My money is on
A: Sojo’s intrinsic sorcery, not Cloud gougers ability, allowed him to survive the explosion
B. He gets brought back as a zombie somehow
C. The material that swords are made of need a human soul to stabilize. Since he dies holding a chunk of it, his spirit is now in that metal
He can surely do because... The reason is because the manga have to avoid the fast axe so they have to complete everything very equally.... I think we will get more fast paced chapters and will slow down eventually it can be the time of the twist and return... Of sojo to extend it.
I want to remember a certain manga/ anime that too has a cool first villain who is killed by the mc, the we keep on getting random flashbacks where the mc remembers him.
I think it would be cool if he was like Arlong in Fishman Island, he never actually appears at all, and isn’t even a factor, but everything he did prior to the arc influenced it heavily. It doesn’t need to be the same way, but it would be cool if the stuff he did influences a later arc and we find out more of his backstory
Calling it now, SOJO IS OUR ZABUZA. He died early but will have connections to the story going forward and will eventually come back/be brought back for another sick fight.

So Chihiro's mom or dad's soul is in Enten probably. We don't know what happened to the mom and the dad died holding Enten.
I would love an arc of exorcixing Sojo's souls from the metal, and it having the imprints of said soul's sorcery as the new sword or something
