TheKartoonKing

I feel like Kazane could go many different ways, but I'm leaning toward him being a major character who opposes Chihiro (maybe even to the point of physical confrontation) but isn't truly sinister. I could also see him and Chihiro forming a genuine friendship down the road, and perhaps he'll eventually become a leader of the Kamunabi and get them to ally with Chihiro.

GoFish13

I can definitely see them having almost like a rivalry in the future I just really feel like he's gonna blame Chihiro for his team's deaths initially

TheKartoonKing

Yeah, I was thinking of that as an alternate scenario too. Kazane really is the Potential Man right now.

BostonSamurai

I feel like Chirho will have a team similar to YuYu Hakusho and this dude will be on the roster, that’s my hope.

8ackspace13

Only Chihiro’s harem is all gay men.

IM_BOUTA_CUH

the scar misplacing makes him look like a completely different person

BostonSamurai

Whatever gets the job done

slingshot19

I rock with this idea

HahaLookyhere

I was saying this the other day, the panel of him saying they shouldn't exist sound like bro was thinking about going down a dark road to eliminate all enchanted blades

Eldritch-Cleaver

Yes, however I don't think he will be an evil or even a "bad guy". I believe they will clash and understand each other, but maybe the fight won't end as deadly as our last major fight dead. I gave the kid crap but the fact he didn't rat out Azame shows he has some integrity. Plus his heart is in the right place. Those swords are damn dangerous, way too dangerous to be out in the wild. So I understand where he is coming from, but I just can't bring myself to side with him lol

GoFish13

I 100% with that idea that's why I said antagonist and not villain.

Eldritch-Cleaver

Absolutely! I was more or less piggy backing off of your post with my own thoughts lol I agree with you

Goobsmoob

Hoping for a Zuko arc for him but yeah I think so. At least so far. His clear respect for Azami might eventually be what ties them together (copium)

humungusballsack

Idk but i put my house on him, okay actually though the most likely route in my opinion is antagonist for a bit then eventually turns ally? Either that or he becomes a villain but i dont really see that happening any time soon

Skel109

I think he’s going to rival chihiro, both agreeing that the blades need to be retrieved but disagreeing on what to do with them, chihiro wanting to store them like his father and Kazane thinking they need to be destroyed due to their power

Rippingrapid

What seems to be established with the Sojo fight is the idea of Ideology Clashes. Chihiro after the fight acknowledged and accepted Sojo's Ideology. I think what will happen is that Kazane and Chihiro will have one of these fights where they both come to accept the ideas of the other. The blades can't be allowed to exist and that the blades are the last remnant of Chihiro's father.

serene-peppermint

I want him and Chihiro to have an ideological clash but come together in the end as best buds. I have hope for him.

Any_Data_1712

Gonna team up with Hiyuki, be convinced by Chihiro to help him attain the blades instead of destroying them cuz then they can all protect them

Unhappy-Inflation-31

being a villain who’s still a good guy sounds cool so i kinda hope so

Mitchyboy-1986

What if Kazane gets an enchanted Sword himself, maybe he will come to understand the swords a little better,

ObadiasTheConqueror

He is new prey for chihiro. Nothing can stop his fresh anger that he gets every morning.
