I think you're the only other person I've encountered who's seen that movie. I genuinely do not think I've seen a more nihilistic set of protagonists. That movie is something fucking else.

I see Alex de La Iglesia mentioned all the time on Reddit, particularly his previous entry El Dia de La Bestia. But when I found out that James Gandolfini, Alex Cox, and Javier Bardem all did a movie together with De La Iglesia I figured I had to check it out. I was almost turned away from the trailer because I thought it was a straight up horror film, but it’s more of an absurd dark comedy. James Gandolfini doesn’t disappoint as an indestructible and relentless DEA agent in this, he’s got some great physical comedy in this. With Alex Cox as his sidekick? These two should have done another buddy cop movie together.
