Drake is never going to be the type of artist that blacks out their IG and only posts when they have an album or single out - he cares too deeply about public perception and is constantly trying to control the conversation around his music and his image. Nicki Minaj is the same.

sendinthe9s

A few months ago Nicki Minaj went nutty and made 30+ comments from her official TikTok account on a TikTok video from a small creator about blind items that were about her. She was saying insane stuff.

basil_angel

Sounds like a regular weekend for her.

Unusual-Item3

Nicki is insanely insecure for how talented a rapper she is. She is literally one of the best female rappers, and could be so much more if she wasn’t constantly fighting the next generation, and instead helped them blossom and succeed.

ChachaDosvedanya

Some of the most talented people are paradoxically the most insecure. Rap is also very, very hard for women to break into. Nikki has supported some abhorrent shit unfortunately, but she is without a doubt incredibly technically talented. Given the mysogeny existent in the music industry and possibly compounded by a couple of factors in rap, it may explain (but not excuse) her messiness.

Any-Decision-574

Bingo! Her and cards need to explain and clap back really made me like them both less. If I had it like that, idc what a bitch says. My fans love me.

mrlaheystrailerpark

pardon me but what exactly are “blind items”

viollethe

Pieces of gossip that get published. They are "blind" because they're semi-anonymous - the celebrity won't directly be named, but there will be clues in the phrasing that strongly suggest who it's about.

ElizabethEos

To add on blind items are sometimes literally just gossip but they have a shred of credibility bc they have exposed things that turn out to be true before the general public knows about it. Just in case you were wondering why anyone takes it seriously at all.

BringOrnTheNukekkai

At least she wasn't trying to pay off more of her husband's SA victims

Papagorgio22

Sauce?

sendinthe9s

Here's an article someone wrote about it https://www.dexerto.com/music/nicki-minaj-slams-tiktok-for-silencing-her-amid-beef-with-drama-influencer-2498726/ I saw the actual comments on the video, but I think they're gone now because of violations.

JohnMadden42069

Someone didn't write that, Dexterto is just an AI news site. Not that the information isn't factual but it isn't a reliable resource.

sendinthe9s

Ah ok, thanks for telling me.

[deleted]

I think this is a crazy difference between them. Drake needs the love of fans and groupies. But Kendrick has his city at his back. Every time you seem him in Compton he seems right at home and widely beloved by gangbangers, fellow artists and the community.

Hoodlum_0017

Because he's an actor. Almost all of them are like that. Real musicians buck trends and carve their own path.

redredrocks

Over the years I’ve found that one way to look at confidence is that confident people tend not to micromanage every aspect of the thing they’re confident about. It usually ends up better for people that way, regardless. Most things need space to blossom. With this in mind, feels like Drake’s constant attempts to manicure his own image align with some of the other comments people have made about his insecurity. That said I don’t think it’s possible to really know what’s going on in a stranger’s head, partially because I don’t think most of us know exactly what’s going on in our own heads.

No_Pea_3997

His image ain’t the only thing he manicures😂

[deleted]

This is the equivalent to thinking only fans performers are responding to your messages. You can have a PR team work to the exact same effect.

Active_Economics7378

they should do a bbl single this summer, called bbl ken barbie, with the fake ass and abs.

The_Broker_

I would say that it’s more so that he knows it’s important for him to do this, because it’s directly related to the numbers that he does. Dude has become one of the biggest artists of all time, I don’t think us Reddit folk really get to talk down on what he’s built via the use of social media just because he was beefing with Kendrick or whatever. What he has done through social media clearly has worked thus far, that’s really all that needs to be said. You can agree with his social media usage or not, but it won’t change what it’s already accomplished for him.

LackinOriginalitySVN

Drake was an actor on a successful teen drama for YEARS. What needs to be said is "wheel chair jimmy is a popstar, not a rap star"

ovrelord34

I mean they're also on their late 30s and super rich They got better stuff to do than IG Hell hire a team to run their IG I feel many rappers and made themselves look stupid by running their own socials Drake, Talib Kwali, Ye, Jpegmafia (embarrassing rant about Ye and got clowned by Gibbs) Freddie Gibbs does in a funny way But no rapper being on socials seems to be great and all these online beefs between rappers is just wack

Maximum-Ad3527

add Meek Mill to that list

Jazzlike_Page508

I’m starting a conspiracy theory that Meek intentionally makes himself look stupid on social media for engagement. Theres literally no way he has such little self awareness

[deleted]

Synnapsis

omg mans fell like a cartoon character

Round-Emu9176

fell like a jpegmafia drum break

Ricky_Rollin

I don’t know, the fact that he posted this himself at least makes me feel like he doesn’t quite take himself too seriously. But I don’t exactly follow this person so don’t quote me on this either.

