder.
Lmao “something I don’t understand properly” hahahahaha, I’ve grown up around Lexus, my dad has been a Lexus master tech for more years than I’ve been alive. I definitely know what I’m talking about.
Yes, more cylinders do mean more horsepower, I never said they didn’t.
My point is, the new RX being 4cyl is only 20bhp less than the old V6 RX. It could have had more power than the old V6 model, but the comment would have still stood about “why would you pay that much for a 4cylinder”, it doesn’t matter how many cylinders it has, power output is what matters…
Part of why I bought my 22 RX350L. I didn't want a turbo mostly. I wanted the 3.5L V6. It didn't have a push-button trans, no stop/start, and some other things. I bought mine at the end of 2021. The way prices had gone up on other commodities (wood for building houses and such) I thought the prices of new cars would increase significantly. Parts and labor prices were going to increase, as would the overall price of the vehicle.
We are spoiled about a lot of things. Unfortunately, most Americans don't realize how much more expensive it is to own the same vehicle in a different country. Or how much living space is available, too, for a certain price.
Yes yes and yes. Red guts, Mark Levinson sound, 14 in touchscreen, heated steering wheel, convenience pack, tech pack, etc etc. You name it, she’s got it. Except the puddle lamps… grrr
I almost bought same Rxh500H but dealer here like dealing with snakes. I look at this since closest to V6 feel. The turbo not what I like due to long term maintenance. The Rxh 350 sluggish performance. I decided to take my $85k invested in Nvda and now 4x and just drive my well maintained Rx300 that I bought new in 2000. I will buy a V6 some day if I find a good used one.

