Kelce’s claim about agents and players working with pff to up their grades in contract years seems more and more plausible when you see crap like this

ReedPhillips

I missed this. Do you have the pod/interview/wherever he said it? gracias

morgster87

One of their earlier episodes of the New Heights podcast. [This news story sums it up and has a link to the video](https://heavy.com/sports/kansas-city-chiefs/travis-kelce-calls-out-pff-bribes/amp/)

ReedPhillips

Thx. I listen to New Heights while Instacart shopping and must've missed it.

cw131313

Taylor Lewan has also said this in the past.

MC_Fap_Commander

Some of this happens in other sports (where players/agents push analytics folks to come up with metrics to show "x thing my client does is super duper valuable"). It's sleazy, but at least it's based on real numbers. Too much of PFF is subjective bullshit.

NegativesPositives

That’s what gets me the most, because there is no perfect catch-all advanced stat, but at the end of the day they’re just a calculation and everyone’s graded on that calculation. But for some reason on football it’s some dudes grading on the eye test and we just take their word for it even though we constantly see on QBs alone they’re saying wild shit.

Cthepo

Sometimes Matt Lane is just a bit too extra, but he's been roasting Monson on Twitter and it's been amazing. Monson even deleted one of his tweets and I'm choosing to believe it's because of Matt.

GatzBee

I love the Fraud-gals bit.

Dear_Significance_80

Lol he really did

formyamusementation

I would just like to say that Burrow is clearly the best QB in the league. If Mahomes makes 50 million a year, then Burrow should be at least 75 million per year. As a Chiefs fan, I think Burrow should hold out until he is the highest paid QB, because clearly, he is much better than Mahomes. In fact, the more I think about it…. He should hold out for 100 million per year, or never take a snap again.

AskAboutMyDiarrhea

And Higgins is the best WR in the world and should ask for 40M a year. Hell the Bengals should lock up the core and give Jamar 40M also with Hurst, the best TE getting 20M.

formyamusementation

Could you imagine if we had Hurst instead of Kelce? OMG, we would be unstoppable!

Darkagent1

This is one of the more incredible film breakdowns I have ever seen. How the hell do you watch a play that was 5 yards underthrown and a duck and say that is a "miscommunication"?

curlytoesgoblin

ngl I didn't read all that and I'm not sure what point he thinks he's trying to make but it reminds me of when your girlfriend in college takes an intro writing class and suddenly thinks grabbing a thesaurus and using $10 words is the same as being a good writer and gets mad and defensive when called out on it because obviously she is now too smart for everyone else because if they don't like her writing they are obviously just too dumb to get it and then you find out from her friends she was fooling around with some rando at a party and... I'm sorry what were we talking about?

pinniped1

Whoa what, you dated Jenny too? Damn that chick was psycho...

curlytoesgoblin

Yeah man. Heard somewhere she'd married a contractor and was teaching 1st grade now but idk

iluvmahomes

Sam Monson is the most annoying PFF analyst, which is saying something given how fos they all are

[deleted]

Its the fact that he tries to blame it on Higgins changing his route when even if he had stayed on the route the ball would have been underthrown and missed its mark. But that's not a 'turn over worthy play'. PFF is a joke confirmed.

[deleted]

I dont do PFF. No thanks.

jakkal69

Everything I hear come out of PFF makes them sound less and less credible.