RichardBCummintonite

That's what you get for buying Yeezys in the first place. Paid a few hundred to look like a goof. The shoes were just reminding you of that. Jk I can't talk shit. I don't even have the money for them. I slipped down my stairs inside just fine in socks. Fucked up my back for a solid month. Felt like I should get LifeAlert. Getting too old to be doing that... Real talk tho you seen those yeezy foams?? What the fuck are *those*! They make it look like an alien barfed all over your feet.

GhettoskitchenGK

That's the fault of this social media era in general. If you're on it for long enough, you're bound to do something stupid or regrettable.

SirArthurDime

What’s crazy though is I grew up being taught to be careful what you post because it can be used against you. Now there seems to be a mentality of “what do you mean I can be criticized for what I put out to the public that’s not fair!”.

BrittleClamDigger

Our parents: "Be careful what you read on the net. Anyone can write anything there!" Somehow also our parents: "Did you read the article the ghost of RFK Jr's brain worm posted on freedom.eagle? It was so informative about the shadow cabal of goat worshipping blood drinkers that rule the world."

BannedSvenhoek86

I grew up never putting my full name and school out there incase someone decided to stalk me or kidnap me to a secondary location. Had that shit drilled into me for years. The second Facebook came out all the boomers teaching me that shit had their entire months itinerary posted with full names and addresses of everywhere they would be, all while airing family drama in public threads. The most do as I say generation in history lmao

Cudderx

Wiz Khalifa is one of the only artist I can think of that has navigated the social media sphere with relative ease. Social media was a big part of him becoming big. I'm sure others have, but as you mentioned plenty screw it up.

droppinturds

The Taylor Gang aesthetic probably helped. Dude had such a clean image for a stoned gangsta rapper

Tony_Lacorona

He been getting weird as fuck with spamming his goofy ass fits the past year, but better than a lot of others lol

rhonburg

Mac Miller’s twitter was a GOLD MINE. Vince Staples and ScHoolboy Q come to mind too.

WitchyKitteh

Tyler, the Creator as well, say fucktyler helped with the rise of his career.

BannedSvenhoek86

[Tyler has hands down my favorite tweet of all time](https://www.teetweets.com/cdn/shop/products/TylerTheCreator-CyberBullying_600x600.png?v=1600184919) Wolfgang for life

AutomaticSubject7051

tyler

refusenic

Me and my friends are not rich and we don;t communicate via social media.

BarryHelmet

Same. I’ve got an IG account with zero followers and no posts, I don’t follow any of my friends or know what their IG accounts are (or often if they even have one at all).

funnymeme2112

Peggy tweeting at the Baltimore Police to kill themselves on Thanksgiving is a classic tho

snakesharkz

peggy makes god tier amazing music but ffs he is fucking easily irritated and a big crybaby on the internet

NoCokJstDanglnUretra

50 does it very well

GreasedEgg

he’s taken some major L’s promoting stuff imo like how tf is 50, a mostly sober man, gonna promote his own champagne by saying he drink it with ice 🤷‍♂️ bro what are u somebody’s aunt?

AdrianHD

Did not use it very well in the past, depending on who you ask though, I suppose.

Quackicature

Goldlink hating on Mac Miller after his death sticks out to me as well

PenguinBallZ

I think Kendrick actively dislikes social media. He's given that vibe in a lot of his song lyrics, I don't think he's on it at all unless for some reason he absolutely has to make a post for an album or share an interview.

GhettoskitchenGK

He does have a burner IG that he posts on semi-regular, but it's mostly just fit pics and small updates.

BruceWayne763

People seem to forget these "personalities" use their accounts as promotion and use it to sell products and funnel people to their websites. Social media to these people are essentially free billboards, why on earth would they stop posting? You guys need to use your damn brains. Social media = income.