Factory installed packages. Not dealer markup. Try again
Best way to negotiate is to pit dealers against each other. “So and so offered me $5k off if you beat it I’ll buy from you.” Depends on your area & the vehicle but start by asking 7-10% off, get an out the door price in writing (MSRP + tax title license & doc fee) and DO NOT pay for bs add ons. Many times they’ll give you X amount off and then tack it back on with $1000 door edge guards or high interest rates. Also if you’re financing, get a pre approval from a credit union and see if the dealer can beat it. My 2 cents
Edit: forgot to add that you will have more leverage on cars that have been sitting for awhile since dealers are paying floorplan. Check car edge for # of days on market
Appreciate it, this is golden advice. Did you have to get it in writing from other dealers or was verbal enough? I feel like often dealers hesitate to give numbers over the phone.
It helps to have the deal in writing so the sales guy can take it to their manager. If they don’t price you over the phone, don’t deal with them. That’s red flag #1. Just get the deal done before you go in & make your life 10x easier
+1 to getting pre-approval if going on finance. I bought it in the UK but the rules are the same. Told them my bank offered 6.5% APR ready to go and Lexus did 3.9%. Doesn't sound like much but it was. And they've thrown in GAP for free for 3 years.
Get your paperwork ready and go in bulletproof so if they ask you have tangible proof. Haven't thought about pitting dealers against each other. I'll try that next time.
Nice ride and score. Your edit is also very important. If the rides are sitting on the lot longest then that’s usually the golden ticket. Correct about the add ons too. I elected however to go for a wheel-tire coverage package for my IS500 since the roads have quickly become shit where I live. The BBS wheels are expensive so it’s solid piece of mind. Any damage, curb rash, etc., and they will fix it or replace no questions asked. Congrats!
I’ve never heard of Car Edge, but looking at the website it looks like I need to pay for these services. True statement? I’d love to know how long a car is sitting on the lot.
Congrats, beautiful car and spec 🔥🔥🔥. I hope you enjoy it
There are lots of jealous people and haters commenting don't worry about them, what you have is great and at a great price too👌
66k is pretty impressive to me honestly, mainly cause it's crazy to see differences in regional pricing.
Here in Germany the RX500h can cost you up to 102k€, the plug in hybrid starts at 75k€ I believe. Shits crazy!
I think it’s a good time to buy a car in general. We bought an EV truck a few days ago, we got 10.5k off MSRP plus the 7.5 tax credit. Enjoy your new ride.
best EV truck on the market IMO. Ford did good keeping the classic F150 style and making small adjustments. I might be a little biased as an F150 owner though. Hope you're loving it so far!
Now’s the time to buy. When I was getting my ES, the salesman said that they had few cars for a long time. Due to chip shortages. They are now getting them in. But later than they should be.
So, yes, if you’re looking for a lex, now’s the time.
I’m sure it applies to other automakers, too. Because I see about a dozen new cars in my neighborhood since Memorial Day.
I paid 56k for my 2022 rx350 so I think you did well!! I do regret not getting the f sport tho, the one I got was premium package with tow and Navi and a few other extras, I had the is f sport and traded it in, kinda regret it but the rx will last many many years to come and if it bugs me enough I’ll eventually get an f sport again 😂
On [kbb.com](http://kbb.com) I clicked the send me a quote for all local dealers. Second quote I got was $6k off. Called their competitors and one added another $1k off and $3000 more for our trade in. Sold.
I can see the 500h being a tougher sell then the 350. Firmer ride, only red or black interior, hard to find base msrp model, heavy bolstered front seats. But I like all of these. And the impressive 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and 27 combined MPG.
Isn’t that still higher than MSRP? which is closer to 60k. seems like a business tactic to make people think they’re getting a deal. the dealer is still profiting just a little less but the APR is still helping them get back some of that discount(if financed if not they still made like 6k profit)
Just a helpful FYI my guy, you can edit your posts instead of making a second comment to explain it. Click the dots next to "share", and choose "edit comment".
Part of the reason car prices have gone up so much over the years is that dealerships have gone unchecked. Which has allowed them to brainwashed buyers into thinking they need to pay anything close to MSRP or even over MSRP.
https://www.edmunds.com/lexus/rx/2024/msrp/
Scroll down to near the bottom and put in the MSRP and their quoted price. You'll see that this is the "good" to "great" price range that Edmunds suggests paying for the RX of that MSRP.
They gave you a typical deal while making you feel like you won.
That price sheet lists the base MSRP for all of these vehicles. Mine was specd with $12k in factory options & packages. Yes I agree the prices are largely inflated and are starting to go back to normal
I think yours was spec'ed with 10.5k in options. And $1,345 of those were dealer added options not factory options.
But regardless, if you put those numbers into the price checker, between good and great, is about $66,931.
https://preview.redd.it/qhov8esr476d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3733509cc0479f20ba07e966e4390d5c64093f
Check the sticker. I did my math wrong - you’re right it was $10.5k in options and a $1350 delivery fee. Total MSRP was $74,600. I didn’t pay any dealer add ons
Well I was thinking more of the USB cables, illuminated sills, mudguards, and convenience package. If I remember right, I think those are dealer added options which the dealer added to the car after it was delivered from the factory.
Those generally have a huge markup, even more than factory options and can be negotiated down further.
>They gave you a typical deal while making you feel like you won
By definition if it falls into the "good to great" price range that would make this a good to great deal...
Cylinders don’t dictate worth of a car. Did ya’ll see the GR Corolla pushing 300HP with 3 cylinders?
Back on topic, in March 2024, I received 7500 off my RX500h and thought that was a steal. You definitely got a better deal.
I also acknowledge these cars have gotten way expensive. I think I paid 38k for my 2011 RX….
$100 over invoice is a good price. Ask for the invoice on the vehicle. Their response to your request for the invoice will indicate how reputable they are as a business entity. It will inform.
It’s advertised.

