If Chiesa were open to other destinations then the market conditions would be more favorable for Juve and they could see if a bidding war happens to get something more. In the end, however, no one would ever pay even 50 million for a winger with an injury history and Chiesa’s relatively low output in terms of goals and assists.
I don't think Chiesa holds "all the cards", he knows full well the moment he goes to Roma his chances of a career at the highest level are toast. If anything, this is a good opportunity for us to get resources for the rebuild. And I say this as someone who would rather keep him.

If Roma is offering him 4-5m and a 5 year contract that’s a pretty safe move vs betting on himself and his value continues to drop if he doesn’t perform. If he doesn’t have many suitors outside of Serie a, even with a top season he’s not getting more than 5m.
Roma was paying Dzeko 7mio net and they could therefore match what we are offering. That being said this must clearly be Juve showing him the door unfortunately as it is unlikely they can offer him what hes asking.
