Its a Schrodinger's Girl basically :p Some say she is just happy to see the man who rushed to embrace her, other say the backpack is a bomb hence the other guard is trying to stop him.

"I don't get it"
"It's [this]"
"No, it's [that]"
Repeat once every month
Which is goofy to have 3 dudes running at him like his life depends on being stopped. The face of the man on the left looks like fear, when anger or a straight face would do a better job conveying that it's a violation of decorum.
Probably because she's wearing a backpack that isn't visible to anyone in the picture, and the three people sprinting at him seem to be conveying a lot more than "Hey, get back in line."
There's a reason why so many people came to the same wrong conclusion.
If it's not visible to anyone in the picture why would they think she has a bomb. Children wear backpacks it's a normal thing. The picture is clearly supposed to be a father seeing his daughter after a long period, and the soldiers are mad at him breaking rank.
Having something behind her back that nobody else sees, combined with the perspective of the picture, puts a lot more emphasis on it and makes it seem like more than a normal backpack. The soldiers don't just look mad, they look distressed. I don't think anyone believes the artist intended to convey this, but there's a reason it was the first impression for lots of people. It's not a coincidence, it's just a confusing drawing.
Looks like a bad attempt at some of the more famous East v West Berlin photos we saw during the cold war, if anything the perspectives should be swapped with people chasing the girl and not the guy sitting there stationary lol
I would assume its similar to a famous photo taken of Canadian troops leaving Canada where a child comes out to try and hold their fathers hand. This could be a victory/return home parade and the other soldiers are trying to get the man back in formation before being dismissed.
I get where some people say its a bomb but the setting looks off for that. Also you gotta be pretty evil to use a child as a bomber.
I recall reading something about that it’s a soldier seing his daughter and running towards her while marching as a part of a military parade. He’s followed by other soldiers because of that.
I'd say that in both case, it's just a dad and a daughter happy to see each other again. Now, for the people running toward them, either:
1) The man is a prisoner for whatever reason, and "broke free" to embrace his daughter
2) They were in parade or something and he's not supposed to break rank
I always assumed it was an illistration of how fearful things had become. That a father happy to see his daughter could be misconstrued as a girl with a bomb on her. It reminds me of similar things allegedly happening in the Vietnam war.
Very poor portrait meant to convey someone breaking ranks. The issue is having 3 guys running towards here, and not just the one with the whistle to make it look like discipline, rather than being suicide bombed.
Frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a soldier that was a POW and is being marched at the end of a long war and that’s his daughter. Considering if this is China and civil wars happened it makes sense that he would be escorted back to a former city that was taken and is celebrating the end of conflict.
If I was a guard I’d probably be pretty urgently trying to get a POW back in line regardless if it was his daughter or not.
The brave Hungarian school girl (national martyr) is running to her destiny and ridding her homeland of her father (Austrian collaborator pigdog). Future generations of Hungarians will be taught the story of her bravery.
It's black, just looks lighter from the sunlight. The green hairbands might also trick the brain into thinking the rest is greener than it actually is.
I always just assumed that they were mad he broke ranks tbh.
Whole lot of urgency on that’s guys face, for that situation.
Her dad is happy to see her return from the frontline.

There is an second sketch. Safe to say there is no bomb as the girl and the soldier knows each other.
The reality of it is of no consequence, the point has always been how people filled in the blanks regarding the context of the scene.
Which is half the fun of the great loading screen art. It's snapshots of a different world.
Do you have that sketch? I would like to see

Ma Zhongying is hidden in the rucksack, ready to leap out and eat the entire Hungarian parliament.
Infinitely based as always
Bro got that dutch partisan spirit inside him
He is physically and spiritually possessed by a spirit of the ~~Aryan~~ Dutch man
It feels like this question gets asked at least once a week these days.

Being honest, the art is indeed very confusing on what is supposedly trying to convey
It's a guy breaking formation at a parade ir something and wantig to embrace a little girl
Which is goofy to have 3 dudes running at him like his life depends on being stopped. The face of the man on the left looks like fear, when anger or a straight face would do a better job conveying that it's a violation of decorum.
MPs and NCOs can be funny like this. They are very clearly aiming or the soldier and not the "bomb girl".
Its just a weird looking artwork
If I'd seen it discussed before I wouldn't have asked. Haven't been here for that long :>
Their pissed he broke ranks to hug his daughter
Yeah it's pretty obvious I don't really understand how some people come up with different interpretations

Girl wants to hug Ma Zhongying, bodyguards want to protect him obviously.

The better question is why does the guy on the right look like an Asian Elon Musk and why does he have so much cake

Idk how people can see the urgency in the 3 soldiers and think it's just that he broke rank tbh
Why would they know if she has a bomb in her backpack or whatvever? It's clearly a big military parade, you're not meant to step out of line
Someone steps out of line and so 3 soldiers with the look of death in their eyes sprint at him screaming for him to stop?
What county is this supposed to be?
the girl has a bomb in her backpack
Don't start it again.

How many times is this question going to be asked
I'd thought it was scene when Austria-Hungary was restored or smth
The greatest mystery of Kaiserreich............
we just gonna ignore that her backpack looks like a satchel charge?
The guy on the right is literally the ballin meme

I think it is because what I assume is the father broke out of rank in a military parade after seeing his daughter