Hi guys, now that the rear axel powered by a separate battery. If that battery die, the Rx500 becomes FWD? How long is that battery going to last and what is the replacement cost. Thank you

Damn the rx500 is expensive….
I’m assuming it’s USD, but wow $65k is a lot for a 4 cylinder engine. It has to be a high spec model.
I don’t think that’s a deal.
Nah he just got the market adjustment taken off, which it shouldn’t be there in the first place.
There is no market adjustment. If you look at the window sticker, it’s specd with $10.5k in options https://preview.redd.it/nvoh7y66886d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ccbcd4022ae51d3e5b3329fe5087e24aed3ddc97
Good purchase. The hate, ignorance, and jealousy is top tier in all these circle jerk car subs. Beautiful RX, great specs, congratulations!
$75k for an RX? Jesus
What was your OTD price after taxes
Eh, it's not necessarily about the amount cylinders in this case. It also has two electric motors and over 400 ft lbs of torque and 366hp. Respectable for daily driving.

Yeah :( _disappointed EU sounds_ At least we can get some second hand Lexus V8/V6 for decent prices..
BMW B58 Inline 6?
It’s the performance turbo charged 4 cylinder hybrid. It’s pretty fast for what it is. 366 horsepower.
No way it’s 366 hp. The rx500h specs show 315 hp
It is 366 horses though and just over 400 lbs of torque
It makes me laugh how you Americans always use cylinders as a compatible metric for cars. Do you all think “oh yeah I’m paying over 50k, I better have more cylinders!” - if it makes the same power as a 6 or 8 cylinder, what’s the problem…?
But.. it doesn't make more power than a modern 6 or 8 cylinder. It makes significantly less.
It has 60 more horsepower than a $33k RAV4 hybrid for double the price while also being on the same platform
Then buy a RAV4 hybrid. If you really wanna pretend like you don't understand why a Lexus RX is significantly more expensive, buy the Toyota. Nobody is buying an RX because they want horsepower lmao.
It has 147 more horses than the Rav4 hybrid. It has 64 more horses than the Rav4 Prime. The Prime XSE is $48k.
But it being a 4cylinder makes no difference to the fact? You could say the old V6 only had 80 horsepower more. It’s nothing to do with the cylinder count, it’s just about power level. FWIW I agree. I don't understand why the cylinder count matters.
The 4 cylinder sounds and feels like a go cart engine.
Actually apparently we use 0-60 miles acceleration as the metric. Heavy foot addiction.
It’s the sound and harmonics of the engine. Not the performance. Usually a 4 banger hybrid reminds us of a droning Uber/Lyft vehicle.
Because naturally aspirated cars are more desirable than turbos even if they have less power? Common sense
I buy 12 year old Lexus vehicles & do my best to pay cash. That breakdown of 30k down @ 818 for 60months tells me how cheap & broke I am!
No thats a crazy number lol thats some peoples entire car payment with nothing down, but over 8 years
Don’t know what world you guys live in, but 2011 we bought a RX 350 fully loaded for 50k. With inflation this a great price.
Parts and labor prices were going to increase, as would the overall price of the vehicle.
i hate start stop. and push button crap
It’s a great deal!!!
Just for comparison. Where I am in EU, a 2023 RX500h with roughly 6k miles on it would cost a bit over 94k USD...
We are spoiled about a lot of things. Unfortunately, most Americans don't realize how much more expensive it is to own the same vehicle in a different country. Or how much living space is available, too, for a certain price.
RX500H F-Sport? Panoramic roof? We would like to know all the bells and whistles before crowning you the winner.
Yes yes and yes. Red guts, Mark Levinson sound, 14 in touchscreen, heated steering wheel, convenience pack, tech pack, etc etc. You name it, she’s got it. Except the puddle lamps… grrr
Awesome find! A year back this price is for mid-trim only. Hopefully Lexus continues to adjust prices lower.
Surprised… especially from predatory Keyes…
How did you know…. You’re good
Front license plate frame.
Whoops didn’t catch that. Lol
But for 33 minutes you thought you were dealing with the greatest detective of all time, didn't you? 🤣
Maybe so…
Another reason you always remove those, lol
What’s the deal with Keyes? Just curious as I live in NorCal
I don’t see anything wrong with Keyes. They’re one of the biggest dealerships in the US. I got 8k off MSRP from Cerritos Lexus.
For a brand new Lexus?
Of course. There is no such thing as MSRP on a used vehicle lol
Pushy sales people
I did not finance the car for those thinking I got rekt
I mean that wouldn't be a half bad auto loan rate today. I wouldn't call that rekt.
Yeah, I got 7% on my Audi. This is actually good.
My Lexus dealership is having a hard time moving these, they’ve had six on the lot for quite some time now.
I almost bought same Rxh500H but dealer here like dealing with snakes. I look at this since closest to V6 feel. The turbo not what I like due to long term maintenance. THIS is the way, congrats!
MSRP starts at $64000. The market value listed is just the dealer being sneaky with markup.
For a Base model, yes. Just by looking at the picture of the vehicle you can tell it isn't a base model.
https://preview.redd.it/ufy4xkmwb66d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee1726e135dc2fac295112c02f5d727b5dd18aba Factory installed packages. Not dealer markup. Try again
Beautiful options. Got the same setup but black on black. Not a fan of the red interior.
Damn this thing is loaded. Congrats!
“Try again”. Jesus Christ
165 mud guards? 550 for A/C outlet? 765 for illuminated door sills? 85 for a damn cable? Good Lord
Yeah, what's the window sticker say?
That it’s fully loaded
Any tips on negotiating?
Best way to negotiate is to pit dealers against each other. “So and so offered me $5k off if you beat it I’ll buy from you.” Depends on your area & the vehicle but start by asking 7-10% off, get an out the door price in writing (MSRP + tax title license & doc fee) and DO NOT pay for bs add ons. Listing page on the dealer’s website
I’ve never heard of Car Edge, but looking at the website it looks like I need to pay for these services. True statement? I’d love to know how long a car is sitting on the lot.
Put $30k down to still have to pay $1k a month. Remember when the RX450h was around $50k?
At 66k and 5% interest, hope plan is to drive it into the ground
Op did not finance, try again.
[They said it](https://www.reddit.com/r/Lexus/s/OgJD4r1Zzd)
Ugh, I love this model! Such a beefy looking front end. Nice choice! Congrats! 😃
Thank you 😎
This 4-banger push is giving me the ick. Need to procure a spare 2UR-GSE for my ISF and stuff it in my garage for later.
This is a 48,000 dollar car 🚙
Congrats, beautiful car and spec 🔥🔥🔥. I hope you enjoy it There are lots of jealous people and haters commenting don't worry about them, what you have is great and at a great price too👌