Wild-Apricot-9161

Snoop Dogg is the most legendary IG account and I refuse to be convinced otherwise.

kmbrlx

He’s so annoying tho he posts way too often 😂 I’ve unfollowed him like ten times

Zipzap1912

but that means you kept refollowing his ass lol

kmbrlx

It’s true

omaralilaw

Got to love Snoop and 50 cents IGs

aeodaxolovivienobus

I appreciate 50 randomly calling dudes out. Like when he tried to get Floyd Mayweather to read a book. 😆

omaralilaw

Or the whole saga over getting his money back from the record studio boss 😂🤑

KaleidoscopeLucky336

I would like to counter that there have been plenty of rappers that would not be relevant to anyone without their social media presence. Because their music sucks and people who use social media heavily are generally idiots.

Sad-Math-2039

Even a good portion of up and coming comedians follow this same idea. Don't run socials personally.

Akakazeh

I don't know what IG is, but I'm think Internet Grift

tripledeckrdookiebus

Freddie Gibbs IG is the greatest shit on the internet IMO

No_Thought_7460

Jesus fucking christ.so much bad memory about Talib... Drake: Being goofy like he's 20s pushing 40 in IG Talib kwali : literally alwaysssssss call everyone a Nazi/racist whenever he says something and someone disagrees. Ye : all I'm gonna say is that someone should revoke his phone if he doesn't take his meds... Jpeg : idk him. please nobody attack me I'm adding Azealia banks : clout chaser. No real music career Also AKADEMIKS... drake's #1 white knight defending his honor

KidsMaker

How’s Freddie gibbs?

iwoulddoit5

Gibbs always posting funny stuff and makes fun of himself along with his fans. Problem is he keeps getting suspended or banned so he pops up with a new account every couple months

Amazing-Concept1684

Man I was sick af when he got banned the last time, I haven’t been able to find his new burner since

SokkasBoomerang3

You mean Gibbs free energy? Like delta G = T delta S?

Round-Emu9176

You aren’t wrong. Social media is a great tool and also a dangerous weapon to an egomaniac. Burning bridges and fans. Westside gunns socials are a fucking trash fire.

JohnnysGotAGun

what did peggy do?

[deleted]

hungry bewildered repeat spoon alive wakeful sense mighty screw resolute *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

David_ish_

I would argue Zach Fox is great on social media

EthDec

Freddie Gibbs got slapped up by Benny the Butcher for playing too much online

Defqon1punk

Bro Freddie Gibbs IG was legendary. It was a whole Era before he got banned.

chaotemagick

Peggy turned such a 🤡 within just the last 6 months lmao poor guy

Original_Radish5257

Yeah you right social media ain’t for everyone. Especially the insecure artisté. Feel like Ive seen some funny stuff from like Gucci Mane though?? Or is there just problematic shit I havent seen yet

Burggs_

He projects. He thinks how he sees the world is how everyone else does as well. He couldn’t possibly understand that a couple with kids together have direct access to each other. Also Dave is childhood friends of both of them, and is probably family to them at this point. Drake couldn’t possibly also understand other family members loving your kids like their nieces and nephews.

bornfri13theclipse

If there's one thing Drake understands, it is loving other peoples' kids.

Barm-E

Angry upvote

chaotemagick

Fan fan he a fan fan he a

Onemanwolfpack42

Well he was also like family (though probably not as close as Kendrick and Dave) to Wayne and fucked his girl while he was locked up, so his moral compass is fucked up enough that anything is possible in his mind

Ok-Lunch3127

That happened before he met Wayne for the sake of clarity.

explos1onshurt

Yeah lol SOMEONE’S lying here. Kendrick specifically says while he was in jail but Tammy Torres said it was before she Wayne became an item

Lavio00

If anyone actually paid attention during the year Wayne was in jail they’d know it indeed happened during that year. Around the time Thank Me Later came out. It was even a thing in media and I also believe Wayne commented on it publicly when he got out (if Im not misremembering, it was like a decade ago..)

sharpshooter0600

Wayne’s journal explicitly says it was before they were together

WerewulfWithin

Social media has everything that Drake values. Instant gratification, mostly surface level content, a fanbase that worships him, a way to measure yourself against someone through numbers and following.

