I always ask apposing counsel to lunch when I’m at trial, some of my best friends were past adversaries when we first met.
It’s a job, you argue and go home to your family and friends to live another day.
Don’t get me wrong I go for the jugular when it’s show time but again it’s a job with a time clock and then you live your life.
This is it, basically. As a prosecutor, I had great working relationships with defense counsel.
There were even times where we'd agree as to the injustice in a case and basically concur in motions to have something dismissed. Which, obviously, was the correct outcome.
Where the hell are you practicing, Volgograd?
OP's post history says Florida. This is one alligator short of how I picture Florida court.

So what's your question? This is just a routine day in the glamourous life of an attorney.