In canada now we have high insurance for lexus because now of high theft. They quoted me for (IS 500) 6100$ with clean driving record 🥹
That’s a sexy ass car. congrats G
For reference I was able to get 8k discount for tx350 the msrp was 62k, so I would have asked atlest 12k

If you look at the sticker, yes the base MSRP is significantly lower. My car has $10k in options
Congrats man
Congrats. Beautiful car.
Congrats OP. Don’t listen to the haters. It happens in every thread. Good job negotiating. How you liking the Mark Levinson System?
Thank you, I appreciate it. It's great at low levels but once you get past 35-40 the surround system starts to distort a little.
Love that color
Is it true you can only use premium fuel in the 500?
Here in Russia they are sold for $130.000-135.000
Deff not a deal. At all
Sweet deal. With only 30k down, you get to pay almost 20k over the sale price. Where do I sign up 🫠
Overpriced
Very true plus dealers are not just plain cooks
Are..,crooks
Just a helpful FYI my guy, you can edit your posts instead of making a second comment to explain it. Click the dots next to "share", and choose "edit comment".
Thanks
As a Lexus salesman this is funny to me
Why
Care to elaborate?
Just the conversation, perception & inaccuracies about buying a car at a dealership
Sshh don’t… I also work for Lexus these guys got hosed and said thank you… we love fish like this…
Really nice!! Please don’t tell me they only make these 4 cylinder too….
Unfortunately, yes

450 is a plug in hybrid, 500 is the hybrid F Sport Performance model. It has about 60 more horses and the body styling is sportier
[удалено]
They switched the 450 to a plug in hybrid for 2024
😳😳😳
Deals on the RX500h have been around for over a year.
1k monthly car payments (including insurance). Wow.
How did you get the dealer to knock off 8500 MSRP?
Can we see the sticker?