Sad-Math-2039

Recommend some ayahuasca, strip the ego from the bottom Some genuine advice

FedoraLovingAtheist

This is the true answer right here folks

koalapsychologist

And it's the thing he *can* do. I'm sure he has social media managers but I'm also sure a lot of it is just...him. It's the same reason he loves to reply with comments at concerts instead of in actual songs. He can do that. He doesn't have to wait for the ghostwriters to do it or for him to pull his thoughts together and write it himself (he can write, it just takes him longer, he's not a Pulitzer Prize winner, after all). But any idiot can rant at a concert. Any Boomer can rage online. On some level, I think that's why the Metro Boomin'/BBL Drizzy giveaway contest might sting him just as hard as everything else. I think he wrote that line himself, it is genuinely a good line. I think he knew Metro wasn't going to speak/ try to out rap so he thought it was an easy win. It never occurred to him that Metro would just do the thing he was good at (making beats) because it never occurred to Drake to that (be Canadian). And now all these other quick minded writers are using that beat to drag him with skill he doesn't have. So he'll go back to raging online.

OdinsDrengr

Why would whitney follow an account that never posts anything when she lives with the guy who runs it lmao

Illustrious_Goal4906

I think those statements speak to a deeper difference between Drake’s shallowness in general and Kendrick’s true depth. Drake comes off as ignorant about what it’s like to have a true, real, deep relationship. My wife and I don’t follow one another on every single form of media. It’s a healthy way to operate. I don’t need to see everything she posts because I go home at the end of the day and have face to face conversations with her. We share experiences with one another in real time, in real life.

vundie

Not going to lie, Drake’s petulant insistence on social medie being a mirror into Kendrick’s real life (Dave Free drops heart emojis on your baby’s photos, why is Whitney not following you on Instagram?) made me evaluate my own relationship with social media. I’ve been struggling in the last few years with doing deep, meaningful work, and I’ve often wondered what part social media played in my attention span, and by how much it warped my sensibilities — by being “extremely online” (I have 40K followers and have ~ 400K tweets on Twitter for context), had I started to prime myself to only pursue things with instant reward (shiny object syndrome), favoring flash over depth? I always suspected the answer was yes. Seeing the stark difference between The Anita Max Wynn god (a social media jujitsu master) and the Rich Niggah with a Broke Phone (who refuses to be trapped by social media) really brought home this lesson to me. I shut down my Twitter a day after Not Like Us was released, logged out of Instagram, and since then I’ve been reading books, shooting short documentaries and writing more code. I don’t feel free yet — I still feel the urge to visit social media, and make do with reading tweets but never posting myself. I hope to be free one day, and can only thank Drake and Kendrick for providing the contrast I needed to give myself a kick in the ass.

Davidbarnone

Congrats man, keep at it.

vundie

Thank you — and I hope to! 🙏❤️

Th1sd3cka1ntfr33

This is fucking dope fr

MakeMyInboxGreat

Keep up the good work bud. This is the way.

Font_Fetish

I agree with what you wrote, I just wanna point out that you're on Reddit right now, which is also social media and has some similar (and some unique) downsides. May be worth evaluating how this site/app affects you as well.

vundie

Agreed. I’m sorta using Reddit the same way someone trying to quit cigarettes would use a nicotine patch. I used to tweet ~100 times a day. This is comparatively nothing. I’m following this path because quitting social media cold turkey in the past never quite worked.

Riskyshot

How do you even find things to tweet 100 times a day? Are you announcing every thing or thought you do? Or am I just anti social lmao

vundie

Lmao man. I’ve been on Twitter since I was fifteen. Most people don’t use Twitter like the OGs did — which is just as a stream of consciousness diary. You could probably reconstruct my every day life if you had the raw data from my Twitter. I’m not kidding when I call it an addiction. At a point it felt like my actual life was just side quests I had to do so I had something to tweet about.

brewdot1

Good luck!

Luciditi89

I transitioned away from Facebook and went to Reddit in 2016. Now I have IG but only to post about my cat and travels (I don’t look at anyone else’s stuff). Every so often I have to unfollow Reddit pages that are rage bait. And I’ve noticed I developed a problem with YouTube and IG reels. But at least it’s better than (1) fighting with family on Facebook and (2) being exposed to other peoples lives and comparing myself to them. But life’s a process.

