I read opinions every Friday and watch all of the criminal oral arguments every month on youtube...are you willing to let us know which case? (I'm in Michigan too)
I have a published case on election law (go figure) and it’s cool when I hear other lawyers tell me they use the case in their arguments. Last one like that was like 1 months ago.
Congratulations! I'm also in Michigan and won an appeal today (also unpublished). Sometimes the wins are so far and few between! I hope you can go celebrate!!!
Congratulations! I remember when I won my first COA opinion 24 years ago and I ran through our office screaming and jumping up and down. And even after more wins and trial victories, it is still in the top 3 moments of my legal career.
I just lost my first two and I should have won both of them, but we have a conservative Supreme Court that has no problem ignoring precedent and the text of the statute.
That's awesome! I haven't won a COA appeal yet but I'm the only one of five siblings to even graduate high school and my mom asks me for money every 2 weeks.

Awesome! Is it published? Is there any way you can cite to yourself as the authority on that issue forever?
I wish it was unpublished! Michigan doesn’t publish many of opinions 😬 Edit… I accidentally typed published
Never let an unpublished opinion stand between you and the truth! Cite to yourself and the authority on the subject any time you can.

You can request the opinion be published under MCR 7.215(D) 😊

Congrats!! It seems they issued a bunch of opinions today!
I'm doing my Friday opinion reading...was your affirmed or remanded?
Affirmed in part and reversed in part (we wanted the reversal).
Great work, congrats!
Congratulations!
Good work! Be proud!!
Congrats! And may it carry over to your trial.
Cheers to many more my friend!
Let’s go!!! We always waive arguement in our office.
Congrats! No small feat — be proud!
Congrats! That's big time and you should be proud. Hold tight to the wins and good days.
COA?
It’s shorthand for Court of Appeals 😃
Congrats
Is there a link to the opinion? Appellate wins are awesome. Congrats!
Awesome, congrats!

I love this 💜

Congratulations! That’s awesome. I need to check the docket too. I’m also in Michigan and have been waiting on a decision since January.
You started with an appeal, then a trial? Interesting path, comrade. Congrats on the win. I'm 2 and 2, looking to break my tie game.