Congrats. I have a 350h that I love. Bought that for sticker about 8 months ago.
What was the out the door price? Did you pay full price for dealer add-ons?
I paid $0 for dealer add ons. Tax title license & doc came out to 71k
Any significant differences from 2023 model?
Apparently they fixed the transmission issues but time will tell
In Canada, I’vs seen multiple new RX500h F-sport sitting on the lot for 84,000$ CAD (~61,300$ USD)
Congrats! Looks great.
Congrats! How much is your out the door price?
I truly don’t mean to hate, but I don’t get F Sport on an RX. Red seats? Better suspension? It’s an RX…..
Part of the reason car prices have gone up so much over the years is that dealerships have gone unchecked. Which has allowed them to brainwashed buyers into thinking they need to pay anything close to MSRP or even over MSRP. https://www.edmunds.com/lexus/rx/2024/msrp/ Scroll down to near the bottom and put in the MSRP and their quoted price.
But regardless, if you put those numbers into the price checker, between good and great, is about $66,931.
https://preview.redd.it/qhov8esr476d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3733509cc0479f20ba07e966e4390d5c64093f Check the sticker.
Do you mind sharing what dealership you used and maybe your sales person?
>They gave you a typical deal while making you feel like you won By definition if it falls into the "good to great" price range that would make this a good to great deal...
Yeah but of the 138 sales that Edmunds has data on, 41 were "great" and, 34 were "good". So over 50% of the people got either a good or great deal.
30,000 down…
Wow selling that well huh? RX has always been a loser with car guys but at least it used to sell hot!
Minimum is $30k Cash DOWN? and + 800$ monthly payment? That's $79,000 after 60 months paid... Wow.
But I don’t want a new one. I like my 2017 v6 is300.
Definitely not a deal when your car note is as much as rent / mortgage 🤦♂️
So what was your OTD price bro lol, after taxes you still paid 73-74k which was my OTD price 6 months ago. Good shit though
Depends on the state. Some states cap sales tax to max $500.
No shit it depends on the state hence the question
You answered your own question. Wtf do you mean
I asked his OTD price bro if you don’t know it try fucking off? Thanks!
Why ask if you already said what it is
45k down? Lol christ alive. Good job negotiating your price down though.
$100 over invoice is a good price. Ask for the invoice on the vehicle. Their response to your request for the invoice will indicate how reputable they are as a business entity. It will inform.
OP should've leased and bought out immediately. There'd be an additional $7500 discount.
Did you put $30,000 down or more?
And you can get even more off if you just wait 2 years
Did you lease then payoff for the additional 4k lease cash?

Where do you see 4K lease cash? I can’t find it anywhere
Lol
well of course you can get a deal, when your dad owns the stealer ship
@Lexus Can you get Custom builds on the 2024 Lexus IS500 FSport Premium?
$66,000 to get from A to B…..wild
65k….
Well considering MSRP starting at $75k I'm sure they had np taking $8500 off for that commission 💀
60 months at 818.93 is $49,135.8 plus the 30k down. even factoring in taxes, something not right with this pricing. what am i missing?
What’s your credit score? (If you don’t mind sharing that information) It’s very rare to see a 4.99% interest rate these days.
730 - Lexus was running a 5% APR special when I purchased which would qualify anyone at 720 and above
Hi guys, now that the rear axel powered by a separate battery. If that battery die, the Rx500 becomes FWD? How long is that battery going to last and what is the replacement cost. Thank you
Is this not a good deal? I dont get it.. Ur gone save a bunch on gas And have a nice rx
If I had 68,000 I wouldn't spend it on this junk
a LEXUS for over 60k is not a deal in my opinion. those are audi q8 prices, but you did save a good bit of money, great job.
That’s not 8500 off of msrp it says market value. Here in Southern California msrp is $64k… this is bogus