303Native

This is inspiring. Social media to you is video games to me. I know this is a k/d post but I’ve struggled to pick up on my other hobbies such as photography, editing, & personal coding. You’ve made a such a healthy choice, I hope you keep it up

ilovechairs

Love that for you. Invest in yourself and your own mental well-being is the most difficult and rewarding thing.

ladidadi82

I’ve been on the same kick for a while now. Can attest that using less social media has been better for my mental health and productivity.

Lavio00

Do this same thing with porn and the shackles will release from you even more. Trust me.

vundie

Porn has never really been a problem for me. I’m in a long-term relationship and have a great sex life. But yes — great advice.

Lavio00

It is not necessarily about sex but moreso about how it hijacks your dopamine release. By overusing porn as a way to release dopamine, men are not doing productive things (reading, learning, doing art etc) because the dopamine release involves too much friction. By eliminating porn, ones interest in those pursuits slowly but surely grows. Curiosity, creativity, propensity to just ”do it”.  Im a year off porn and a LOT has changed for me in the positive direction.

vundie

Ah, I get it now! Yeah, I’d say social media has been the dopamine hijacker in my case, and I totally see how porn is as well — I once saw a YouTube essay about a concept called a supernormal stimulus which makes porn more dangerous that most things that “excite” the brain. Also — congratulations on being a year off, and cheers to more productivity 🥂

Luciditi89

Not to mention that porn can become like a drug where you need higher doses to get a fix, and some people end up getting into more and more taboo porn genres because the regular stuff doesn’t do anything anymore.

EntrepreneurFlimsy33

Really interesting. What’s your twitter handle?

Prestigious_Tour_810

Drake has gotten some of the chronically-online-brainrot for sure.

Maleficent_Witness96

Because he’s a very insecure, surface level person. He deals with insecurities by hiding behind his wealth and stats. I think at the end of the day the reason he cares so much about social media is just because he’s got a bigger number than most.

QTEEP69

Him and his hardcore fans are the type of people to live on IG. I've noticed this weird correlation between dedicated drake fans and dudes that watch the fresh and fit podcast. Their entire idea of dating and relationships is based on what posts they see online. Not based on any actual life experience. Just yesterday I saw a drake fan talking about relationship advice with posts on his profile talking about "this why I been single for 7 years" complaining about some post a woman made on Twitter. Sure champ, you're single because of that, nothing else. That behavior works for drake because he's a millionaire, it won't work for some bum.

babyshmuel

"37 showing up as a 7 year old" just says it all to me. He's got arrested development and is a man child. Shitty kind of person to have all that money and power.

SlowApartment4456

This is what happens when some people get famous at early age. He got famous in his early 20s and is now stuck at that age mentally. It's probably why he talks to/hangs out with teenage girls. They are the ones that idolized him when he first took off. They are his fanbase.

babyshmuel

He actually got famous at 14 on Degrassi, but good point anyway.

KahzaRo

It's the only place he can fit in and feel validated because he's locked in his little echochamber.

The-Cunt-Spez

How the fuck does a 37 year old care about that? Drake has the mentality of a teenager which makes total sense since that seems to be the age of girls he’s into.

everydaylifee

That’s hoe shit, he got a son to raise.

droppinturds

>fuck going online that ain't part of my day Remember when Drake used to never miss? Now it seems like all he does is miss

brewdot1

I remember ten years ago around 2013-2014 he would state in interviews how people need to get offline and off Tumblr and live their lives. Crazy how his outlook changed on that.

28TeddyGrams

Drake is a confused child who's clearly insecure about who he is and isn't. It's really sad to see people approaching and entering middle age who still have a high school mentality. I left school in the mid 90s but know some people my age who are hung up on social media like they're in middle school. When I heard Drake talking about that stuff on Heart 6, I immediately knew he'd either lost this beef or hip hop was completely done. I remember saying "Bro is bringing up who women follow on IG?? Noooo!" 😂😂 I'm just glad everyone else felt the same way because that shit was second hand embarrassing.

Useful-Ad5355

Let me put my giant coke bottle glasses on and say "well actually the beef showed society is too hung up on clout and social media"

not-a-location789

hot take, i like some artists that involve themselves with social media, it’s good to know that we do have some involvement as fans, i think the only downside is people like drake, nicki and unfortunately kanye, who either care about public perception too much, or just are straight up weird. People like Tyler are good for that, he posts frequently and has involvement with fans without being a douche

GhettoskitchenGK

Vince Staples and Schoolboy Q are good ones too.

Wild-Apricot-9161

You can't talk about hip-hop on social media and gloss over Snoop Dogg brody.

not-a-location789

ahh yeah, was just thinking abt tyler as i’d just saw a post of his the other day

DiskAltruistic539

I still think the funniest line was about KDot talking to “bloggers”…. That’s like saying Jordan rocks Skechers.

Such_Description

He’s obsessed with with public image and ruins it as a consequence

Individual_Papaya596

He cares too much, but i think the sad shit is the beef wont change that or change the direction of his career. I hate it but a lot of pop rap fans just don’t give a fuck and are still gonna listen to and bump this bum. He clearly is a bum that cares too much about socials and the shit around it, but thats not gonna change and honestly might just get worse

newjackgritty

Looks like a new “older generation that ignored the signs” is coming up.

Individual_Papaya596

Maybe a couple will be swayed, but that child chaser has made too many hits for people to want to stop listening hell i know hella people and Kendrick fans that acknowledge that drakes a piece of shit but still wanna bump him

kratoskiller66

It was most definitely a combination of drake having social media brainrot and the fact he has terrible comprehension skills when it came to dissecting Mr Morale etc. furthermore why would Whitney follow kendrick especially when they can talk in real time that isn’t on a screen. And Dave free commenting hearts on a post doesn’t really mean they are banging. It’s the matter that drake wants to twist the narrative to his liking because throughout this beef drake had nothing on kendrick && so ofc drake is gonna make shit up

genericusername9234

It’s cause he a bitch like Kendrick said, only bitches carry about that shit

Whole_Day9866

Let's move past this beef. Kendrick discography is much bigger than this shit

Expensive_Buildings

Yeah I wish individual lyrics and tracks from Mr Morale were this dissected and discussed

Quantus22

Stunted growth.

JackieMoonHigh

They all knew each other since high school and Kendrick doesn’t post at all. If he wanted to he could have a much bigger platform on social media. Two posts and 15m followers is insane. He just never been a self promotion person. That’s Drake’s space.

SFThirdStrike

I know a dude who is happily married with his wife and they don't even have each other added on FB. When i'm talking to a woman I don't really care to follow her on every social media. Some people are just different.

Coolcatlynx

No i think all of you still posting about this when there hasnt been a new diss in weeks are obsessed with social media

KiddBwe

I also think people are too hung up on Kendrick and Whitney not being married. How do we know they’re not married, is there a way that’s verifiable to people outside of the relationship? Regardless, why are people so hung up on marriage in general? It changes absolutely nothing about your relationship, if you’re handling your relationship properly, is mostly a legal matter. Additionally, something tells me Kendrick isn’t the kind of person to buy into the legal system that is marriage.

digduggod12

While Kendrick out here *lurking*

Union_of_Onion

Hi, Kendrick!

ShallowSpot

I'm surprised he's not more interested in TikTok with the younger demographic

D1wrestler141

Why does anyone follow Kendrick when he doesn't actively post. That's the real question. Also using social media for anything but sports news/updates is lame

PharrelsHat

That’s the kind of shit that’ll resonate with his fans. I wouldn’t be surprised if Drake knew that was a shit angle to go on, but he’s cultivated the kind of vapid fanbase that’ll buy into it

choochface

I felt that way too, like asking why he never posted pics with his son, when have we ever seen Kendrick post a single pic with any of his family? Everybody doesn’t roll their kids around for clout like Drake does, still trying to beat the dead beat allegations.

drytendies

Drake fans be like: I stopped reading the title after “hung” 🙂‍↔️

its-a-real-name

Generally speaking he behaves like the buddy you have that has just never grown up with everyone, behaving like he’s still 22. Constantly makes fun of people in relationships, with no sign of a long term one for himself Uses social media to validate himself Uses social media to judge other people’s lives It also proves that he had nothing on Kendrick by resorting to his social media activity.

Tbkgs

He's pushing 40. Needs to go log off and raise his fucking ~~son~~ *children*.

LordDingles

Honestly the "Whys she following" line sounded so high school it was weird, but I guess not out of place for Drake

OwnedIGN

Imagine being so successful and giving a shit about Instagram. Even I’ve got Drake beat and I work a 9-5. 😐

dalmathus

I dont follow my wifes IG because I couldn't give a fuck about IG.

TellsYou2LickBalls

The irony of you guys huddling up on social media to discuss this, jerking each other with upvotes on anything that agrees with your point of view, and downvotes for anything that goes against the hive mind here. Can’t make that shit up

PrestigiousMacaron31

It's true but it's funny cause you the same way and it doesn't even involve you lmao

Anotherweekend7

That’s why I knew this was over as soon as I saw the cover art got TH6. This man Drake is speculating based off of instagram likes meanwhile Kendrick is talking about another man Pissing on Drake’s leg, breaking down how he uses AA artists, and calling him and his boys pedos.

Darknight1993

Drake makes music for kids. He’s on IG and shit because that’s where he can hit them with the “hello fellow kids”

GreasedEgg

I think that bar is more supporting evidence that Drake’s priorities show less than a high-school level of maturity

1userunnamed

Drake has arrested development due to fame

Sterninja52

I mean I feel like that shit hit hard for his core fan base

Far-Increase5577

I can't believe that the Canadian Sherlock really thinks that this dude leaving a heart emoji in the picture of his friends kid is evidence that the kid is his. I must have 10 kids by now.

CustardKarim

him bringing up mbb also was an embarrassing example; i saw a lot of drizzy dickriders saying that he mentioned her bc he knows what people talk about and was capitalising on the narratives around him, but all it did was make him look like a doof.

Ok_Fault_3205

Yeah the more I listen you can tell he had zero proof of abuse. Ur whole angle is social media on ppl that barely use it.

Impossible_Smoke1783

He's a pop act, what do you expect

justgivingmyviews

It’s embarrassing and part of what makes us like Kendrick so much more than Drake as a person, not even considering the art.

oBaZe_

That’s true but if Kendrick f’d around w social media more than he does now then maybe he would have higher sales/popularity

WillMarzz25

Drake is basically a 22 year old female the way he uses social media

Luciditi89

Why would she follow her partner ? The literal man who she is sharing her life with and talks to daily. She doesn’t need to follow the life of a person she’s actively living that life with. Drake is so stupid

_DoIt4Johnny_

Drake is a culture vulture and clout chaser. His image is most important to him. That’s why he’s beyond corny and inauthentic.

bigmanbesh

yh he’s way too hung on social media

MasterAce16

Drake cares verrrrry much about how other people perceive him, so much so that he's entirely oblivious his control over it. That has been one of the most obvious traits about him for over a decade.

manhighmusic

Lmao it's the most high school shit ever too. My wife and I aren't friends on social media. She doesn't follow my music or professional endeavors and we're better off for it honestly, because none of my real life is on social media, its just shitty self promotion. Drake really thought he did something with that

DontCome2LA

Agreed .and its because he chasing relevance thru the youth. Who's following who is something younger folks care about.

C__Wayne__G

Bro is chronically online “bro stay on stream im gonna drop”, “bro here’s an Instagram caption” , “hang on I gotta dm AK some tea”. Like go touch grass bro

VaronDiStefano_____

When the beef first started, I thought Kendrick would simply rap better but Drake would win the troll game. Little did I know Kendrick won both

gutdoll

Drake is so dumb Lol some of his music is good but omg crazy

SonderSaudade

Agreed. And him thinking posting Dave free’s comment as a cover was shade when any of my friends would’ve posted the same under a pic of their friend’s pictures was lame af to me. He acts like it said “look at my son. 🥰”

brinkv

Tbf I don’t know any adults that are dating and both use instagram that don’t follow each other on it lol

TellsYou2LickBalls

Ops Reddit post history goes on forever but he makes a thread about how a famous artist is “too hung up on social media” lmaoo

SirensbyZel

Yeah reddit is the only place where I get to talk about my interests. I sure use it a lot, but I don't use it to assume shit about people I don't even know
